just a hint for future videos you can slow the video playback speed but up to .25 of normal speed (which is good for video) it may sound a bit silly if you go too slow but it beats playing it back over and over again. have a great day.

i think seeing the documents would be helpful but overall the video does a great job at explaining each piece of the documents almost to the point that seeing them isn’t necessary. i don’t deny that examples would have probably made this great video even better though
Thanks for the video, It helped alot, but also left me with more questions. One of which stems from the example you gave near 12:30 about an owner who might decide to "Shorten the collection period". This term and a few others in the example were not terms you had mentioned in the video. Unfortunately, I didn't understand the example.
Most companies have collection "terms"/periods or windows of time they allow customers to pay within. The standard is 30-60days for that collection period but some extend theirs to 90 days. In his example he mentioned if the company has 90 day terms they might look at their cash flow statement & determine in order to keep a certain level of cash flow within the company they need to shorten the collection period maybe to 60 or 30 days. Hope this helps😊

A well explained basic description and blog on Bookkeeping for beginners. BUT HOLD ON, WAIT UP!. I have never passed a booking course, even though I started one, a correspondence course but never finished. I've done a Bookkeeping transactions course, never passed and didn't completely finish but am still gonna keep trying. BUT even then, even when I was doing my first course in bookkeeping, about 10 years ago, I had to get to the most important part of checking all your Debits and Credits so that they match penny for penny, cents for cents, pounds for pounds and $ for $, buying completing a TRIAL BALANCE BEFORE THE BALANCE SHEET, and P & L IS DONE. You seem to leave that out? Now this can't be a basic video explanation of the subject without the inclusion of the Trail Balance, and the same applies for Bookkeeping Transactions, which is an area of Accounting, after Bookkeeping. My brother...LondonUK.

Totally agree. Some instructors talk at a hundred mph and expect a thumbs up. and you don't have the slightest clue what they mean.
