I like that you finally showed the reality of ridding a motorcycle long distance. I don't know why it took you so long but thank you.
As a local, that is an amazing rode.. both directions are a blast.
This was an awesome 18-minute vacation! Thanks for having us along. Much appreciation for your effort and time. Can you tell that I really enjoyed it?
Thank you so glad you enjoyed this one!
Keep on rocking in the free world.
Fantastic as always, TC!! The best 18minutes of my entire week.
"Little squiggly lines on the map" are the absolute essence of this kind of riding.
Let us not forget the true glamour and adventure of solo moto-travels and camping... Crushing a Sonic corndog sitting on the sidewalk outside the ladies can.
Ahh, the memories 😆😆😆😆
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fun video. Back when I moved to AZ the Devils Hwy was State route 666. Hence the name. Rumor has it, people kept stealing the signs so they renamed it State Route 191.
Thanks! And that makes sense, I thought it might have been 666 as an off shoot of Route 66.
@@FTAAdventures that’s probably correct and how they picked 666 to start with
Love seeing all those campsites! No crowds is bliss. Ride On Tim!
Thank you!
Thanks Tim! So glad to see you out and making great travel videos again! I rode this stretch of AZ highway in October and it was awesome. Your videos started my interest in ADV riding back in 2019 and I am so thankful to have found your channel and for your devotion to this type of motorcycling. I am much obliged for you having turning me on to adventure riding. Good health and stay safe my UA-cam friend!
So glad to hear that! Ride safe my friend!
Thanks Tim! I’m heading to Arizona in a couple of weeks and will be sure to check out some of those roads. I’ll be on a Goldwing so all those paved roads are welcome. You’re the best.
This time of the year, that road will be heaven!!
Have a great trip!
Looks awesome man, thanks for taking us along!
You bet!
Great video, I really enjoyed coming along. I was in Scotland all last week, it was around 80 degrees every day. One of the areas I rode through for the day is known for it's skiing in winter.... 85 degrees! Good to know that even the grand master leaves things at home. I recently spent a few days in the Lake District. On the first night I realised I had left the wind shield that I use with my stove at home and of course it was breezy. I had to improvise using my panniers.
Thank you! Hope you had a great trip to Scotland!
@@FTAAdventures I did thank you, it was amazing.
Did the Devil's Hwy a while back, great little piece of Arizona B-)
great video, beautiful scenery! Having never been to Arizona, i assumed it was a dessert... but theret is a lot of greenery and pine forest in that area. Very nice
Rode the Devil's Hgwy in midMay in pouring rain. It looks different covered in wet leaves looking through spotted glasses.
Beautiful area. We drove from Minnesota in April and traveled into southern New Mexico and angled out through Alpine. It was gorgeous! But a little chilly for tent camping but we survived. 😂 We really enjoy your videos and won’t get behind again. It was good to see you out riding. Stay safe!
Thanks! Ride safe
great adventure man
Another Great Video dude.. definitely going to check out route 60
Great scenery, Tim! Thanks for sharing your adventure. Also, much respect.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cool video, Tim…awesome vistas! 👍🏍️🇿🇦
Thanks 👍
Beautiful ride, definitely adding that one to my list!
It really is!
Great vid, music and scenery were really good. Thanx dude.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice ride!
You should do 4K, man. Kind of the standard now, especially for outdoor videos.
Timmy dude! I'm from Mass too. I'm in Saddlebrooke / Catalina. I'd love to do a weekend sometime with you. I'm totally a never before camper guy. You're so hard core sir! I wish I could do what you do. I have a few friends back in New England, NH and VT that camp like you. I live vicariously watching your videos LOL
Sounds good! And thank you!
Corndog! The corner stone of any nutritious meal.
I’m just part way through this and it looks like a really cool ride in a remote area. I’ll enjoy watching the rest of your ride and this goes on my list too! It’s just what I like. Thanks for putting together a high quality video.
Glad to hear it and thank you!
Nothing like some scenic twisties to make lifes troubles lessen. Nice choice of music. I'm getting some serious bike camping need watching your vids! cheers.
Thank you!
