    INGREDIENTS
    --------------------
(This recipe makes 4 breads, approx 4-5 net carbs per bread)
2 cups (250g) ground almonds (almond meal)
7-8 tbsps (40g) tbsps psyllium husks (fine crumbs or powder)
    2 tsps baking powder
    2 tsps sweetener
    Small pinches of salt
1 tsp quick action yeast (optional)
    1 tbsp oil
2 cups hot water (Add a small amount at a time. You most likely won’t need the full amount!)
    2 tsps vinegar
Sesame seeds (for sprinkling on top)
    DIRECTIONS
    ------------------
    1. Add all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Place aside.
    2. In 2 cups of freshly boiled hot water, add in 2 tsps of vinegar, mix well.
    3. Add oil in the dry ingredients, then pour in a small amount of the hot vinegar/water liquid and start kneading the dough. Add more liquid (1 tsp at a time!) as you go till you reach a smooth and glossy texture.
    4. Preheat the oven in 180C (350F). Gather the dough into a large ball and leave it to rest for 10-15mins)
    5. Divide the bread dough into four portions and shape each portion into a ball shape. Place the dough balls on a greased baking tray. Press the dough balls gently to create a bun shape. Coat the top of the bread dough with oil. Sprinkle some sesame seeds.
    6. Bake the bread dough in a 180C (350F) preheated oven for 50-60mins till golden brown.
    Enjoy! x

I'm not vegan, I'm not even vegetarian, please don't judge me, I'm weak... but... I love your channel, I tried almost every single recipe, and now, after all this time (almost 2 years on keto and 20 kilos lighter) after the unfortunate quest for a breadlike thing all over the internet, I want to say: thank you so so so much for your creativity, your time, your calmness, I wouldn't make it so far without this specific recipe! (inspired by your flatbread recipe I added oat fiber to this bread... heavenly heaven!! what a phrase to be said from a nonreligious person..) thank you for making my keto life possible, so amazing and simple. Please don't ever stop trying new recipes and making your wonderful videos. Thank you again! greetings from the currently frozen Greece

How much Oat Fibre did you add Dimitra, half the quantity of Almonds ie 125g? Also did you also add some Xanthan Gum as Heavenly Fan did to the Flatbreads? If so what quantity? - I LOVE HeavenlyFan's recipes soo much!

@@namour1969hi, if you are interested I used 50g Zimmermann bamboo fiber, 190g Blue Diamond Almond flour, 40g Now Foods Whole Psyllium husks, and added 1/4 tsp Redmond's salt. Used just about 1 plus 1/2 cup of the water. They turned out yummy delicious, not with a crusty crust, but softer as they cooled. I like that better. Also, my dough never seems as smooth as hers, but I love the result anyway! Best bread yet and I have tried a ton of recipes, lol! Oh yes, no brush on oil or sesame seeds.

2 cups is really different than 250 g. When I measured out 250 g that really made about 2 3/4 cup of almond flour. So I really cut back on the almond flour maybe 2 1/4 cup if I use that much I need more than 2 cups of hot water, anybody else have this issue?

I’ve tried many keto bread recipes over the past year and this is hands down THE BEST! In fact, the dough smelled so much like “normal bread”, I tasted a pinch raw...it tasted just like bread!! I took a bigger sample, put a little butter on it and it tasted like normal bread and butter!! LOL, yes, I know that sounds crazy - and it’s honestly not because I was so desperate for bread (I’m happily adapted to my keto lifestyle!😊) but just that the flavor was SO spot on!! I was super excited as these were baking up beautifully in the oven...and I was NOT disappointed; the texture was perfect! THANK YOU for sharing this fantastic recipe and looking forward to trying more of your recipes. I did add more salt to taste, and also found that letting the buns cool gave a perfect texture (the one I ate hot out of the oven - because I couldn’t wait!😍 - deflated a little when I handled it and seemed slightly doughy in the center). I made a double batch using a Bosch mixer, kneaded with dough hook for about 3 minutes, used the full amount of the water called for (and a little more when forming into balls with my hands), and made 8 smaller dinner sized rolls with one batch and four full sized buns with the other batch...All came out great and were super, super delicious and a great texture. Unlike other breads I’ve tried, the day after texture was still perfect; I will be making these regularly from now on. Thanks again!

This recipe is fantastic! Easy, delicious and so filling! I have been sewing masks for weeks now and watching a LOT of keto videos on UA-cam. I am in absolute awe of you! I have tried a lot of keto breads and GF over the years and this is THE BEST!!! So, I made it again and added the whole 2 cups water. Put the 1 Tbsp sesame seeds into the dough (because they fell off my first batch.) Measured out 1/2 cup for each (got 5 and a "baby" which I enjoyed as a mini PB&J). Pressed each into a flat hamburger patty shape, egg washed them and baked 45 minutes. They puffed up and became perfectly soft for sandwiches or hamburger buns! YAY! I can have yummy bread again! Thank you!!!

I made this bread yesterday, I can say this recipe is the bomb! I made these into bagels, got 24 small size. I could not find ground almonds the meal like you have so I ground my own raw almonds 150 g and used 150 g extra fine almond flour and it worked fine. They had a slightly brown color due to the almonds i ground were not blanched, more like wheat bread but that did not bother me, they were lite and airy and tasted great. I cut in half and toasted them and spread some cream cheese and were close match to a regular bagel.

I totally love this bread recipe and it helps us so much in keep going with the keto vegan lifestyle!Like many others of your recipes :X What I would like to mention is about the psyllium husk.I think it's really important to pay attention at the feedbacks of the product when choosing which one to buy.I used one brand for a long time and was all perfect, and then when I ran out of it, I bought a different one cause what I used was out of stock, and the result was awful.Purply greyish gummy bread that couldn't be eaten. It was the only ingredient that was different.I eventually found my old brand and now the bread is perfect again :X We love to eat it with a traditional romanian dish called "ciorba"( like the soup, but sour).Thank you for making our life so much easier with your great content :X

Good morning Fan, Today I tried to makes these buns using 30 grams bamboo fiber and 210 grams almond flour (Blue Diamond). I also use Now Foods whole psyllium husks. I added 2 tsp garlic powder, a total of 1/4 tsp salt and didn't add the yeast. I baked them 1 hr. I think they turned out pretty good. Maybe a little more water next time (just used 1 cup), but all in all, I'm pleased with the results.
Fan, your method of adding water as needed is really the way to go. All recipes I have seen, which is a lot, have been just add in the total amount. But you have really cracked the code! Update: I used just less than 1 and 1/2 cups of water and no garlic powder. Also, 9 grams baking powder if that makes a difference. This batch turned out the best yet, Fan! Thank you so much 💕

Wow! Just made these today and they are wonderful! I meant to measure, but I estimate that I had about 1/3 cup left of the water/vinegar mixture. I wouldn't call the outside crusty - maybe I should have baked them longer? But the inside is perfect - dense yet light at the same time. I think next time I'll make 6 or even 8 smaller rolls out of the same amount of dough.

Indeed, using so much eggs and dairy in bread-making is a very modern development, keto or not. If you look at traditional bread recipes from Europe even now, you would only find flour, yeast, salt and water in most staple breads. And they are beautiful and delicious. simplicity is the best, and it works x
