Alpha Centauri is a much more complicated system than it seems at first glance. consisting of three stars - Alpha Centauri A (Rigil Kentaurus), Alpha Centauri B (Toliman) and the much further and smaller star Proxima Centauri. Alpha Centauri A and B are two Sol like suns (class G and K) whereas Proxima is a much cooler and dimmer M class. Jemison orbits the largest star Rigil Kentaurus, threading a narrow, stable(?) path between it and Toliman, a star that moves in an eccentric orbit that puts it at a distance of 35 AU's to only 12 AU's from Rigil Kentaurus (an AU being approx 150 million km). the biggest question therefore is why Toliman does not appear on the UC system map. i mean, it should be there! it's roughly where Saturn would be in the Solar System! maybe it just vanished one day, like Earth's atmosphere. yeah right. i'm not buyi......

Sometimes horrible things have to be done by good people to prevent more horrible things from happening. Even when they are done with the best intentions there need to be consequences... something that makes people stop and weigh the options. A good man will accept those consequences as part of the sacrifice they have asked of others.

You have a better view in third person with this ship, thats true. I do understand that you feel like 3rd person is better, Gopher. Though I used the Deimos cockpit and placed it at the front. More windows and fewer ship parts that block my view in first person.
I don't think Sanon is evil in the usually accepted use of the term, hardnosed, sure, brutal even but he's not the type to cackle over his actions. But I can see why the UC would choose to scapegoat him _and_ why they kept him alive.
I'd hold on that call if I were you :)

well, from what i know, mass effects QEC would not work other then in fiction. So entirely up to the writers whether they want to include more fantasy.
@@Xadhoom80quantum entanglement isn't fantasy. it's a real phenomena and although the tech we have would allow data fairly slowly, it's still instant communication and there are ideas about using that for short messages for the eventual missions to mars.
Now not taking that in consideration + years of development really seems like a bit of a plot hole to me. (it's not a big deal but kinda odd from a world building standpoint IMO)
@@PeoplecallmeLucifer I been told they won't stay entangled, once used they ain't entangled any longer, so its a one off trigger. you would need an array of QE particles and AFAIK we have no way to trigger the outcome we want.

@@PeoplecallmeLucifer Basically, once you measure one of the particles you know what spin the other one doesn't have, so it's super useful for expensive encryption, but kind of useless for long distance communication, even though the effect is FTL.
Turn 2 or 3 to the rear. Then you don't have to worry when you try to do boarding
Thing about turrets is you have to set them at different angles to get 360 coverage. I never did get used to them and went back to direct-fire everything on the second playthrough. Missiles baby. Blow a ship out of space with one or two salvos.
If the dialog in this game were realistic I would go about town telling folks the results of my last colonoscopy.
I love you #Bethesda, but seriously; do some public eves-dropping and learn how folks talk to each other and to strangers.
I'd say with BGS future games would be nice to have some public testing, instead of waiting 7 years of them working in their own bubble before dropping the game without public info. That would make people not fuzz around so much about their games being incomplete, or them having to leave them to their community via mods to be as good as they intended.
@@JuanPerez-qs8oo Expensive as it probably is, extensive play testing from out side the bubble is a really good idea.
Honestly, it feels like BGS has been 6 or 7 people working on the same company for the same 20 or 25 years. It would be nice for them to have some fresh changes, with that play testing or adding female people to their writing staff... I don't know, it feels that their games could improve so much with just some touches here and there. Bubbles are not always good imo! Thanks for writing. @@johnhansen4794