You're making me miss Arizona. Currently leaving Dalhart TX, Cimarron, Eagles Nest, Santa Fe want to see Loretto Chapel Miraculous Staircase, then Madrid NM where they filmed Wild Hogs then finally to Roswell to meet my daughter at the Alien Festival. Maybe they'll take me home 🤭👽🛸
Enjoyed the video Tim great scenery but the high Temps has got to be miserable. RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!
Thanks, you too!
Injoyed the video. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Great episode!
Thank you!
Nice one Tim
Thanks 👍
Watching you enjoy your snack @8:02 reminds me of that sad Keanu meme.
Epic ride! That Tiger 850 is looking sweet! Can't wait for your Long term review video of the 850 sport.
Thanks!
Nice territory to ride and camp in 👍
Thanks for taking us along brother, I haven't been out that way yet, want to check out Sitgreaves NF as well, it's definitely hotter here in the Valley 😆 Hopefully I'll see you sometime on the road
Thanks for watching!
Caynan carving on tar snakes, Glad you found a camp site. Nice camp Tim. I have the same sleep pad too.
Very cool
Did salt river canyon 2016/17/18 on a Indian road master loved it views to blow your mind was made even better riding with other wounded warriors british army like myself and U.S troops also wounded warriors we had overnight stay at ovverguard American legion Post love that place so much post 89 if I remember correctly
A small suggestion for a loop road on this route. About half way EB toward Springerville (on the 260), take a SB turn on the 273 rd. and a left (N/NE turn) on the 261 road. Thirty five miles of tall pines, small lakes and a great overlook at Point of the Mountain. Great loop and the overlook has a large parking area, picnic tables and a restroom! This is one mile past Mexican Hay Lake and seldom is anyone around.
Next you reenter the 260 and closely followed is Eagar, AZ. The 191 (formerly 666 highway) is in front of you!
I enjoy your videos and my rides through Arizona (AZ resident) and many other states. Good Rides
Great video! I haven’t had a corn dog in forever!
I like them once in a while
Tim awesome video. I live in Phoenix and always looking for cool places to ride. I love your videos
Glad you like them!
Thanks Tim! Nice tour. I'll have to put this route on my list. Nice country and I'm sure it's better in person. Looking forward to your good news for sure!! What tires are you using?
Not sure about the tires, I think Michelin Anakee. I like the Anakee adventures, not sure if that’s what’s on there but when it’s time to replace that’s what will be going on.
I have been all over the US on my GS and that road is easily in my top 3! We used Hannigan Meadows (can be busy though) as basecamp for weekends, or for overnights there are many "off the grid" spots farther down south. I really enjoyed the video as I haven't been there in a few years. Safe travels and thanks for putting a huge smile on my face!
Thanks glad you enjoyed this one!
I love that Salt River Canyon ride. Used to tear it up on my… CX500 Custom. 😂 Man, you got me missing Arizona! We’ve got the Twisted Sisters here in TX, which is arguably better, but only because it’s longer.
Me too! Texas hill country has some great riding
Thx for sharing Tim! I have lots of great memories/rides on 191 and SRC. Has hoping you'd show Alpine where I used to stay at the Sportsman's Lodge:) Hoping to get down there again in the near future.
That is a pretty area!
thanks for continuing to make fun , quality videos to watch. I like the combination of narration and music. Quick question about using music in youtube videos. Do you need to buy certain licenses to use the music?
Thanks! I use epidemicsound and paying monthly covers the copy-write.
Lot's of tar snakes wow great biking route thou !
Yes it was!
I like the blue T-shirt 👕 Tim.
Thanks!
Does that MSR jacket have superfabric on the elbows and shoulders like the Mosko Moto Basilisk gear? I couldn't tell from the video. That stuff is indestructible.
Yes it does have that
nice
Thanks
Hard to beat a Sonic corn dog
Hey Tim, have you ever floated the salt river? Its the bomb in the summer heat. I've been up there in Apache National.camping close to Roosevelt Lake. Very pretty up that way. Enjoy your videos. Been watching for the last couple years, if you ever go south I've got some places down here to visit and camp. Marana AZ
I have not done that yet. It seems like it would be a ton of fun though! I appreciate that, and I'd love to meet up one day, I get down your way once in a while.
Yes it is, just give me a holler and we will meet up. I know my way around southern AZ
I lived in Tempe for a few years, did a lot of hiking/camping between Tucson - Flagstaff and this brings back some great memories. Especially for the Superstitions. What's your average daily mileage for when you travel back roads? Thanks!
