Carl! 😩 I've been totally fascinated and in love with this track since i first heard it. Beautiful is an understatement to describe it. Regardless of youtube performance of this song lesson, I'm so glad you chose it. Everyone, check out not only David Gilmour's new album but Carl Brown's new course on David's genius melodic soloing. Don't believe you will regret either.
This is a great solo and I think you’re the only one that has done this lesson. I’m a big fan of your lessons Carl thank you thank you thank you so much for this beautiful beautiful solo lesson.👍👍❤️❤️🙏🎸 your solo demo was absolutely amazing. Perfect.
Carl you always have the best videos for guitar you alone have gotten me from beginner to intermediate, I hope you continue helping others like how you helped me
More Gilmour, awesome Carl, thanks! What a beautiful and mellow new song, progression, and solo. I can now better visualize the framework that Gilmour is using since learning your new course. Superb analysis of Gilmour 's playing style! Everyone, join the Academy and access this course and many more like it today! 🎸🥇
Man! Another great lesson. Can't wait to get into it..Weren't you thinking about Jeff Becks lessons? Maybe A Day in Life? Haven't seen good lesson anywhere. Thank you!
YESSS!! Perfect timing as usual Carl - can't wait to dig into this as not only am going through the new Melodic Genius of Gilmour course but will be seeing the legend himself end of the month! Hope you enjoy your Gilmour show too! I will take a pic and post in the expanding Community section of the Academy... Check out GL365 everyone and up your (melodic) game! 🎸🤘
Idk if this is the place to ask but could you do a lesson on Lucretia by Megadeth? I’ve been tearing through all of your Metallica, megadeth recently and your Black Sabbath stuff I’ve been watching since I started playing guitar lol.
Beginner experience here. After the spider exercise and chords, I thought about learning this beauty as my first attempt. So... context... I have a strat (and the Frontman 15G amp or whatever that might be). So... as I already knew... it seems impossible to achieve this beautiful tone. No matter I chose neck (+tone), bridge (+tone),... treble, middle or bass... I always get the same (I'd dare to say) acoustic-like tone. I don't think it's a malfunction from my ears but... that's what I get. Sad! Aesthetics aside, I tried the first notes - 7th/9th - with the bend... and it even seems impossible to get the same expression. It seems I can't get much sustain so it is even hard! Am I reading this right? 😮 (Carl might be using overdrive, reverb/delay, compression, and maybe something extra) It's like trying to paint with a brush with almost no ink. Is this a bad analogy? Am I wrong? If I'm correct... what kind of business is this? I mean... I feel like throwing the Frontman in the garbage just for fun. It might sound great! Anyways, I know this is not a good idea. I was considering to inve$t on a multi-effects. Then it might come out something good from that "amp"... Fingers crossed! Pray for me, guys!
I am asking again. But please Sensei the following songs: 1. Crazy B&£^& from BuckCgerry 2. I Dissapear - Metallica 3. Slash - Automatic Overdrive🙏🙏🙏🙏 In Carl we trust!!!
Would you ever consider doing Far Beyond The Sun by Yngwie Malmsteen? I know that his team loves to copyright strike even covers and tutorials of his music so that might be a risk to your channel… :(
@@Fairwarning5150 Man, that’s really unfortunate. I feel like as an artist you shouldn’t discourage people from teaching and learning your material by abusing the copyright system.

After 15 years of playing the guitar, this is the first long solo that I can play thoroughly thanks to you!
Thank you!
Its amazing what Gilmour can do with the pentatonic scale. The personal touches he puts on every note is what does it.

Carl said he still can’t do Yngwie Malmsteen😔
@@Fairwarning5150 Man, that’s really unfortunate. I feel like as an artist you shouldn’t discourage people from teaching and learning your material by abusing the copyright system.
@@Imnotaloser69 yeah, but it probably isn’t Yngwie himself abusing copyright, it’s probably the record label
@@Fairwarning5150 True. But at the same time, shouldn’t Yngwie have control of how his music is used because he composed it?
@@Imnotaloser69 Sadly that just isn’t how it always works. Keep in mind, it might be Yngwie blocking it. I really just don’t know.
This is a cover song, not original by Gilmour. It's far better than the original track .
Day 8 of requesting Eddie Hazel’s cover of California Dreaming

Song fantastic, but terrible guitar Solo and terrible guitar sound, not suitable for the song, sorry David
