@@kakusei3672 well. As an update on this comment. Unfortunately, YT contacted me later that week to inform me that my order was pushed for April(order set on February 7). I had to cancel my order. I was lucky enough to find on that same weekend a Santa Cruz Tallboy, you can check it out on my channel.
@@BroChaos lol awesome (not jealous at all ja!)!! I will get a YT eventually I’m the next couple of years, probably will go for the jeffsy since the Tallboy and the izzo are very similar.
I absolutely love it! It's both more confidence inspiring and more lively than my XC bike. It feel like an improvement in almost everything without giving up anything in compromise. Unfortunately I hurt my foot in crash and will be off for a bit but looking forward to getting back on! You're gonna love it!
Thanx! Really looking forward to some added fun factor. Curious whether it will be more efficient than my dropper equipped hardtail on our windy rooty trails with short ups and downs we ride in the Netherlands.
@@kendingsor get well soon. Happy you like it. I currently ride a Scott Spark 710 and I'm looking to get the Izzo. Could not decide if to spend more to get the core 3 but now I feel like the 2 will be enough
You’re gonna love it, I saw one on the trail yesterday while I was on my Orbea wild, the IZZO IS OMG the lightest bike I’ve ever seen!! It literally weighs nothing, amazing bike imo !!
Thank you for this video. Random question since you went with the XXL size. What is your height? I am 6'4 1/2 and trying to decide between the XXL and XL frame sizes.
Great vid! So how tall are you for a XXL frame? I’m thinking on a izzo core 3 but I’m not sure about size. I am 6’0-6’1 currently ride a Cannondale trail 5 size L and it’s good but sometimes I feel I run short.
I am 6'8" and it fits great, sounds like a large or XL may be better for you though. Bike sizing can vary alot from brand to brand. Check out 99spokes to compare model and size geometry. Really handy site!
@@kendingsor dude seriously ?!?! I am 6'8 and had a Raken 1.3 Fuji xl. Was small, I am eyeing one but very skeptical about it not fitting right... Please give feedback
@@Willmeachum Hey sorry I didn't see this sooner! It fits me great! Many tall guys have different proportions (all leg or all torso). I am pretty well proportioned with a 37" inseam. I put some atlas 820 bars on but may actually cut them down to 800. Once this dropper goes I'll probably put a 200mm dropper on.
How do you like the Izzo? I am looking at purchasing a core 2. I ride michigan Northern lower peninsula and some UP, it will be overkill im sure but I would like a nice, comfortable ride instead of a hardtail.
I'm loving it! Fast, fun, efficient bike. My only criticism would be I don't like the seat but I had another saddle so wasn't a big deal. I also changed the forekasters for a 2.5 Minion DHF up front and a 2.4 rekon in the back.
The frame is an xxl and with a 2.5 minion dhf up front and 2.4 rekon in the rear, atlas 820 bars, some stamp 1 pedals, a fender and ride wrap, and a water bottle cage/empty water bottle it come in just under 34lbs.
@@sinetwo I honestly don't have much experience on many different bikes but I will say that I can easily get either or both wheels off the ground. I though it would be more of a compromise coming from a full cross country bike but it does everything that bike did plus is more stable and confidence inspiring in steeper terrain.
So I've only been MTN biking for a couple years and I'm coming from an XXL specialized camber cross country bike. That said, I love it! It's more lively while also being more stable and confidence inspiring. Relative to that bike it seems better across the board with almost no compromises. It's fast and climbs really well. I did put my atlas 820mm bars on, idk why they kept the bar size the same across the larger sizes.
So today I finally decided for the core 2 on th black color. So excited. Have to wait for the week of February 7 for possible shipping.
Is it glossy or matte finish?

Just ordered a core2 earliest shipping 3/21/22. Haven't had a full suspension in 20years, went SS since then but haven't ridden in over a decade.
Best day of the year!
Oh.. So they actually have bikes in stock now
Not really
Nice. Waiting for mine to arrive hopefully in december and stumbled opon your vid. Have fun trying it out!

Hey what hub does the core 2 have and how is the engagement and sound?
Would like to know too. Especially interested to know if the rear hub has the star ratchet engagement.

is the bike frame composed of both alloy and carbon? like some parts are cobon while others are alloy
Yes the core 2 is a carbon frame and aluminum rear triangle

Is this the YT CAPRA 29 Core 2 Alloy MTB if so should I buy and can u swap the brakes around so that the left is back and right is front
This is the izzo not the Capra. There should be enough slack in the lines to swap the brakes.
Grease is included from the package?
A small tube I think but I used grease I had
