Yay, more BeamNG. Have been chasing lap times on Nürburgring in Beam for some weeks now, not very successfully. Keeping any car alive for several minutes at a time in Beam is challenging as heck. Keeping it alive while full sending it around a track that should never be driven at more than Norwegian highway speeds is even more challenging XD
Someone should port the old 1960s nurburgring 1000km circuit into beamng
Jimmy definetly needs to hotlab a bit on the Nürburgring in Beam.
Is the Nürburgring Nordschleife (which I assume is what you're talking about running?) one of the mods you install with the built in mod manager or whatever it's called again, or does it require other jumping through hoops to get it installed? What are some good cars to use for running the Nordschleife? I want to try this in beamng, although I just remembered I don't have FFB working anywhere near right. 😐 I guess I'm gonna go look for some videos on unf*cking the FFB and to find out more about the Nordschleife mod. Wish me luck, because beamng seems to like to mess with me.
@@ledchickenfpv7164 Sadly it's not an officially approved BeamNG mod since it may or may not be ripped from another game. So you will have to download a Zip file and save that zip file into your mods folder. I'm one of the late gen Xers that once thought computer and the internet would never be as big as they are so If I can do it more or less anyone can.
@@zykotec Thanks for the info. I suspected that may be the case for the exact reason you mentioned. I'm actually a boomer (just missed Gen X by 🤏that much) who's been on the internet since before the internet (was on CompuServe when they connected to it) and had a several decade IT career, so one would hope, but Beamng is one of those packages that's very good at fooling me with its curveballs, but with your help I'll at least avoid scratching my head wondering why I can't find it with the mods manager. 😁👍BTW, just stick with running the Nordschleife and with any luck you'll be surprised as I was at how quickly you'll end up knowing what's coming up next. With Beamng's physics and car handling it might well still be a challenge to keep from showing off beamng's "soft body deformations" when you're pushing, but if you drive closer to Norwegian highway speeds for a handful of laps, hopefully you'll have the same experience I did in iracing and you'll end up surprised at how quickly you start to remember what's coming up next (assuming you're not there already from driving it in other sims). Good luck with it and thanks again!
I now want a collaborative version of this. A team sport. The objective to get the bus to complete the route in the fastest time possible. Other drivers are there to assist by crashing into the bus to stop it quicker, make tighter turns, and to help push it.

There is a Mod in beamNG that makes every part of the engine customize able, I love making 3 cylinder engines make rediculos power and whipping around. Best stress relief ever also helps me learn about wtf each engine part dose

Honestly I feel like this confirms a bus would actually be a valid zombie apocalypse survival vehicle. Tons of cars surrounding it from every angle, and yet it still powers through and moves them aside. Zombie horde ain't stopping this one.

I wonder if the big brain way to do this might not be to drive the bus backwards, a la demolition derby style. I don't know how much of a PITA it would be to drive backwards and even though you'd be protecting your ability to steer and have super quick steering response, with the engine and presumably radiator(s) getting pounded I don't know how long it would take for the engine to overheat and self destruct. I may have to hang it up with the iracing praccy and try this shiz! (I'm older Jimmer, MUCH older! You're a mere pup, lad.)
