I’m so glad I saw Heaven and Hell shortly before Dio died.
Same for me here in London 🤘
Same here. Won tix on my birthday to the Chicago show. It was the 5th to his last performance. 🤘 Got my Devil You Know signed by the whole band.
@@RockinExperience that’s awesome.
Me too! Saw them in Phoenix in 2009.🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I saw them twice in New Jersey then in Philly and New York on the last tour with Ronnie. It was at the last show that Ronnie performed at. The House of Blues at the Show Boat casino in Atlantic City. My favorite music artist.
Vinnie is such a cool person and such a monster drummer. My utmost respect!
I enjoy listening to Vinny. Different interviews over the years brought on some very humorous stories. All the best to you Vinny. RIP Ronnie
Much respect for Vinnie. I was so impressed with his work on those two Derringer albums. He's one of the more musical drummers around. Not just a basher.
wow!! good thing you dodged that bullet refusing the Ozzy gig! you would've been used, uncermonially dumped, not payed, not credited, Ozzy IS Crazy and Sharon even Crazier!
I was at that show at Aloha Stadium 🏟️ in 1980!
I had the pleasure to meet Vinny during the Holy Diver tour. Super nice laid back guy.
Thanks V
Personally, I think the engineer for Live Evil, Lee DeCarlo, was psychotic. No one was messing with the mixes, except maybe him. RJD ALWAYS said he did not push the vocals forward, and lower the guitar and bass. I personally believe him, because Ronnie was always an honorable guy, regardless of what Vivian Campbell says
Holy Diver is my junior high album
I love Mob Rules, Dehumanizer and The Devil You Know, as well as Holy Diver and Last In Line.
Just those 5 are amazing to have been a part of.
I met Vinny Appice Kill Devil Hill at New Parrish, good times!🤘
Vinny defined a lot of the overall Black Sabbath and of course, Dio sound....... Straight forward, turn the sticks around, hard-hitting and awesome drumming! So glad he never got mixed up with Ozzy....... (nothing against Ozzy, just a completely different path)
I was super lucky that my Uncle Bill was on the board of directors for the Omni in Atlanta and he called me one afternoon and goes "You ever heard of a band called Black Sabbath?" Im like hell yea. He goes "I have twenty tickets on the floor in the first two rows in front of the stage, do you want them?" This was the Mob Rules tour with the Canadian band Riot( Restless Breed ect.)opening for them. Im like hell yes i want them. It was the middle of the week i think maybe a Tue. or Wed. So i said i'll be over in 10 mins. to get them!! I called every buddy i could think of plus all their girlfriends too and we rocked the hell out that night lol. I bet my ears rang for two days sitting in front the massive wall of speakers and amplifiers they had onstage!
Vinny is one of the best and most friendliest rock legends out there. I've met him tons of times and is always awesome. Definitely my biggest drumming influence. He even taught my son how to do the 🤘. I have pictures!
If you like Vinny and his brother Carmine, check out "Hangin n Banging - Artists on Lockdown". Great chat show with special guests each episode.
I knew of Vinny way back when he was in Rick Derringers band. He was so original in his drumming abilities and how and what he played.
I hope that you and Vivian Campbell do the 40 th anniversary of the last in Line album this year
I wouldn't hold my breath on Vivian.
sabbath always had good drummers, bev bevan on born again tour was no slouch either
From ELO to Black Sabbath...... Two of my all-time favorite bands.
One of the names you often saw on album sleeves, always a great addition to any band. Also great to see these people being as nice as they are awesome musicians. Through and through impressive careers as Heaven and Hell's last record attests (also remarkable how it sounds fresh still, both the original 1980 record and the 2009 one).
Seems like he just wants to go out there and play. Last in Line, Sabbath Knights or whatever comes along. I think that's a good spirit. I'm guessing with another famous brother and quite a career himself money isn't really an issue unless he starts to waste much of it.
I'd easily go see any of his projects!
Amazing interview!
I really enjoyed this. Great interview. Thank you.
Heaven and Hell. 🤘✌️🏴🇦🇺
Vinnie 🎉🎉🎉
🤘🤘🤘
Vinny and carmine are really the only brothers that are completely professional drummer's
Very good ones too
He was 'literally' PARACHUTED into Sabbath?
Sad part is Dio was never more than an opening act. Never headlined a big arena tour.
Dio headlined several arena tours up until Lock Up the Wolves (1990)
Your wrong. He headlined for decades
In Dallas he headlined for Holy Diver, Last in Line, Sacred Heart, etc....
@@joeyb.8613 he also headlined in Cincinnati, Columbus, Charleston, Wilmington, Roanoke, Lexington and Atlanta. My brother was a truck driver with his show
"Explosive"??Good interview, but that is 1000% clickbait!
Big deal blah 😕 blah whatever bs.. How about the positive stuff like 👍 who rolls the best spliffs, joints doobies etc.. party 🎈 🔥🤩☺️💟
