In honor of the new Showtime documentary released about The Go-Go's (that I haven't watched yet but hear is great), here's a drum cover of Head Over Heels. This is one of the very first songs we learned when we started The Bro-Bro's almost four years ago and it remains one of our favorites to play!
(And, yes, that is my 10 year old son playing Fortnite on the other side of the basement while I was recording this....)

I taught myself the drums to this song.
Thanks. It's so fun to play and a great learning song! I taught myself to play to Weezer's blue album many years ago. There are a lot of similarities with The Go-Go's biggest hits - great power pop rock with simple drums (which are a big reason the songs are so powerful and huge).
@@bijoydatta little did I know when I first picked up the drums what an excellent drummer Gina Schock is. I was an OCD “counter” growing up so I had an uncanny ability to count along to each and every beat, LOL.
DAMN THAT WAS GOOD!!!!!!!! OUTSTANDING JOB! Always loved that song and it was one of the first ones I learned to play start to finish. Just excellent. Just subbed! :D

I play in a cover band (well, at least before the pandemic) called The Bro-Bro's that covers a lot of Go-Go's songs. That's a sticker with our Go-Go's-inspired logo.
