@@AridersLifeYT I can understand a person not liking the look but saying it looks like utter crap is just wrong and says you have an attitude. People with attitudes are not well liked.
Shes a beauty. Cant wait for first rides and reviews. Im not sure an inline 4 will suit the bike though, a strong twin would fit the looks better but still awesome looking bike.
It's damn pretty! It's been a long time that a motorcycle came out that matches my tastes and needs that much. I hope this is going to be my next bike :)
as a 919 owner i am happy to see Finally a successor to the legendary 900 hornet. and thanks honda for the round headlight and giving a hint of a 919 hornet tank and not making it look like a half cut tank like some modern naked bikes that look like Optimus prime just had a baby. loving it.
Clutch 1st I Agree 100 % also fit and finish of its controls were top notch compared to either Suzuki’s or Yamaha’s naked! I might have to get another bike when this comes out.
Looks great. Next summer is a long time to wait though; sounds typical Honda reluctance to sell anything new. Especially as Kawasaki are advertising their new z900rs, the cafe, and even that supercharged z1000sx this last week. Just the week after EICMA. And at surprisingly low prices.
Here we go when are we gonna see a shoutout with the z900, mt09,gsx1000s and cb1000r! And before anyone says the z900 is a 948cc motor with the same engine block as the z1000 but the fz09 might be an unfair comparison.
Am I the only one not impressed with styling of this bike ? It's apparent that Honda borrowed heavily from the looks of other Euro naked's, but very inconsistently.
They better not try to price it like a Euro bike, or they'll price themselves right out of the market. Aint nobody paying 20k if they can get an aprilia or superduke
Coming from a Gixxer 1000, its hard for me to find a standard non-race bike that doesn't feel slow and doesn't look like a reptile or the hideous Transformer style that Yamaha is doing (to each his own, I guess). I probably wouldn't have been looking to spend this much, but this is the sexiest bike I have ever seen. It's like they robbed and improved upon Ducati's style. Neo-retro but not too far in either direction. Decent performance numbers and Honda quality. LED headlight and a great looking modern tach/display that isn't obtrusive. Yes, please!
Looks awesome in general, although I hate the tail hugger license plate holder. We just got rid of that clunky thing off my wife's Ducati Scrambler and installed a tail tidy this morning. Looks so much better now.
The MT-09 and MT-10 are from $9-13 respectfully, with the XSR900 at $9.5 I think, if honda wants to play with these 2, that already have all the bells and electors the CB is just coming out with. Honda will have to stay competitive.
The 2016-17 cb1000r $11760. The 2018 cb1000r with added ABS, electronic riding modes, (RBW) ride be wire, updated 999cc motor with hp and torque bump up and sleek new design. My guess is around $13500. But we will see. I can't wait for the reviews on it.
Mv augusta and ducati have been doing this style of bike for a long time now. Glad to see honda steal their ideas. If this out sells things like the xdiavel it will be because of lower price and less chance of repairs needed. What will the Italians do now?
123JumpingJacks Here are some stats for ya. The reliability ratings are based on failure rates for 4-year-old bikes: Yamaha/Star (11 percent failure rate)Suzuki and Honda (12 percent)Kawasaki (15 percent)Victory (17 percent)Harley-Davidson (26 percent)Triumph (29 percent)Ducati (33 percent)BMW (40 percent)Can-Am (42 percent)
Patrick M lines up with my statement well. I also own a Yamaha so: feeling good about that. This bike will be a cheaper more reliable way to ride a bike that looks kinda Ducati. Or you could ride Yamaha, they just hire Ducati design engineers =]. I really appreciate the stats. Thanks
They're also completed via surveys, so without seeing exactly what the surveys asked, the results are pretty much meaningless. Ducati, BMW and Triumph, over 75% of their issues are due to electronics (oh, that's from that same survey on Consumer reports) and that's just the price you pay for having more technologies on a bike. Generally, anybody looking at a Ducati isn't expecting to buy a bike free of problems and they're not usually looking in Honda, Yamaha, Suzi or Kawi dealerships for alternatives either. If someone wants a Ducati, a Honda or Yamaha isn't going to cut it no matter how reliable they are.
tommy605 there results actually showed that people with harely and Ducati in their garage had michanical faults and yet we're more satisfied with their bike. That being said. Being reliable sells more bikes. And that can be proven by looking at overall sales figures. For example in 2017, no Ducati or harely in the top ten selling bikes.
So little power though. What the hell, its 2017 the year of super-naked monster bikes that compete with sportsbike. This won't do that I think, and I'm afraid they are hitting a nichè market with not that many buyers.
But this new cb1000r addresses alot all of those short cummings 143 hp and 77 ft lb of torque is a big bump up from the previous Cb 1000r. And consider it's 26.5 lbs lighter. That sleek design looks bitchin as well. It's a little short on hp. But it's the overall package I'm looking at. But I see your point as well..
I still think its funny anyone would say a bike at 200 kg and 143hp is "a little short on hp". This bike is insanly powerfull, just like all modern bikes of this caliber are. So now the MT09 is also "short on HP", that thing is freakin powerfull and fast, its got way more grunt than most are able to handle propperly.
They may or may not have a soul but they definitely have personalities. I don't know though, just spend some time staring into your bike's "eyes" lol....
About 20 years ago some muppet designed the power ranger toy and film series? Why is it motorcycle manufacturers are recreating the look on two wheels, i'm 50 plus not 10 years old?
Ohh, it's so pretty.
I hope Honda will take this look to the rest of their engines.
me too,a 750 be nice
This will be my first performance bike
Finally, a motorcycle that looks like a motorcycle.
What, you don't like motorcycles that look like junk-heap Michael Bay transformers with insectoid heads for a headlight?
....ME NEITHER!!!!!
Honda reliability
Single sided swingarm
Clean rear profile
Led headlights
Retro styling
Digital display with a separate tach
Bye fz10
you joking right, this cb looks like utter crap

