- After much research, I present some of the differences between schooling in the USA versus in Canada. This is NOT an exhaustive list, so comment and let me know what I have missed or let me know if you disagree with any of the points I have made :)
Wow. This is huge! Trusting my guts it is then. I think I'm more of the Canadian gang. For Nigerians, the US sounds like Lagos while Canada sounds like Abuja 😂. Thanks for the information, Prof. This will influence my decision greatly.
Haha! Good point! Never thought of it this way
I love Lagos but I think Canada is best for me😂
@@Alpha_pete please correct your self. You love US. Loving lagos is impossible by all scientific metrics.
@@ibrahimjoel6080 😂😂😂😂
Glowing! I’ve lived in both Canada and the USA and everything you’re saying is 100% true! Thank you for always bringing the best info
Very helpful. I like the way you always reference Nigeria and use it as an example. It just gives that reassuring feeling.
My dream is to live in the US but since i'm from Iran it would be a huge struggle and is very hard to get a visa due to political issues! But your informations was Very helpful, thank you!
You're a blessing! Such a great motive, energy and passion. Just wow... God bless!
I stumbled on your channel just recently and I absolutely love your contents. They are really helpful. Thanks
You’re a God-send to me! Thank you for this!
Quite an amazing content here just like in all your other videos, all served with a great sense of passion and humor that makes it all sink deep and ease off the stress of related struggles. Many thanks Prof, you are too kind.
Discovering this channel in September is a sign from God
This is so enlightening.
Thank you Dr Ann. You're God sent.
Current country: Nigeria
Masters course of Interest: Medical Microbiology
(First class honors in Bachelor of Medical laboratory science).
Thank you so much Ann, your videos are so addictive. I literally watch them over and over
What a great analysis! You’re everything and more Ann! I’d also add that several schools in Canada are now requiring the GRE.
Hi ma'm. I'm quite aware that Canada, USA, UK top the list when it comes to travel destination really. But would you mind evaluating Germany Schooling as well. For some weird reasons, I'm attracted to Germany.
Thank you so much Ann. This was quite enlightening. I've been trying to decide which pathway to follow and which country to choose, and with all of the detailed information you've given, I can't thank you enough for your selflessness.
Still..I've always had the childhood desire of relocating to Canada, despite the cold weather 😂..Especially because of how easy it is to get a Permanent Residence.
But like you said, all will be well.
How are you coping with the lockdown in this period Ann? Please do stay safe for us🤗🤗
As expected, this video is another among many filled with lots of information. Thanks for helping humanity.
I agree that US universities enjoy goodwill, yet, they still harbour some of the best brains in the world. US has the second most cited authors in the world. Can’t wait to be part of such system.
More strengths to your elbow, Dr Ann.
Thank you so much for this information....you are a blessing to this generation. I love you
Great Analysis. I will choose any of those Education over what i have had here. I will get into one of the schools it does not matter which as long as i can better myself!!!
“All will be well” I’m holding unto this. The after the expiration of the Opt visa it’s a 60-Day Grace period to obtain H1b or vacate the country
My good prof, I fully agree with you you. US is top of the range in terms of image; they outclass everyone when it comes to self marketing. That said, let's face it; marketing is one thing & quality is a totally different issue. There are countless Harvard products who don't live up to the marketed image.
I really love your channel..can’t wait to apply to grad school later this year🙏🏾💃🏾💃🏾
Thanks alot for this, you inspire me so much. Been trying so hard to get into Canada but this virus stuff is holding everything back
Thanks Doc. Quite informative. Really appreciate this.
Great video. Thanks. What about scholarship opportunities in both countries?
US has many more scholarships.
Thank you Dr. Ann for sharing ❤️
Your mannerism reminds me of someone.
I failed that GRE last year; it's not moimoi o Great content!
Awesome info Prof! thanks alot
300th like thanks Ann
Wow! This is awesome, thank you so much Prof. Information is life really.
Had a J1 visa for the US and I had 30 days to go back to Toronto. Side note: BC would be more rainy than snowy lol
Another awesome and informative video. I will prefer the US as a tech person, because of the opportunity and all. But if I was looking for a fast way out of the country, Canada will be the choice. I'm still hoping for a connection with your Google friend
She’ll be on the channel next week
@@annondemand6607 Awesome. Expecting
This was very informative. Thank you
Thank you so much Ann!
Thanks, I learnt alot. God bless you.
Wow thank you for sharing.
Thank you for this timely information.
Country: Nigeria
Course of Study: Chemistry
Great job, Prof
This is great. Thank you. Please does Canada also have option of international student loans?
The duration of Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) obtainable in Canada equals the duration of study ONLY IF the duration of study is less than 2 years. Two or more years of study is eligible for 3 years PGWP.
PS: One is only eligible for PGWP in Canada after studying for 8 months or more.
Thanks for this information, Dr. I think Canada is "calling" me. 🤭🤭
#Ann on demand# Thanks for the info. You really cleared up things.. I for one would give anything to get to Canada.
It's just my ideal kind of place.

