Awesome vid! I thought the whole vid was just going to be carry can footage, but I was really surprised to see the 2 dumpsters of greens get emptied. The truck doesn't even sound like a typical CNG powered truck either, it's still got a really nice roar to it and it's a thing of beauty as well, this company really cares about their equipment. Thanks for taking the time to catch this truck and driver. I hope to see more from this company.
That is one clean ass truck, the guys at Haul Away must really take a lot of pride in what they do. Sounds cool too. I like watching this type of Bayne tipper at work, good thing it doesn't dump to high since it probably gets pretty windy around there. That carry can is odd, you don't often see them with the bottom pockets. Also very cool to hear about the Maxon conversion. All in all great vid!
(1/2) That Amrep looks really good in red. It's bright it stands out and looks shinny lol. Anyways, I've always wondered about this company. Never knew they had residential routes I was only aware that they ran commercial. I like how the carry can has the tipper in the front, how it's pretty fast and also how the driver closes all the lids after being dumped. Remember my old yard waste driver from like 10 years ago used to do that, close the lids as it came down.
(2/2) Really nice shot at 2:55 how you got him dumping all the manual stuff and how the cart is there in the shot displaying the company logo and name. Looks like you scored in a really nice area for greens, every house has an average of at least 2 or 3 carts out for collection. So that was very cool to see all of that greens being collected. Overall outstanding video, as usual great job on the shots and the angles of the whole truck. I definitely would love to see more :)
Ahh, the Thursday route (or what used to be Thursday) I could tell you right where every one of these clips was shot haha there are some pretty crazy hills in that area. Never could keep up with Haul Away though (on a bike) since their stops were few and far between at the time of open contract. Awesome to see them growing too. What trucks collect the other waste streams? cool video
Thanks you can find there are quite a few if you look for them still out there its always cool to see an amrep follower packer and yes two days out of the week they use this truck for commercial trash and that is a surprise to be revealed in more videos
This is really great footage! Could not of been easy filming with all the hills and tight streets. Great to see some manual FL trucks still driving around. It is a little rare from what I have seen to have an Amrep FL elliptical with a follower. Do you know if they use this truck for commercial routes too or just residential? Also what collects the other bins?
yeah these guys have great looking equipment and provide excellent service to their customers and there were so many huge set outs that i didnt get on film but thanks and expect to see more
Damn that's a fast ass truck! Must have to wash it every day if it's on greens lol. Their signage tells me that they're a pretty classy company too! Do people use the blue one just for shits or overflow or what? Where the hell did those dumpsters come from? Damn that one one house (19.00) had a shitload of greens! And that LA zarn, lol. What's this about ASL to FL conversion? Sounds neat. Good lord you filmed a lot, didn't think I'd get all the way through. Awesome video!
ohh yeah The driver cleans it at least once a week (have you seen a cleaner 3 y/o canopy ?) the carry can was made by haul away for nasa when they got the LA recycle contract but they didnt need it so now haul away uses it here and yeah we need the colorado peeps to get on it lol Thanks
this was tuesday and tell me about it i feel like i have lived there because i have been there so much and yeah filming is already hard with a car it has to be impossible with a bike lol that is a suprise you will see soon my friend
yes . no and yes lol he washes it once a week at least lol the blue is for trash gray for recycle and greens for green waste but i guess those people had more greens than trash there were houses with even larger set outs !! that is a maxon truck out in colorado Thanks
haha yeah thats a good little attention grabber yeah this truck is so nice it takes too many words to describe it This company takes excellent care of there equipment and that makes them look great on the road and their Containers are pretty clean too Your very welcome and you will see more
Damn! Let's get that poor driver a Curotto can for the front of that thing to go along with that shiney new Autocar. Doesn't seem like too much to ask for when he's already driving a $300,000 truck. Not to mention the time it would save him from having to get out of the truck and dump the cans by hand, more customers served, more money made. Curotto can will pay for itself very quickly, keeps drivers safe.
WOW, this poor driver has to work his tail off. In my city, the driver never gets out of the truck & the lift picks up and dumps each can. He can do it really fast. This looks like a lot of work for the driver.

Now this was just awesome footage! Very nice clean and red truck plus it was very fun to watch the tipper on the carry can.

Not to mention, what professional, CDL certified truck driver wants to drive truck AND manually pick up debris? Answer: a stupid one.