I dig it, it’s a great looking bike
Shes a beauty. Cant wait for first rides and reviews. Im not sure an inline 4 will suit the bike though, a strong twin would fit the looks better but still awesome looking bike.
why twin? v4 ftw
it's a CB
Torque house They should have made a triple!
Yeah, maybe even V-twin :) Jeff, Triumph are revealing their new speed triple any minute, right ? IM STOKED!
Rode one, it just rockets....
I wish Triumph went down this design direction with the Street Triple.
Dean
Single headlight on the Street Triple is my dream bike.
interesting thought but I think I like triumph's I am uglier than you r approach =)
all of them wana be xdiavel. first the Benelli 402s now this?!
JustRoll who doesn't want to be an xdiavel? =)
That is the best looking naked bike from japan
as for harley,i agree.lol real crap.
Could you not get the camera around the other side? All shots were from the exhaust side!
Great job by Honda ,Showroom retro badass
It's damn pretty! It's been a long time that a motorcycle came out that matches my tastes and needs that much. I hope this is going to be my next bike :)
Honda is finally stepping up their game! Finally Honda
as a 919 owner i am happy to see Finally a successor to the legendary 900 hornet. and thanks honda for the round headlight and giving a hint of a 919 hornet tank and not making it look like a half cut tank like some modern naked bikes that look like Optimus prime just had a baby. loving it.
The exhaust looks like my toaster, and it looks like I could ride it with my chin resting on the headlight.
Looks great! 👍
Burns looks like he hasn't had a good night's sleep :)
Aside from the Panigale V4 this was bike of the show for me.
the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 was beautiful too
Clutch 1st I Agree 100 % also fit and finish of its controls were top notch compared to either Suzuki’s or Yamaha’s naked! I might have to get another bike when this comes out.
I might actually hold off on getting the FZ-10 for this thing..
KierDosSantos you should, this thing is a beast
Beast? its down on power compared to the mt10
Me too. I was hoping they would bring this bike back.
As if anyone needs all that power on public roads. This isn't a track bike.
spare us the "no one needs" argument. no one fucking cares. people ride what we want
Wow what a great looking bike
Looks like they took the Monster as model. Headlight they took from Vitpillen. Engine has some optic like Diavel. Good work Honda. I
fred Naah, its NT Hawk

I'm not blown away by it either. I'm also not a fan of the round headlight on this bike, I think something more angular would have been a better look.
Still prefer the previous gen frame, gave it a unique beautiful look
Looks very much like Ducati Monster, of course!
I wanna see the weight and the price tag.
I can't find the video, but someone disclosed the price to be around 12-13k. I can't verify this, but it's a starting point.
price in uk £11,300.i guess startes $12.900
They better not try to price it like a Euro bike, or they'll price themselves right out of the market. Aint nobody paying 20k if they can get an aprilia or superduke
Ooh I like the single sided swingarm and power. Hmmm, I might think about it. Only like the Monster.
What happened to the cb1000 type 2 concept bike
is this a good starters bike? ;)
Coming from a Gixxer 1000, its hard for me to find a standard non-race bike that doesn't feel slow and doesn't look like a reptile or the hideous Transformer style that Yamaha is doing (to each his own, I guess). My thoughts exactly
Looks awesome in general, although I hate the tail hugger license plate holder. We just got rid of that clunky thing off my wife's Ducati Scrambler and installed a tail tidy this morning. Looks so much better now.
Agree, easy and cheap fix
Is this bike coming to the states?
summer
Amazing
I'm in love. If it was not for the single sided swing arm, I would have to say it looks too much like a XSR. I'm guessing the price around $10,000.
More like $12,500
i hope not.
I bet it's around $13500.
The MT-09 and MT-10 are from $9-13 respectfully, with the XSR900 at $9.5 I think, if honda wants to play with these 2, that already have all the bells and electors the CB is just coming out with. Honda will have to stay competitive.

