April 16th Changes: Barrier from SB2, cleanse from SB3, and Bulwark Gyro in general have been nerfed. There's no changes to how you play the profession at this point, but know that the tooltips in this video are not going to be the same as what you see in game after the patch on the 16th.

This is, I think, a good build for starting the profession, and getting a feel for basic mechanics. I don't think it's the most powerful version if the build. If you've watched this video, and you want to graduate to something stronger, you should check out the version that Taygeta's profiled on his channel: ua-cam.com/video/QbYETqMxAJI/v-deo.html
Let me know below this comment if that's a build that you want me to explain step by step as well, as I've done here.

Just finished rendering the next one, but I don't have time to thumbnail it, timestamp it, and do the uploading process before bed. Look for it early tomorrow. Working on getting to a point where there's one every week, but we'll see. :)

Running with HATE is always good for a couple soundbites.

Super appreciate the video. I run Scrapper all the time in WvW and feel decent about it, but being able to listen to this at work helps me self-analyze my flow, most particularly with blasts and chains.
This vid is sorta my Golem practice headspace away from my PC. So thank you.
But I agree, support scrapper is a lot of fun.
My toughest decision lately has been picking between Gyroscopic Acceration or Mass Momentum. With all the Stab nerfs in the other supports its nice to bring 2 extra from Function, but I sure miss the Superspeed when I do.

It depends on your supports. Scrapper shouldn't really need to bring it -- even with nerfs, Firebrand and Chronomancer can both handle Stability entirely by themselves as long as they're playing well. But it's useful to have as an option if you're in a party with no Stability, or, your Stability players need a bit of help.

I really appreciate how detailed and in depth your guides are, makes it very easy to learn from.
Im trying to get into a support role for wvw but this looks so tedious to play I cant see myself enjoying it. Is there a lower apm wvw support you might recommend as particularly accessible?

I think the lowest APM support that you can play in WvW right now is D/D Tempest. It's not exactly popular right now, but it's still a good support. These builds are outdated, so I delisted them, but you can find them here:

Awesome video. I have a boost from SOTO, and I might use it on Engineer knowing they can be a good healer. After coming back I want to give all of the healers a try, I can already rule out Firebrand as I've just burned myself out on Guardian. I've given Vindi a go, and they're a ton of fun, but the dodge mechanic is difficult for me, I like pumping out numbers and then leave myself vulnerable. Tempest has been a ton of fun (And I like light armor for fashion the most) and right now is in the number 1 spot.
I need to try Druid and now Scrapper. I'm pretty stoked to try Scrapper, but they'll have to last since I don't have the gear, and I spent all of my badges on gearing my druid/tempest with Minstrels. I like the idea of learning a really complicated class like this, it's part of the appeal of Tempest for me.

Tempest is also my favorite secondary support to play, for what it's worth. But I do like Scrapper quite a bit as well. Professions that have interesting decision points and high complexity are very fun, for me anyway. :)

During this video, between 5200 and 5300. Getting closer to 6k these days. You should see the pips when you're commanding and open tagged, I was getting 16, 17 pip ticks last night. :)

Hi, great video. I prefer playing with Karakosa, it's mega fun to play healing scrapper again.

I think that build is even stronger than this one -- check the pinned comment for a few other adjustments to make. It's a very challenging build to play well, though, so I wanted to start with this one and then work up to explaining how that one works.

don't play support, most thankless job in toxic WvW enviroment that GW2 is.

It's definitely more pressure to learn a support profession than a DPS profession, when you're first starting out.

You get to tag more kills than DPS classes so i think it balances out :P