Very cool! I typically do 200-300 miles a day when I’m not in a rush.
whats the exo-skeleton on that gopro called bro ive never seen that before? scenic stuff looks great VBro
It’s the mount that has a spot for the audio adapter
Hey Tim, I noticed that you have a different camp chair..one with a higher back. What brand is it??
Mulebex
Ok 👍👌
Your YTs are informative. I’m a newbie. Starting a 4,000 mile trek on my wing with my dog in the sidecar. She travels well. The sidecar is Christened the “Bucket Listin’ “. I’m 72 and ready to ride. Planned motel or air b&b but Bidenomics will have me camping in free spots!Tried to find a hunny but those my age are all worn out and the young ones are tied down to kids, jobs, or husbands, so it looks like it will just be my dog and I. Thanks again for your informative videos. Question: how do you manage personal hygiene so as not to offend the senses of waitstaff at restaurants?
Thank you! Have a great trip, I always thought it would be great to travel with a dog. For hygiene I try to bath in a river or lake every couple of days and at least one hotel a week to shower and reset everything. Have fun!
Hi, I really liked your videos, really cool scenery. I don't want to come across anyway critical and that there is anything wrong with videos because there is not, just, all that scenery would really pop with 4K playback.
Thanks for the feedback I’ll have to consider that. Glad to hear you’re enjoying my videos
This looks like it was a really nice ride. Are you planning any much longer/multi state trips?
Ride safe and have fun. 🇺🇸
I have a few things planned for this summer, up in the mountains somewhere
@@FTAAdventures Good to hear. I look forward to your videos. Thanks. Ride safe and have fun. 🇺🇸
Awesome video if ya mute the volume 😮
Nice mic
Hello Tim. Love your videos and commentary. I noticed the sign warning of bears. We don’t have bears or any serious predators in Australia. How do you sleep in a tent knowing that bears could be nearby. I’ve heard so much about bears tearing people apart.
They don’t usually bother with campers unless they leave food out. Mostly they don’t want anything to do with humans. I store my food stuff in my bike and park it away from my tent in case it does attract bears. Or hang a bear bag depending on where I am.
Thanks Tim
Triple digits in my area, -no tent camping for me for now. Riding in 103+ with high humidity no fun either
Sorry to hear that
I noticed that many parts of the ride have vegetation close to the road. Is there much worry about wildlife running out in front of you? Up here in my home province of Newfoundland, the risk of hitting a moose has initiated our Gov’t to clear the trees and shrubs back a lot for safety and better visibility. Stay safe and thanks for sharing
I was gonna say, that's a constant risk in New England. I've hit deer multiple times (in cars, thankfully). Same vegetation situation everywhere around here.
It is definitely a concern, we have elk and deer in the area I was in
I just noticed your speedometer reads 065 for 65 miles/hr. Why does triumph show the zero Tim?
I’m not sure why they include the zero
Nice video Tim, but the music not so much
Noted!
Hi Tim do you have a list of what you’re carrying?
Not an updated one, I will put together a list soon.
Awesome love the new tent and other items on the video. Thank you!! Ride Safe!!
Highway 191 is motorcycle Nirvana ..
I agree!
I haven't tuned in for awhile. What are you riding now? Not the Boxer anymore?
Triumph tiger 850 sport. The BMW had some major mechanical issues after 150,000 miles.
@@FTAAdventures Thanks I thought so. Did you look at a Tiger 900 at all? I'm looking now as replacement for VStrom 1000xt. Would like a quick shifter and Electronics upgrades.
Hi Tim, How are you liking the Triumph ?
I love it
@@FTAAdventures 👍👍
What bike is he riding ?
Triumph tiger 850 sport
Go Blow 10
Watching you break camp and pack……..scintillating footage. Hope you recognize sarcasm.
ever used bunks for bikers?
Haven’t tried that yet
U r sound not good 😐change ur mic! use a rode lavalier go
" Go Pro.s " are too barn big, it's all we ever see now, and it's getting boring; garbage pros
OMG, Tim a corn dog without mustard, sacrilege! Lol.
Been up and through there when I lived in Phoenix many times.
A super ride 😊
They forgot the mustard, you can actually see me looking for it in the video. Didn’t bother to ask for some but it definitely wasn’t as good without it.