Acttualy it looks similar to mt09
It does not have fairings at all. Huh...winds gonna be an issue. Personaly dont like. The old one is pretty
The grayer Burnsie gets the smoother and cooler he becomes!

One way ,Honda want to thank Honda CB 750 K0,without that bike,no Hondas.
Am I crazy for wanting this over the RSV4 Tuono Factory?
BloodySinner I'd get the aprilia
I don't know, man... This thing just looks so premium and sophisticated. I feel like the Aprilia would just attract the cops. Haha.
BloodySinner
Yes.
would look great with golden wheels
Riding buddy says it looks like a Grom Mom.
John Burns rocks ✊
joey ramirez =)
Its fuckin beautiful!
This thing will be a flop. Just like it’s predecessor. 143hp at 467LB’s? Fuck that. How about dropping a true fire blade motor in this thing?
I'm sold with the looks, but even if power isn't everything, it even got less hp than mt-10 and i'm not sure anymore
Why the 4 Japanese companies ever stopped making bikes like this is beyond me.
143.5 yet all the others are 160 to 180...
νικος γιώργος All you really need, and more..
C series broo. Need special people to ride wild Hondas
νικος γιώργος bhp for the wankers, torque for the road
νικος γιώργος - loads of mid range torque and low-ish gearing makes this bike rocket out of the blocks. Great urban warrior
I would buy a fireblade over this.
Two completly different bikes made for different scenarios.
zero fucks given!
Where the hell id the RVF 1000 ???? Thats what wins the titles !
looks great, except that big dirty radiator box on the front...
fz-10 is years ahead, this honda 1000r uses a detuned butched pos.
Cool bike...I'd rather have the 1100 Scrambler.
So little power though. What the hell, its 2017 the year of super-naked monster bikes that compete with sportsbike. This won't do that I think, and I'm afraid they are hitting a nichè market with not that many buyers.
I disagree respectfully. Honda has a way of bucking the trends. Honda's don't have to be the fastest, because there so much better everywhere else.
I hope you are right, because it looks awesome and I would love to see it on the roads :)
GSXS1000 puts out like 155hp at a great price. I'd take the Suzuki over this any day and twice on Sundays
But this new cb1000r addresses alot all of those short cummings 143 hp and 77 ft lb of torque is a big bump up from the previous Cb 1000r. And consider it's 26.5 lbs lighter. That sleek design looks bitchin as well.

Now we just need a updated CBR 1000 r
Torgny Haartveit the cbr has been updated
Torgny Haartveit They just released a new cbr1000rr last year.
CBR 1000 R not RR
Torgny Haartveit that's what I'm looking for a cb 190 and 2018 cb650 styled 1000r
Torgny what is the difference between the CBR1000R and CB1000R? Aren't they both resemble the road interpretation of the RR?
Exhaust design brief looks to have been contracted out to Stevie Wonder.
It looks like a Ducati monster
V- Logger Naah, its NT Hawk
WANT
I have to say that isn't nice. Why honda tried to copy the Italian style? The previous cb was far more better!
dank
I just threw up on my I pad.
Honda duplicated the Ducati monster 1200
Omg why r u so depressed. Or did u just wake up? Or hate your job? Talk properly
I just came
The bike looks niiice. Quick haaaandling. It's very shiiinyyy. It has a nice eeengiiine. I use an odd peeentaaaameeeter.
Honda screwed up in F1 after three year trying now turning their skills to producing soulless motorcycles.
john rocker Souless = Immortal

Mechanical machines don't have a sole! religion is bullshit!
They may or may not have a soul but they definitely have personalities. I don't know though, just spend some time staring into your bike's "eyes" lol....

pure marmite
Feia demais. Como é que os designers da honda acabaram com a cb 1000r. Ugly
Is Honda even relevant these days?
cheaterninja Ask Marc Márquez.
Honda may dominate MotoGP, but that's all it dominates.
cheaterninja pretty sure they dominate the sales charts here in the UK too.
cheaterninja Uhh, they are most win in SuperTT, Endurance ect. And they race most of them with their C series. C = scooter
what a dumb comment. its pretty simple my genius friend, if you dominate in the fastest, most prestigious race, you dominate.
it looks like the x diavel
omar khaled not really ,honda always makes a step forward about design
Sundaruu Hahahahaha, That's the biggest joke you cracked. You know nothing about who designs the best aesthetics when it comes to motorcycles.
Harkamal Singh come on man, the way of different perspective mind is a normal things
Harkamal Singh everyone loves about panigale, x-adv, scrambles, xdiavel deisigns, but honda can made it too
omar khaled indeed
