As an American, let me assure you that your nation IS your people - not the dirt, not an abstract principle that you happen to hold. Your culture came from your people, over many hundreds of years, and couldn't have come from others. To protect your culture, you must protect your unity as a common people. Recently, I visited Washington D.C. for the first time and I only felt a connection and a belonging to the architecture, as traditional European Americans were only 1/3 of the city. It felt strange to experience our capital city that way. Two unpleasant guards, recent immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa, stared me down uncomfortably as I tried to view the Constitution. Why were they staring? Did they think I was some sort of security threat? I, who was appreciating the accomplishments of my ancestors, and looking at the documents with appreciation and a sense of historical reverence. I thought, what possible connection could they have to our history? This was not what our founding fathers had in mind. Even being on the subway felt isolating. I was just a minority, like all other detached minorities, a tired mass of humanity from every corner of the Earth without a common bond, being whisked away to their own isolated neighborhoods. Sure, I met many nice people of different backgrounds, and made some pleasant connections, but it felt more like a rootless third world marketplace. I couldn't help but think that all these other nationalities had genuine nations they could return to if they wanted, where their identity, culture, and heritage are protected and celebrated as the absolute (if not total) majority. They were not the ones being dispossessed. Only I, in my own nation, couldn't return home. The situation is utterly unfair. I had a similar experience in Las Vegas, it wasn't like I remembered it decades ago. White people were maybe 1/4 of those walking around on the street, and again it felt at once familiar, but also foreign, and I was left with a sense of loss, not of spontaneous joy. Traveling to cities in my own country feels that way now. Preserving your own people in your own nation is NOT about hatred of others (which I would never recommend), but about love for yourselves. Everywhere there is diversity, there is Balkanization. Elections become about pandering to different identity groups, and voting coalitions, not about what's best for the country. Instead of disagreeing, but feeling everyone has the best interests of the nation in common together, the culture becomes bitterly divided and politics takes on a new importance as a form of identity conflict - no different than opposing nations forcefully governed together against their will. Every election is now an exhausting struggle. If you don't reverse the situation, and become a minority, you'll even lose your democracy in the end, as has happened to us in states like California. Feeling powerless, and without a political voice, many chose to emigrate rather than remain living in such a state, further exacerbating the demographic decline. I hope that you take these warnings seriously, because being a person without a nation, living as an atomized individual in a rootless, neoliberal, economic zone, bitterly divided, with no sense of common purpose other than the economy, and no hope for a future of collective meaning, is it's own form of hell. This is especially true when you remember the past, and what you once had. Speaking of the past, you'll find that your own history will become a forbidden subject, heavily policed, and subject to demonization and revisionism, because it is in conflict with the multicultural future being erected around you. Would you like to know when exactly the moment happened that crushed all my remaining faith in the "Democracy" in germany? Several years back there was an election in Thuringia (Thüringen) and the AfD secured a large ammount (23-26%) of seats. And, as is law, when it came to electing the prime minister of the country the AfD was allowed to put their votes in for the man they thought best suited. Now, their own candidate wasnt getting the majority of votes, and so they decided to put their votes into another candidate, the one from the FDP. Thomas Kämmerich. He then went on to win the election...and all hell broke loose! For he had committed the ultimate crime...the unspeakable thing, the horror of being elected with votes from the AfD!! Which of course, in a democratic society is a complete and utter no-go! How could he dare be voted in by votes of a party that all the other parties said was undemocratic and inhale fas cystic!? It was only brave and true of the other parties to refuse to shake his hand and congratulate him on his victory, the bravest of all, the left, even threw flowers at his feet! How truly stunning and brave indeed! Of course the brave troops of the Antifa were mobilised immediately too, and they went to smash the house of he who had comitted crimes against democracy, and threatened the family of the evildoer! More so, even our own chancelor, the great and wise Mother Merkel, who was in South Africa on a diplomatic mission to bring wisdom and enlightenment to the poor south africans, said as chancelor that such an event was not to be, that it had to be "reversed", to secure the democratic integrity in germany! Of course, eventually the man broke under the constant harrassment and threats to his loved ones and rescinded his post. Afterwards there was another election, and the AfD, out of protest refused to vote. Which eventually lead to the old Prime Minister, Bodo Ramelow, whos party had lost the vote, being reinstated in his old post, and thus democracy was restored in Germany. And so the illusion of a free and democratic system was forever shattered for me and many others.

Agreed. However, it's not just a German thing, these things happen all over Europe now. Remember the Slovak prime minister Robert Fico, who got shot a few weeks ago? He happened to be Euro and WHO critical, so by sheer coincidence he ran into some bullets randomly flying around and almost died. I'm convinced that Victor Orban and a few others ramped up their security detail after this! So it seems those western elites now even kill to stop their opponents!
BTW as a Germany myself, I can testify that many Germans have indeed learned their lesson, and the numbers are growing. However, we are also realising that we the people do not run this country anymore, we never have. Elections only make sense if the politicians respect the peoples vote. But they don't anymore, if they ever have. They are just not hiding it anymore!

I lived in Germany nearly 60 years ago, it was a decent country then, full of hard working people who knew how to enjoy themselves, very different from the UK at the time which was under Labour with Harold Wilson. If anyone had said the country would share the same fate as the UK we would all of burst out laughing - how strange history turns out...

Would you like to know when exactly the moment happened that crushed all my remaining faith in the "Democracy" in germany?
Several years back there was an election in Thuringia (Thüringen) and the AfD secured a large ammount (23-26%) of seats.
And, as is law, when it came to electing the prime minister of the country the AfD was allowed to put their votes in for the man they thought best suited.
Now, their own candidate wasnt getting the majority of votes, and so they decided to put their votes into another candidate, the one from the FDP. Thomas Kämmerich.
He then went on to win the election...and all hell broke loose!
For he had committed the ultimate crime...the unspeakable thing, the horror of being elected with votes from the AfD!!
Which of course, in a democratic society is a complete and utter no-go! How could he dare be voted in by votes of a party that all the other parties said was undemocratic and inhale fas cystic!?
It was only brave and true of the other parties to refuse to shake his hand and congratulate him on his victory, the bravest of all, the left, even threw flowers at his feet! How truly stunning and brave indeed!
Of course the brave troops of the Antifa were mobilised immediately too, and they went to smash the house of he who had comitted crimes against democracy, and threatened the family of the evildoer!
More so, even our own chancelor, the great and wise Mother Merkel, who was in South Africa on a diplomatic mission to bring wisdom and enlightenment to the poor south africans, said as chancelor that such an event was not to be, that it had to be "reversed", to secure the democratic integrity in germany!
Of course, eventually the man broke under the constant harrassment and threats to his loved ones and rescinded his post. Afterwards there was another election, and the AfD, out of protest refused to vote. Which eventually lead to the old Prime Minister, Bodo Ramelow, whos party had lost the vote, being reinstated in his old post, and thus democracy was restored in Germany.
And so the illusion of a free and democratic system was forever shattered for me and many others.
