27:28 "When seconds matter, the police is always minutes away." I grew up in Texas (and still live here). As high school seniors, a friend and I were listening to the police frequency on a scanner one night. A call came in stating shots fired and a unit was dispatched. The officer responding on the radio said, "Please advise when you think the last shot is fired." Police are in no hurry to "protect & serve."
As a business owner. I thought this video was exceptional. Financially I have no means to where Greg is at, but his mind set of retirement is my same motivation. This was a great video and I am thankful you shared it. The lighting rod analogy was my biggest take away. How to channel all that energy into something else when I retire. Wow that was awesome. Something I’ll start planning out when I exit my business one day.
Mike .. Hello from CYQT 🇨🇦. THANK YOU for posting this. Just what I needed. The topic is so timely, as I just sold my company 14 months ago. I can relate to so many of his statements …. “re-channeling one’s energy” into a NEW CHALLENGE. When the snow is gone in the spring I plan on picking up my PPL flight training where I left off 30 months ago. Have 54 hours and I was one flight from my check ride then “life” got really BUSY. Really enjoyed this video. I won’t be flying anything as exotic as his TBM. My plane is a Beautiful Avid Magnum. Maybe one year I’ll upgrade … I’ve always really loved the Cessna Sky Master 337. Thank you for always sharing your passion for General Aviation. Best regards from CYQT. 👍🇨🇦👍
i will say we are gods, we push limits, and we honor and respect the pushing the limit aspect with respects to life nature freedom and love,...still....awesome interview...and Im glad to have seen this.
Interesting video. I can relate. Just before COVID I was winding down my business activities and when COVID happened I became restless and maybe a little depressed, so I bought an airplane. It was the tonic I needed.
hey i did contact your flightschool via the contact form on your webpage; wanted to finish my FAA IR with you guys, but never got a reply. And it has been approx. one months. So signed up with another flight school.
I'm so sorry that happened and I take full accountability for it. Between moving to a new state and being short staffed a lot has fallen through the cracks. But we are putting the right systems back in place. If you're ever in town or like to come by. Please reach out. And you can email me directly mike@lookupflightacademy.com thanks.
@aircobraman1375 yeah my grandma had one with cable and turning disc to dial the numbers😂 We use smartphones nowadays and call on Whatsapp, Telegram and Signal; free calls worldwide if you have internet connection. But i noticed most US companies don't offer these options. Regular calls cost a small fortune.

is there any way this guy can get a team of like minded individuals to create new jobs for low time pilots. i think the challenge is right up his alley
Inspiring story. I'm 61 yrs old and want to reinvent myself.
Thank You. 😊
Like your work man keeping doing what you do. Your channel is one of the reasons I get into flying

this is the best video ever you should do more of these with more pilots that are on youtube or in the community

WOW! What a cerebral podcast, I'm just getting started thinking about all those thought-provoking questions. Great job.
the video quality is immaculate
Greg looks like the type of guy to listen to "Last Train Home" when flying back home
Been a subscriber for years Mike and I can see why you felt it necessary to share his story. This is definitely one of your best videos.
This is awesome
I like this type of video. Nice job.
Ah yes, He is an interesting man. By the way, police can't protect you as they are reactionary only and by that time it's too late.
Good vid,
Lee

Great angle on the life of a successful pilot.

Mike, nice video, but the AI closed caption was very distracting. Skip it and just have those who are not proficient in English turn it on via UA-cam.

The same thing happened to me now. I have a plane 😅

Matt Guthmiller lives there too.
Seems like a great guy! Suppressed video? Watch those Ai subtitles.
I want to have breakfast at Yankee Doodle.
Alpha Pop is a hottie!!
He wasn't depressed he was "sad"
You think Wyoming is on the west coast? Time for you to study US geography Mike. Also, Omaha is in Nebraska not Indiana.
Most Americans don’t know where either place is. I grew up in Nebraska
👍
The fact that one doesn't need a type rating for the TBM is a HUGE turn on for me. I love that.
You’ll never take the “hustle” out of a guy like that…I love it
