Lex and Leo will probably add in their opinion on this, but I’ve found two weeks is the minimum amount of time to get an altitude benefit. One month is much better though. I’ve never done more than a couple of weeks, but I would definitely do a month like Newbury Park did if I could. Altitude never really feels very different to me though since the high heat training where I live is actually more strenuous than 10,000ft altitude. I have been coaching a runner from Oregon for just under two months now, and he improved his fitness tremendously by spending a few months over 8500ft in Bogota. He dropped his 3000m from 9:17 to 8:52 in that timeframe, so the longest amount of time you can spend up high will definitely help you
@@benanastasoff8980 thanks so much for your input! I've never gone more than a week at altitude and never really felt like my fitness improved, so hopefully I can stay 2 or more weeks Also that's a big improvement in your athletes 3k time! Columbia did him well
Yeah I agree two weeks is the minimum. The longer you can stay up at a high altitude the better, it helps train your body to develop more red blood cells. Its a great way to get fit fast.
I'm sure training at altitude has no benefit. It is living at altitude that increases the red blood cells and therefore your bodies ability to oxegenate your blood more efficiently. I've been told training at sea level is actually more beneficial. Obviously it is not really viable to live at altitude and train at sea level.
There are definitely opinions on both sides, thanks for the insight. According the studies my coach has read altitude will benefit you by teaching your body to produce more red blood cells after about three weeks.
summer series has been the best content I've seen so far!

Are you guys going to Woodbridge?
There is a possibility, its not set in stone yet.
Any core or weight routines?
Yeah we do a lot of core and ankle weights/ bands to maintain strength and prevent injuries.
@@LLexandleovloggs can you do a video on your core routine (kind of like the athlete special one)

Living in California looks like so much fun ugh

W video
Great video editing (as well as the running). What watch/app do you guys use for tracking mileage?
They use a garmin for the watch. I think it’s a forerunner 245
Where was that run @?
In thousand oaks, we started at south conejo creek park and ran around through the surrounding parks.
Awesome video what other exiting content do you guys have coming and can I get a team shirt from you guys
We have alot of videos with Nico coming. And not at the moment, but maybe we will make some merch if enough people are interested.
@@LLexandleovloggs okay you guys should do a voting poll to see
Would only 2 weeks at altitude be enough or should you be up there for at least a month to get the benefits?

As twins, I wonder what your guy’s height and weight differences are
I am like an inch taller than lex and ten pounds heavier
Where was Daniel Appleford
He was on a trip with his family 😁
Just an easy 8
Do you know if Colin did any time trials during quarantine as a sophomore? What were his times compared to yours?
Sadly Colin was injured during most of his sophomore track season so he never got any marks.
Wouldn’t you like to share your runs on strava?
No
I bet our xc team could beat your xc team in baseball 😤
I would not be surprised 😂

Why premier? Just upload now
It adds well deserved hype to the videos
Its a new feature youtube wants channels to use so the algorythm favors premiered videos when suggesting them to viewers
yeah like andrew and germesx said, it allows us to build hype before the release and reach more viewers.
