2CarPros I have a question example if I want to change the complete kit do I need to get the codes from the old turn signals to find the new ones to buy ? Or it doesn't matter it can fit any c class from 01 - 07
thankyou I never would have got this. Attempting soon as I get my Stick
Great video.
Worked great, i followed everything exactly but now my Srs lights are on and also Esp light. Anyway to reset?
Mine too did you find out what's the problem?
@@ABRROB2008 not yet. I changed the clock spring and it's still the same. I'm so frustrated
Muchísimas gracias mi estimado, excelente video, pude hacer mi reparación, paso a paso seguí sus instrucciones, muchas gracias DIOS lo bendiga!
Thank you for watching!
Be great if mention the size of the tools you used
Just finished this on my sons 06 c230 the only thing that would have made it easier is a tool list in the description of the video other than that great video and a huge thank you
Thanks for watching!
Really helpfull video, I had the black and white wire broken: my wipers only worked when I was not using the blinkers. Thank you guys
Thank you for watching!
Great video, thank you for producing this! I did this job last week. I was originally reluctant to use an air tool to remove the center bolt but had to for this car. Could you please tell me what the purpose was in turning the steering wheel to the left as you have done in the video. Regards.
I wondered the same thing at first, but decided it was to give plenty of access for the allen key bolts in order to remove the airbag.
Hi after I did this procedur, the srs, esp and bas start to shine, I took it to a work shop but they could put the light out.. they didnt have the oem mercedes software but they clamid that something is wrong with the esp, airbag and brake sensor, any idea what have could happend?
Ok. I'm ready. Thank you so much. 😊👍
You're welcome 😊
Great vid, only thing that would make it better would to be to lead with the tools you'll need
Great point!
Great video thank you for sharing!!! 😊
Thanks for watching!
Good video. When you reconnected the battery, were there any errors that occurred as many people say. I'm planing to follow your instructions but quite afraid of the error results after reconnecting the battery. Thanks
+sannyskysr no errors occurred from this repair
Thanks for telling us what size the Allen bolts were
What size were Allen wrench you used?
Thanks for the video. BTW, what is the name/ reference of that impact tool and the 10 mm hexagonal bit? Is that impact tool battery-operated? Please continue with the good job, like that you can help many of us. Regards.
Thank you so much for a very detailed step by step video. Can you tell me after swapping over the indicator stalk and it still does not work, what could the problem be?
Check to see if you have a bad wiper relay.
Great step by step Thank you!
Thanks for watching Betty!
My Mercedes Benz C230 driver side turn signal started acting up so I was checking to see if the bulb was blown it doesn't look blown but still couldn't get it to work so I figured I would use the passenger side to make sure bulb wasn't blown now it's doing the same thing do you think maybe it's my turn signal switch as well ?
Fantastic,...good work, many thanks!!!!👍
Thanks for watching!
I was under the impression that the steering wheel needed to be returned to the centered (straight on) position before removing the clock spring. The casing of the clock spring explicitly shows two icons: one with the fronts wheels angled (with an X through it) and the other with the wheels straightened, indicating the preferred position. Was this an oversight on your part, or is straightening the steering wheel simply a suggestion to facilitate assembly?
Hi,
When you were removing the clock spring you used a small
flat bladed screwdriver (4:47 in the video). I’m assuming that you used it to
remove/open the plastic retaining clips in order that the clock spring could be
removed.I’m at the stage where I need to pull the clock spring but,
despite removing the three small screws, it won’t come off the spline. Can you please tell me what you actually did at that point in
the video to allow the clock spring to come free?
There is a little plastic retainer clip you need to release inside of there
I did it just as described thank you but I have srs on and battery negative was disconnected. Anyway to shut that off.
Then you need to scan the computer for SRS codes, here is a video on that. ua-cam.com/video/gnSGfEqrf_w/v-deo.html Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video. Do you have a list of the tools needed to complete this job?
If I may, I’d like to get a list of the tools needed to do this repair. Please!
