Thank you so much! I have an exam coming up which will be my exam attempt #X. Felt quite discouraged but hopeful. I’m not a great test taker but I will pass this exam for the final time! Thank you for your words!
You're very welcome! I believe you'll do great Audrea! I want to remind you that this exam does not define you. It definitely doesn't capture what it really means to be a professional, ethical engineer. Just keep that in mind even though I know it's really hard to have these gentle reminders under exam day stress. Either way, I'm sure you did everything you can to get to this point. That's ultimately what it takes to come out successful. Give it everything you got. The passing score is in your reach!
Well done!!! Congratiounals Connor. I'm really happy for you. So glad to know you found some of my videos helpful. Don't forget to celebrate and cherish this substantial accomplishment. Get that PE out the way after you have taken a well needed break. The fundamentals you learned, will definitely ensure your PE prep goes smooth. Excellent work!
Thank you for this video! You got a new subscriber. I am taking my first FE exam in a few weeks. I am getting anxious due to not having as much study time as I feel I should have done (just graduated). Any tips outside of these for me?
Hey! Good to have you in the Directhub clan! Don’t worry. Since you recently graduated I feel like you’ll tackle most problems with confidence. The FE exam is designed to test fundamental problems that can be solved within 1-4 minutes max. If you can grab enough correct answers from the basics, you’ll surely pass. There will be crazy curveball conceptual questions. Those are tough. Try to eliminate answer choices for these then make an educated guess based on your gut engineering judgment. In general, please do your best to not get hung up on specific problems. Attempt each problem but if you’re not getting anywhere, flag it for review and come back to it. Also, sometimes you can manage to arrive at the right approach or equation using the FE Handbook. Make use of the FE Handbook as much as you can! Even for conceptual questions. Finish off your prep by doing plenty of hands on practice. This can be quizzes and even better timed full length exams! You’ll do great. Make sure to get lots of rest and don’t study a day before the exam. You got this!
