As warriors who entered a state of frenzied rage in combat, Berserkers and Ulfhednar were seen as embodying the fierce aspects of Odin. The Berserkers, with their bear associations, and the Ulfhednar, with their wolf connections, were believed to channel the primal strength and ferocity of these animals.
