Focus on a single affix is a top tier tip!!! I had no idea that 2T5 had lesser level requirement than 4T3
For those who wanna know regarding resistances: In PoE having not capped resistance is bad because game is designed around having capped i.e. at 75 res you take 25 % of the damage. at 70 res you take 30% of the damage BUT compared to what you previously took (25%) and what the game is balanced around you take 20 % more relative damage.
In Last Epoch resistance is based around resistance penetration which scales with level and at endgame monster wills penetrate 75% resistance ergo if you have 75% res you take damage as if you had no res and the enemy no pen. This also means that at 70 res the monster brings you to -5% resistance and you take 5% more damage then before (relative).
You see the difference this makes in relative (or expierienced damage) where in PoE 5% res means 20% more damage while in Last Epoch 5% less ress means 5% more damage.
Also penetration only caps out at level 75 maps compared to poe stacking 2 -30% every 5 chapters.
Oh i didnt expect mobs to just be given penetration for free all the time...
Guess that explains why im taking more damage than i thought i should be with close to capped res on everything.
I guess OVER-capping is unironically really useful
@@TheCosmicAstro- no it isn't. You're still capped at 75, overcapping doesn't work against penetration.
Penetration is applied after the cap.

@@TheCosmicAstro- The normal penetration enemies have is applied after the resistance is capped so yes it doesnt help with that. The game is basically balanced around your res and the enemy pen canceling each other out.There are additional resistance shred effects though which reduce your resistance and for those it can help to have overcapped resistance since they apply first. In general though its probably better to look for other stats instead of stacking resistance after the cap.

Started playing the game a few weeks ago to prep and im super hyped for launch
I don't mind Ads but popping one right when your guest is talking and have nothing to do with the video seems strange.
I can't wait for the 21st. I'm not even that big into PoE or ARPGs in general but I'm excited to try this one.
This thing I often hear “keep your items to shatter them later on” won’t simply work for 2 reasons: every rune of shattering costs 2k gold and that’s a hella LOT in the beginning of the game because sell price for items at vendors is ultra low and gold from mobs and quests rewards is low too. You’d better save gold for stash tabs early on. Second reason is that even with loot filter you are submerged with loot, there’s no point in keeping it for later on: you’ll need 74894 stashes to bank it (that you won’t be able to afford by any meaning) and in the endgame you won’t have enough runes of shattering to shatter them all anyways, there’s no way to target farm them in high quantities. TLDR: DONT BANK GEAR TO SHATTER IT LATER ON. Use or upgrade the gear it’s useful to you and sell everything else to the vendor until you finish the campaign and get to monoliths. This may partially not apply if you know you will choose the Merchants Guild, where you maybe wanna keep something to sell later on. My sorcerer is 82 and I still have FOUR stashes full of “I will shatter later” items that I will probably never shatter unless EHG make runes of shattering easily farmable in high quantities.
items you should keep are items with your class specific skill affixes and high tier health, resis and dmg scaling affixes
especially early on it's even better if these rolls are on blue items, because of the higher chance for shatter to hit the affix you really want
so a loot filter that strictly hides all magic items is not the best choice in my opinion
I'd say hold onto Hybrid Health and +Skill for abilities you plan to use, but yeah otherwise not much reason to hold on. Especially because earlier items will be lower tier, and you won't get as many shards anyway.
You can just keep rezoning into a vendor to buy more
@@Invie4196 I know but it's a really "cheap" solution. I would prefer other ways (infinite stack from vendors or target farming in monoliths).

ngl ive beaten the campaign in this game i never knew what "chapter" i was ever in does it say somewhere?
Open map, press shift to toggle quest visibility and they will have chapter numbers in there.

I learned a few things, thank you both.
I agree that, technically, the game has technical problems, and it's likely that many will persist even after the release of version 1.0. Clearly, this is the result of a game made by people passionate about ARPGs, rather than by a group of game development experts from a souless triple A company.
We have to consider that, even with these difficulties, this team, passionate about what they do, listens to the community and takes risks that other AAA studios cannot afford to take.
Regardless of the success of Last Epoch's launch, they are changing the landscape of ARPGs and will have an immeasurable contribution to future games in the same genre, like POE2.
The way I see it: they will probably have things to fix, including a potential server meltdown on Feb 21. Caveats: They didn't ask $90 for it, they know how ARPGs work and they have things to fix, opposed to a content/depth void. And there's an offline mode as a silver lining.
This is a full game with a couple broken things, not an overpriced, barebones MVP - like most AAA games.

Wasn't Imperial Era filled with necrotic monsters? Those chicken bones that shoot projectiles, the eyes, the gallon monster with necrotic liquid...
Oh, also, for people who play hardcore, just cap your resistances. Don't risk it.
res is in the 50-60s should be fine, even for hardcore. especially in the campaign you can focus on specific res instead of all. late game, you will need all, but still max isn't a requirement. play around with Last Epoch 'effectice HP' calculators and you'll see ;)

i think every build should have 3 lootfilters. 1 for campaign. 1 for early endgame, so u still see some T4-T5 stat gear. Otherwise u start doing monoliths with the endgame lootfilter and u basicly never see any upgrades becuase your leveling gear is completetly garbage and u will be stuck in early monoliths
You can limit the level within the same lootfilter. For example, you can show 'garbage' items up until lv 35 or something.
@@VitchAndVorty creator made lootfilters have like 30 lines of stuff. Waay too complicated to change anything
From a meta gamers point of view how long will i stay intrested in last epoch .. is it like d4 where your lvl 100 in 24hrs and bored af after a week ..??

While Terek is a good player and pretty insightful, it might be better to script your guests' speaking part before recording. Not everyone is a good impromptu speaker
