- Start in South Perth and drive to the CBD over the Narrows bridge. Follow St. Georges Terrace to East Perth then back to city centre via Wellington Street. Loop around and onto William Street to go over to Northbridge. Head out to Burswood and Optus Stadium. Return to the city through the “Polly pipe” tunnel then drive up to the iconic Kings Park with magical views of the city. Finally, follow the Mounts Bay Road along the Swan River back into the city and onto Kwinana freeway.
It was just another gorgeous winter day in Perth with blue skies and temperature of 20 degrees Celsius.

Well, this effort of yours has given my wife a lot of pleasure. An English emigrant of the 1960's , most of her family still live there in Perth. Many memories have flooded back and some places are still recognizable. Thank you.

Sydney is home for me, but lived in Perth for 3.5 years and absolutely LOVED it. Possibly the best city in Australia as far as I'm concerned :)

@@rogersampaio7450 the city, in my opinion, is very safe. There's the occasional 'rougher' parts of Perth, but like any big city, they're in the lower socio-economic part. And even there it's not too bad.
Overall, a beautiful city :)

went to UWA for a degree back in 2007, Perth until now stays the same: a comfortable city to live in.
Well worth the time to watch your footage - thank you for being so detailed it has brought back many memories. I had forgotten how interesting Perth was and what a jewel in the crown Kings Park is. My husband and I have resided in the USA for the past 26 years and will be visiting our family in Australia later in 2023. Have not visited since 2019 and I intend to soak up quality family time and enjoy all the very grown up City of Perth has to offer.

My other video driving from the city to Fremantle and back to Cottesloe has some water views of Swan River and the ocean.

Very well done! Always wondered what Perth looked like - just a name on a map until now. Must say pleasantly surprised - well planned, modern infrastructure and amazed at the greenery. I guess the mining connotation suggested for me a dry and somewhat barren place but far from it. Kings Park and the river particularly impressive. Unless I missed it didn't spy one McDonald's the whole trip or KFC for that matter which must be a first for a travel vid lol! Hmmmm might just have to make the effort and visit. Enjoyed.

Dont have time to watch the whole thing but how did you manage to drive around Perth for a whole hour without any road rage incidents?
There was a close call in the second half of the video with another car cutting me off (a little) while turning at the lights. Also, a couple of people going through red light and I only noticed it while editing. However, it takes two to tango, hence patience is a virtue in these scenarios. Who needs road rage in Perth on a relaxing weekend 😂
I drive around Perth 5 days a week and have never had a single road rage incident in the CBD.

At the 28 second mark you can see a small yellow and white bus. It is driverless. Run by the Royal Automobile Club of W.A.

Lived there for 32 Years, hated that 6 weeks in mid Summer when the Freo Doctor stopped and really hot, humid weather prevailed. Otherwise a good place to live if you can afford it.

Western Australia covers 975,685 square miles or over 2,500,000 square kms with a population of 2,500,000. Though the majority live around the Perth suburbs and other towns etc on the coast.

This was Saturday early afternoon, start of winter, during pandemic but we had no restrictions. I’d say little less busy than typical weekend.