Great job!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi, do you know it there are any way to modify this so the indicator and cruisecontrol stick is pointing out on the right side of the wheel? I had a brainstroke in 2010 and my left side is paralyzed (not working), I drive with automatic and right hand only, It would made my day easyer if i had the sticks to the right ;-)
Gracias muy buena explicación felicidades
Excellent!! Thank you so much.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you it help me a lot
I'm glad we can help, please subscribe.
I done as the video stated and put everything back together now I have an ESP light on my dash which wasn't showings before I replaced the switch. My wiper's, turn signals, and horn don't work. I Checked the fuels and from what I can see they were OK. My car was do for an alignment before I replaced the switch could that B the problem. I really need Ur help
Great video. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
what is the tip for removing the steering angle sensor? I have really hard time to remove it but the move seems very easy.
The tools at first to take off the airbag and what tork to take off the bolt in the middle of the steering wheel
Is this procedure similar for a 2008 C350 (W204)? I need to replace the combo turn signal as my wipers don’t respond to the selected position..
I always thaught turn signals were an option on a Mercedes-Benz?
Carpe diem glxke thats BMW 😄
What type of screwdriver is used at 6.07 to take off the whole ring?
That's an Allen wrench. Thank you for watching!
Torx 10
Do you guys have a list of tools in order to complete this process by any chance?
We didn't do a list for this video but if you have a question what tool is used at a certain time in the video, I will be more than happy to help you find out what that tool is called.
Take all the time to make a video, but don't do any explaining during the video.. Makes perfect sense! Ie. Use a torx 30 to take out the airbag, make sure you remove orange clips after removing the black wire, etc.
Kitty Freimann Further: 10 mm hex and Torx 10.
What could be a reason for the left turn indicator turns on and off automatically for the random amount of time? Im not even toughing the switch? W203 ofcorse.
Maybe check this video out ua-cam.com/video/3S0Ns3O3ULA/v-deo.html Thanks for watching!
SO I think i need to do this on a c180. Is it gonna all be similar? Take wheel cover off and do all the things? How much would it cost a mechanic to do this?
Very similar and a mechanic can charge quite a bit due to the make. Thank you for watching!
What size is the center bolt removed with?
Size 10 hex I heard in another video, this should be the same.
replaces switch with two different units-both don't work at all (just the wiper didn't work before) The old switch back in works as much as it did
I guess Mercedes must hookup computer to recognize the new switch -no mention of that in Video
AND now I have ESP and SRS error codes showing up
SUCKS if it needs a computer reset SAY SO -Mercedes isn't gonna hookup my switch
What happens if you lost a screw from the clock column have 3 one lost???
I'd order an other screw and do the job right. Thanks for watching!
Здравствуйте куда вы деваите старый переключатель ,мне нужен для ремонта
Is this process same for 2008 c350?
What size did you use to take off the airbag
Carpros are obtuse. It's a torx 30 on the 420 clk
How come there is no Electrical connector on the Combination Switch?
Actually there is, see 8:28 top left side
hi there, i did replace the switch but when hooked back in the airbag and ESP error accured. any sugestion ?
+Vicasey Lao Double check the connection on the airbag assembly. They are small connections and can be brittle causing them to break sometimes needing to be replaced if this is your problem.
I have a 2003 e320. Is the steps the same?
It might look a little different but will still be the same process.
thank you
SRS system error after this one, how to remove it?
I’ve got the same, any suggestions?
whipper not workin turn signal not working .. Windows not working
Are you saying this process will fix those things if its not a fuse?
Pfff the shrews stuck like a house.😢
If you have done not done this before do not turn the steering wheel 😂
Correct!
Don't turn it to the left as he did in the video? Why's that?
This looks like a nightmare
Tricky but doable. Thanks for watching!
Fine and dandy, but you don't indicate *WHY* you would make this repair. What symptoms/problems/issues would a car have to determine if this is what's needed? I ask because mine have mysteriously *STOPPED* working several times, but when you turn the car off and back on, they work again. Even the Benz d'ship wasn't 100% sure of the issue and only "recommended" replacing the *ENTIRE STEERING COLUMN MODULE* with no real guarantee of fixing it.
*EDIT* We've got an '08 for w/ever that's worth.
I had to replace mine because the wipers only worked when left turn signal
Was on