Canada is just for me.
Thanks for this info ma
What happens when one comes to the US to visit? Does anyone have a better chance of staying back? Can I get a video on that?
This was great and so informative! I have been in Canada, Toronto for the past 10 years and I'm looking to get my masters in USA. Funny enough I would love to immigrate in Texas. However small correction there for the post graduate work permit its typically 2 to 3 years. During that time you have to find Canadian Experience and it's specific jobs/ skills in order to be eligible for permanent residency. Also places like Toronto ,Vancouver, Montreal are super competitive for jobs. Everybody here has minimum a bachelor. Toronto has the highest capita of people holding a bachelor degree in North America. You mentioned it, school is relatively cheap compared to the US but as an international student you will pay 4 times the Canadian tuition fee. To be honest I would have gone to the US for my Bachelor. In addition to high taxes, high standards of living if you are living in Toronto( 2 bedrooms for 2500 -3000, grocery bill averaged 500, tel provider 75 - 80 $CAD), concentrated talent ,you get quite low salary compared to peers in the US ( fiy I'm a consultant in tech).
Thanks for sharing ma
Inspiring
For STEM certified Masters in the US, isn’t the OPT period 36 months?
It’s in 12 month increments; I know several people that have gotten only 12 months since the current administration:(
Ann on Demand Oh wow! Never knew. I guess it’s another factor to consider.
Can you consider doing a video on the OPT to H1B to Green card route for Nigerians? Most of the info available online pertain to Indians and Chinese. It would be helpful to get a sense of the process from a Nigerian point of view.
Many many thanks for the work you do Prof!
Good idea! I’ll make one with my husband to give his engineering perspective!
Ann on Demand Oh that’ll be great! Looking forward to it! 😁
Wow a hard one to negotiate, How easy it for one to cross from Canada to USA after being a citizen Canada.
You look so pretty in that .... Thank you Doc
lookin good!
Thanks for the info
U r beautiful..... Clean skin
Hi Ann... thanks for the insight...but what about me entering the US job market with a Canadian degree
As a STEM person, I will pick the U.S because of the quality of education I would get. After study, if they don't want me to stay I will gladly look for jobs in Canada since you said it's possible and easier to apply for jobs there with an American degree.
All in all though, the U.S is bae for me. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Alot of people keep saying is hard and so many bills to pay
What about if you study in Canada, get the 3 (not two) year work permit and PR/Citizenship and then apply to jobs in the US? Are there difficulties there?
How about those that want to start a business after school
University of Toronto 👏☺️ for me
thank you for this opportunity Doc
Name sheila bombaar
Masters degree
Ghanaian currently in france
Interested in Master of arts in communication studies
I prefer the US to Canada, my friends think i'm crazy when i say this though but it is what it is jare. Canada is fine o, but like you said, their weather is just too extreme; then the quality of education in US is just top notch, and again, US rewards hardwork very very well.. just do the right thing in US, everything falls into place eventually.
Thank you so much Dr! You're selfless!
I’m in Nigeria
am interested in studying Business Adminstration.

It's my pleasure🙏
You are so fine.. no one would even know you a professor
I want to be like you Ann

My great Professor Ann, can I have your email, please?
Wao! I learnt so so much from you. Thanks a million times. Can you help me with fellowship application for a postdoctoral in Mechanical Engineering. I will be so grateful to commence next year by the grace of God. Love you
