- オーストラリア4泊5日のパース旅行(撮影日：2024年1月)
1日目：空港から直接フリーマントルへ向かい、マーケットと刑務所観光。
2日目：ナンバン国立公園(ピナクルズ)とランセリン砂丘を観光。
3日目：ホテル近くのヘイリソン島で野生のカンガルーを見て、午後はパース市内観光。エリザベス・キー、ベルタワー、ロンドンコートなどを観光した後、ランチには一二三屋うどん。その後はキングス・パークでウォーキング。
4日目：フェリーに乗ってロットネスト島へ。レンタル自転車で島を周りながら、たくさんのクオッカと出会い、美しいビーチを満喫。
5 Day trip to Perth, Australia (Filmed in 2024 January)
Day 1: Visited Fremantle Market and Fremantle Prison
Day 2: Drove to the north and visited Nambung National Park (The Pinnacles) and Lancelin Sand Dunes
Day 3: Met wild kangaroos on Heirisson Island which is close to our hotel in the morning. Then, in the afternoon, got around Perth City visiting Elizabeth Quay, The Bell Tower and London Court. Hifumiya Udon Noodle House for lunch. Kings Park and Botanic Garden for a refreshing walk.
Day 4: Took a ferry to Rottnest Island where we cycled around the island and met lots of adorable quokkas and enjoyed beautiful beaches.
【ロットネスト島攻略のポイント】
・島は広いので島一周を自転車で回るのはちょっとキツイかも。また激しくはないですが、アップダウンがあるので、楽ではありません。電動自転車がいいかも。
・島内はバスも走っているので、行くポイントを事前に決めておいてバスと徒歩で回るのもアリ。
・ビジターセンター周りにたくさんの店やレストランがあります。島を回る場合は、ランチを持参した方が良いかも。オススメランチ場所はサーモンビーチ。
・日除けがないので、日焼け対策はばっちりと。日差しが強いので日焼け止めは2時間おきにしっかり塗る。
・靴は、ビーチがたくさんあるので海に入りたい人は、ビーサンは自転車漕ぎにくいと思うので、そのまま海に入れるウォーターシューズ等がいいかも。
・水分補給はしっかりと。給水ポイントはちょこちょこありますが、ペットボトル2本くらいは持参した方が良いと思います。我々は、500mlのペットボトル2本で 一本は前日から冷蔵庫で凍らせておいて、もう一本の水を入れて氷を溶かしながら飲みました。
・自転車は後ろの荷台に荷物を挟める緩めの金具がありますが、あまり使い物にならず、カゴはないので、背中に背負えるリュックがオススメ。
・島内の地図はビジターセンターでもらえますが、ちょっとわかりにくいこともあるので、携帯のグーグルマップを使うのが良き。
【Some tips for Rottnest Island】
The island is not small with lots of slopes and it's not easy to cycle around the island for one day. Electric bikes might be an option.
There're bus services on the island, which will be other options to take buses and walk to the spots you will be visiting (without using bikes)
There're lots of shops and restaurants around the visitor centre. But if you get around the island, we recommend to bring your lunch with you. The recommended lunch spot is Salmon Beach.
No shades on the island - apply sunscreen regularly.
There're many beautiful beaches on the island. We recommend to wear water shoes instead of thongs as it's not easy to cycle with the thongs.
Bring lots of water and stay hydrated. There're water stations, but not many.
Bring backpacks as most of the bikes do not have baskets.
Better to use Mapp App when cycling around the island

The City of Lights reference at 12:08 is actually a call back to the Space Race. When John Glenn, the first American to orbit the Earth, flew on Friendship 7 his orbital path took him over the City of Perth on Feb 20, 1962. Since people in Perth knew Glenn was passing overhead all the lights in the city were turned on and people pulled out every white sheet they had to help reflect the light to acknowledge Glenn as he passed over. Glenn noticed the bright lights on the west coast of Australia and he asked what they were, and was told by the NASA CapComs that it was Perth and Rockingham Australia. Glenn graciously thanked the people of Perth and Rockingham during the flight, and from that point Perth was coined as the City of Lights. 36 years later in 1998 Glenn again went into orbit at 77 years old on STS-95. Again the flight path would take him over Perth, and the same as that day in 1962 all the lights in the city were turned on to ensure Glenn got to see Perth again.

30年ほど前になりますが、初めての海外旅行でパースに行きました街の綺麗さにファンになり翌年にも再訪。ピナクルにもレンタカーで行き砂漠の夕焼けを見て帰ってきたことを思い出しました、綺麗な画像ありがとうございます！

ロットネスト島に自転車の方がいいですか。それともバスも大丈夫ですか、バスの頻繁さを気になります。
ロットネスト島でバスは乗らなかったので、バスの頻度は不明ですが(ネットで調べたところ、30分-1時間間隔のようです)、時間を気にせず自由に周りたいのであれば自転車が良い気がします。ただ坂道が多いので、良い運動になりますが😅
自転車・バス、いずれにしても、事前にどのポイントを周るのか決めておいた方がよいかと思います!
