I'm 71 also, and while some of the young performers are quite good , I still prefer the original artists much more. . Do you like the real Elvis or an Elvis impersonator? My advice to the young artists is stop covering and write your own music. Maybe someday people will imitate you.

I remember seeing Elvis on the the Ed Sullivan show, on our black and white TV, when I was in second grade. They blacked out the bottom half of the screen during his performance because of his hip gyrations. Times have changed.

Wow! Am sat teary-eyed (at 64 years old) after listening to this. Memories of my late father coming into my bedroom when I was listening to this album (LZ4) for the first time (about 1975). Didn’t hear his knock, as I always listened to an album with headphones the first time. The look on his face at my ‘rapture’ was ‘classic’. Just shrugged my shoulders and he shook his head and left. Amazing version and ‘respect’ to your musicians! ❤

You know why because it's the best song ever written.
And they'll never be another one like it, it's one of a kind.
That is simply not true. Summertime by George Gershwin and DuBose Heyward or Yesterday by the Beatles, depending on which source, has the distinction of being the most covered song. I didn't even see Stairway To Heaven listed; not even on a top 50 list.

I dunno, there is such thing as too polished. The vocals of the song really don't lend themselves to a clean female voice. I would wager if there was no visual of the woman, there would not be as many compliments. The guitar was excellent, both technique and sound.

When I listen to these songs I feel like I'm 5,10yr old again this was my childhood my dad paved the path of what lead me to love Rock,Metal ,Jazz ,Blues. Awesome job... I still remember my older sister listening to this song over and over on a crappy old cassette player when we were vacationing on the shore of Lake Superior as kids. It is sort of a haunting memory, as it was pretty remote and peaceful place at the time. I was born in 1964, but it feels like my brain was born about 1971.

As a person of age that is I was around when this first came out and listened to it thousands of times, the guitar playing was absolutely spot on and so was the drumming, I was listening for faults like so many have done in the past, couldn’t find any. I’m rattling my brains trying to think of another female singing this song and I can’t, but it was so nice, you done it justice young lady, well done all of you.

It's like a time machine if only for a fleeting moment, I was 16 and loved this song the moment I heard it and always will. It's like the first time my dad listened to knocking on heavens by guns and roses the remake of Clapton's song and started crying it just sticks with you. I thought I would never see him cry over a song on the radio.

Stairway is both a blessed and cursed song. Zeppelin was such lightning in a bottle, such a rare nexus in time and space, that they made this astounding song and gave it to the world. For nearly half a century, it has been the basis of so many beginners' attempts to play guitar, or to sing. To do this song justice from beginning to end is a feat few have accomplished, outside of Plant, Page, Jones and Bonham (and Bonham). I would say you just joined those who have. I loved your vocal cover, and your guitarist is most impressive. Bravo and much respect!
I want to add Heart for their rendition of this same very hallowed legendary classic. Of course I am talking about the the amazing cover that they did at Led Zeppelin’s induction to the Rock and Roll HOF.
And before I forget, I also really appreciated this cover by Violet and her two friends. You did this very, very well.

Good job. Led Zeppelin is one of several class rock bands I grew up to when I was a kid in the 80's. Listened to Zeppelin almost non-stop (and Rush) throughout my teen years...you honor the song Violet. Well done.

so i just listened to the above video for a second time to see if what you said is true. for the introductory, instrumental part of the video, you are right. there is definitely the sound of a flute to accompany the electric guitar and drums. however, once she starts singing, the flute goes away, and all i hear are the electric guitar and drums

Very well done. This song is meant to show a slow but inevitable building in dynamics from start to finish. That is the magic of this legendary piece. The backup players are outstanding, a thumbs up to the guitar player. He would make Jimmy Page proud. The drummer is excellent, especially for this piece. If I may be bold enough to express just one negative, the middle portion of the music needs to dynamically build in volume a little more than expressed. With that said, this version of that legendary song is extremely well done. Thank you.

When I hear someone redo classic music there are 3 things I listen for. first is the instrumental. that one you Nailed so well. second sorta ties parts 2 and 3 together. the vocals which you did a great job on, and third the spirit of the music. thats where you can close your eyes and feel that song regardless of who is singing it. you pulled all 3 off so well. Congrats. thats one to be super proud of.
