I've held off from commenting, just happily watching and taking it all in.
Thank you, Neil, Flip and Josh, for pulling this all together and letting us live this through your lens and eyes.
I echo your sentiment of just getting out there and doing it.
My wife and I bit the bullet in 2023, leaving our 5 month old son at home and I loved every minute. We managed to carve out little slices of Japan's culture, both car and otherwise, and would recommend anyone to do the same.
Sunday Morning/Afternoons in Daikoku, Renting any car (Nissan Dayz) and driving the Hakone Turnpike and seeing 86s and Touge monsters in the wild, visiting UpGarage and Super Autobacs.
Seeing all of your mind melted expressions brought back a lot of happy memories and glad it wasn't just me!
Everyone - Get out there and JUST DO IT.

This was so much fun. I’ve got to go back and rewatch Japan in a Van just to catch all the references again then watch the whole series again. Not a lot of content you can do that with. A couple of gems of videos. Thanks for taking us along and all the work you’ve put into it. It really shows.
    ✌️

I had the exact same smile on my face watching you drift as when you got to drive the green 86 in Japan In a Van Ep.2. I was whooping and hollering the whole time 😂. I now realise that watching Japan in a Van in 2021 set the spark for me to properly commit and go Japan myself. I'm now (after lots of saving) going there for 5 weeks next year and renting a motorhome for the duration and travelling around, hugely inspired by Japan in a Van!.
Sometimes, I've felt reluctant with spending so much money on just a trip, but your reflection of your experience at the end of this video just solidified my reasons for going and gave me goose bumps. Thanks so much for all the love you pour into your videos!

I think i know exactly what you are talking about. I have always been into Japanese car culture, growing up playing Gran Turismo and seeing Japanese car media in the internet.
I visited Japan for the first time in 2014 and it took my heart. Three weeks of seeing places From Nagoya to Tokyo to Ebisu and so on. Many long years after that, back in 2018 we started to plan the trip to visit there with my friends, but then Covid19 happened, the whole world shut down and we had to wait. Then came the 2023, many bad things happened at the beginning of the year and I decided that this is my year, alone or with friends, I will go.
And just like that I booked flights and went there by myself. It was the best time of my life, two weeks discovering places, seeing cars, culture and meeting new people who are now asking when is the next time I am going to visit there.
Well, that next time is now this fall, going there again in september, this time with my friends who we have planned the trip originally since 2018! I can't wait.
Thank you so much for this series, brilliant work and keep it coming!
It is literally just the thing you told at the end of this video. People, you need to go and experience this by yourself. Even I did it alone, so everyone can do it!

thanks for letting us tag along on your adventure mate. it wasnt as epic and packed as japan in a van was, and i think that that can just never be recreated, but this was still great to watch. so cool you got to link up with the honda gang, and the juice(pro)box will stick out as my favorite thing of the whole series. excited for you to bring us "Regular" content again.

I've said it time and time again, you deserve to get the recognition from all the amazing work you put into these videos and how passionate you are about the culture! I've seen so many people go to Japan and it's all arrive see shops and go to tracks and leave but you know so many of the small og shops that nobody knows and can tell the owners more about the place than they know themselves. This series are amazing and I always look forward to another Monday

Thank you so much to all the Juicebox lads for another incredible documentary! The production quality is so high and gives a really authentic, honest portrayal of Japanese car culture told through the experiences of a group of friends! Your passion and respect for Japanese car culture is clear for all to see, as is your awareness of how this culture is changing and the impact that has on car enthusiasts both in Japan and overseas. Since I'm unlikely to get over there myself any time soon, these documentaries really have been the next best thing and I've loved being along for the ride. Bring on the next mad adventure!

As always Neil you make incredible videos for our viewing satisfaction, the story you tell is always done with such emotion & etiquette that relates to us all, from fucking around in the shed, building the car, japan trips, you involve everyone and tell their side of the story, such a good film maker and so perfectly executed always.
Coming from a honda culture in my younger days to then sbodys and now being a family guy, it’s good to see that you still hang with your friends and that the cars your in involved with keep you all together, many of my old car friends have sailed ship ( me too) and gone their separate ways but to be able to watch you guys kind of brings back the memories and good times we all used to spend together, i miss it, miss it with a heavy heart.
Hope that everything you give to us is received back to you 10 fold, i always can’t wait for the next video, i’m glad you have set out and achieved your bucket list wish!

*slow_clap*, especially after that final music segment which summarized your whole trip. Like it was last episode of some big studio series.
In this episode I think there was more close shots then previously and they were definitely high class. Generally, another great episode.
In summary whole series - definitely it will be a memory related to summer, most likely get back to me in similar time in future. This series was imo also better then "Japan in a Van" (without a plan), as it indeed was planned. Less chaotic, better story driven (not like previously it was bad) and all editing was just right. Definitely will go back and watch series some time in future.
Finally, I'm aware that previous series was shot in HD and it lost some quality in final edit, but as this time everything was shot on better equipment, there is just less excuses to make limited Bluray ;)

That gze can be a decent weapon... chuck some poncams in, a bigger crank pully and you're away.
Awesome to see you have a skid in it and progress pretty fast, hard with ciabata on the rear. It was setup for the perfect experience though - ae86 = difficulty set to hard. OG 86 drifters don't have or use the handbrake so that was cool!

I have been back something like 5 times now,
We are going back in January with a few friends this time to show them Tokyo auto salon and the rest of Japan.
I do fear for Japan though and the influx of some of the tourists that abuse there good nature.
I am glad to see legendary shops like Jackpot and CSL staying off the radar and still functioning as if it is still 1998
