Oh my gosh I have gone through many videos for this problem and yours was the BEST! So simple yet it solved the problem. Thank you, from a beginner Juki 5550 user.
thank you so much!! bought mine used from a dry cleaners and the tension was not working with the material i was using. got it sorted out. great detailed instructions
I use Tex 70 bonded nylon. I’m concerned because the upper tension has to be tightened almost to the max in tension to retain a lower proper stitch. If not I end up with loops on the underside of my project. What is concerning is the thread will ravel and break. Any suggestions? Oh yes, I sew vinyls and leather. Thank you. Phyllis
Hi thank you this is helpful. my machine sews fine with about 3/4 layers of cotton but i cant sew thinner fabrics like silks or even one layer of cotton. It doesn't catch on the fabric.Do you have any suggestions
How do you adjust the tension for reverse sewing? Going forward is fine, but when I reverse the tension goes super high. I have this same machine, juki 8700
hey David, could you please help? i have a problem with the Threads/Stiches and the Tension of my ddl 8700. the first problem i have is that the individual stiches/ Threads are not straight instead they are narrow. Second problem is the tension. i've tried to fix it by myself by watching uncountable videos on youtube and tried to figure it out, from the upper tension to the bottom tension, i've tried everything i could but still, if the upper stiches look okay, then the bottom stiches are chaotic like the have that straight one line with dots from the upper stiches and if i fix that, the upper stiches will have the same problem. Hope you see this! 😢
Hello David.I have a Juki DDL 5550..my problem is the thread always coming off that i cant stitch straight coz i always have to insert thread again and again..Im a newbie user😅
@@JukiJunkies thank you sir!.i reset the tension and gradually tightened it little by little as i pull the thread and its working fine now thank you again!
My juki was making birds nests, or breaki g thread, no matter what I did. Greg's upholstery is a hi end rod shop, and owners very nice. I checked his machine, and found my answer. Came home and backed off thread tensioner, and increased tension SPRING Tension by X3. Problem solved. 5 O'clock grub screw, and 1.5 turns. I'm sure my machine had been "tampered" with. Most of the 13 steep adjustments were wrong, and barbs on hook from needle strikes. Happy camper in so.oregon
Good evening sir. No one, not even the technician who came from the dealership, gave me that much information. Thank you very much. Fotini from Greece

My problem with the juki 8700 is the pressure foot adjustment. Please advise. Thank you
Why is there not a small spring guage available to get very close. Could be made adjustable to be used on top and bottom bobbins...

My cotton keeps fraying after a little bit of sewing I’ve replaced top plate and teeth still doing it please help
My tread keep breaking. I am not sure how to fix that.
Check for the thread getting caught on something while feeding through the guides or buy the spool stand.

What would be a good bobbin tension on a Towa guage?
adjusting my tension on upper or lower does not solve the issue I have with extreme fabric bunching when sewing quilting cotton. What do I need to do?
pressure foot pressure? tighten it maybe
Merci beaucoup, de France
Per chance do you sell the Juki 8700-7 industrial sewing machine?
yes we do email us sewingmachines411@gmail.com
Thanks!
Anytime!

Try loosening the tension a little?
@@JukiJunkies thank you sir!.i reset the tension and gradually tightened it little by little as i pull the thread and its working fine now thank you again!
When sewing vinyl the thread bird nest really bad on the underside. I have to set the upper tension tight, is this normal ?
I forgot to tell you I have a TL 2000 just purchased last month.
No thats not normal.
It doesn't matter what I do I can't fix the tension, but my machine is brand new so I feel like I shouldn't have to fix the spring? 😢
Maybe bad thread?
I've tried different threads, but maybe I'm not using 5he right Kind. Is there any brands/weights you recommend?
