*Note* I am not actually playing the song in this video! Instead, I am simply mimicking along to an mp3 due to the fact that this is meant to be an instructional video rather than a cover.

Thanks that's a really good tutorial. I've been trying to work out the lead parts for ages!
Wayne Temblett Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
thanks for doing this, i hate everybody that tries to explain without showing a real time tab! such a waste
13 maluma´s fans..... great job, greetings from Peru
Thanks for the lesson. I really love that you show the tab.
Grazie.
best tutorial for this song ever, thanks man
YOU CAN PLAY IT SOO GOOD OMMGG!! And then there is me.. it’s too fast and my fingers aren’t long like yours :(( I’ll keep practicing xD
Thank you so much buddy for the tabs, good job you got a nice cover

This is great, thank you! People neglect the solo lines from this song and I am grateful that your video scrolls the tab at the bottom. Question: do we know what that bit is from 2:22 - 2:24? Someone suggested that it's harmonics picked 12 frets above notes but I haven't been able to figure it out.
Sir! I need your help, I seriously struggle with guitar, can you explain to me the chords that you are using, And explain to me the these numbers? I would be MASSIVELY thankful, I am very confused
the numbers show where to fret your strings. Search for how to read tablature. Hopefully, that fixes your problem
i have a request if possible!!!
i love this song but it is not really well known, its called "sick sick sick: Fairweather friends"
it so hard finding chords or tabs because this artist doesn't have social media and only has 9 subscribers
i tried chordify but it doesn't work
my hand too fucken small

Omg, what guitar is this?
It's an Ibanez RG370DXL! This model is actually a left-handed guitar as I am a left-handed player, but because this is a tutorial, I've flipped the video to make it look like a right-handed guitar. Thanks for watching!
Thanks. I have the RG7420, Looks almost the same haha. Thanks for the content mate.
...you're miming, but the man in the video is playing with right hand?
What goes wrong? ^_^
Lots of people play right hand ? What do you mean
Video of him playing was flipped look at the guitar brand name
I am a left handed guitar player, but I flip the video around for my guitar tutorials. Since so many people are used to watching right handed people playing the guitar and not lefties, I mirror the video so people can better follow along with my tutorials. But I only do this for my tutorials - you can find me playing left handed in all of my covers!
@@adamontheguitar always gotta be the lefties that become guitar prodigies 🤣
it's actually easy.. however, i have small hand that probably need some times to play this songs in perfect way xD
What the hell is that 9 doing on the d string at 3:31
Listen VERY closely when you see that 9 cross the red line. There is a lightning fast note there that happens a millisecond before the main riff kicks back in, and that is what that 9 represents. Thanks for watching!
@@adamontheguitar Oh i see thanks for clarifying🤘
Nice videos, but the tab is far from beeing optimal
befosocial How could it be better, in your opinion? Always looking for some constructive criticism!
@@adamontheguitar difficult to do in comments - will google and see whether I find a working example.

It was just about this riff - when you play it like that you have shorter distances and therefore can hold the tone for longer times (maybe just opinion based - only had that part in my ear and wondered how the rest of the song goes - therefore I looked up your video
(found your channel originally because my band wanted to play knights of cydonia - that video was really awesome)
@@befosocial Yeah, I see where you're coming from with that! I actually gave the main riff a lot of thought when I was making this video. So the purpose of this tutorial is to match as close as possible to the original recording. The song itself was released in '79, and there's even a video here on UA-cam of them playing the song in that same year, and in it, you'll see the riff is played in the same way it is tabbed out in this video. I concluded that this method was how the song was most likely recorded since they were playing it like that in every live performance from that decade, so I went with the version of the riff that you see here. However, you really can't go wrong playing it either way as they are virtually the same from a note perspective. But if you listen to it from a tone perspective, it sounds to me like all the bass notes of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chords of the riff sound like they're sitting on the low E string. Glad to see that you enjoying these videos, and thank you for your comment - I appreciate your input!
