the language used in an environment directly impacts the professional culture, this is business culture/ethics 101. The fact these neanderthals were using abusive language to each other without restraint indicates a more br*thel-level culture than a stable government culture forged over centuries

I know people say this about every PM they don’t like but Boris Johnson fits the description of narcissistic personality disorder to tee and has most of the recognised clinical signs of a sociopath. I would suggest there’s a high chance we elected a mentally Ill guy and wrote off his episodes as quirks.

Why is it even thought that running a government via WhatsApp is in any way acceptable?

@@robba1234 In between destruction and archiving lies the "memory hole," a hidden chamber in the basement of Downing Street which was "discovered" in the Cameron years during the search for the missing file on paedophiles in parliament. At the time we were told it would take a civil servant with security clearance several years to catalogue the contents. I have heard nothing more about the project - did Boris just have the whole thing torched? Then there are the secret stores in the countryside where records of colonial atrocities and other skullduggery are kept away from the National Archives.

I really don't understand it either, I've worked on secure government projects and had we used private messaging services for government business while on those contracts we would have been fired instantly and possibly prosecuted. Why is it OK for ministers use such systems that are literally designed have features that make them non-recordable. It is really bizarre and inexplicable.
