  • This is a great test question that I would like to include on a rational expressions test because covers some of the most important elements students need to know for adding rational expressions

Im in 10th grade and tested this out for myself. Before i thought of simplifying, i just went ahead and got my like denominators. I got x^3 - 11x^2 + 39x - 45. I was stuck with a cubic num. and a cubic denom. I did this before he said to look for simplifications, lol. When I went back and rewrote the math problem, it was smooth sailing! 😎 Thank you so much, Brian!

This man is still doing math tutorials. 1.3 million subscribers on UA-cam for a math professor is absolutely insane.

Idk why but every time I see your videos and these equations It makes me miss doing problems and math tests. They were always hard but when I learned how to do equations and get good grades it made me feel accomplished and whatnot. Don't no why but I sorta miss it from time to time lol. Do I secretly like math..... 😅

Why does the domain of (5x-4)/(x-5) exclude 3? shouldn't it only be x does not equal 5 because it would be undefined or an asymptote. if x=3 then the value is -2.5

Hey! I am from 🇮🇳 . Currently studying in 10th grade. I looked at the question succeeded in solving it . However, it took me 2 min to think about its starting. But I began with the correct step.
After finishing its solution, I felt it was a piece of cake 😂
Thanks for bringing such a question.

He misspoke, he meant that -9x + -3x is -13x

You're talking too fast and not enunciating your words very well. Hard to follow.

i literally had the same thought watching this, and im english.
i thinks its more the excitement, like Brian is super excited to show us the solution. when you understand the maths its probably less of an issue. when you have no idea etc then the speed talking over takes and becomes more stressful to watch.
