Happy Brandt mentioned randomizers at the end. For me that really broke a bunch of patterns I was falling into that I didn't realize (only using certain modulars with certain villains, or avoiding some hero/aspect pairings).
The 12 games of christmas series is what got me using randomizers.

Thanks! That’s a good point. Sometimes you want to shake things up and spending more money to get more stuff isn’t always an option so it’s great theres just a whole host of ways to come at the game from different angles!

I took your challenge, Brandt, but I wasn't able to play them for free (yet) - I just couldn't get enough minions on the board against Mysterio (I tried pulling it off while also tackling the MCM challenge). I'll have to build a villain with more minions, maybe take it against Drang or Mutagen Formula to complete the challenge, but man it made for a very fun game! I'm using Adam Warlock, because I love playing him but haven't played him in probably over a year. Thanks for the great challenge suggestion!

Very cool! I'm starting to do a little more villain "kit bashing" with special rules. In my "Kit Bashing Klaw" video I gave the Rhino and Ultron minions (from City in Chaos modular set and Vision Hero pack, respectively) the Masters of Evil trait and Villainous - plus a couple extra special rules - so that you can play all of the core villains at once with Klaw. Fun times!

I started your perfect match up this week. I played Expert Ultron vs War Machine justice. There were times of fun and times of pain. If he can’t get the Shoulder Cannon out those drones are still tough to deal with. However, when it’s out it’s not a problem. First game I lost I got the bunker full of ammo but the shoulder cannon came late but almost was able to blast my way to victory before my inevitable loss.
Oh cool! Oof yeah expert Ultron is still pretty tough to this day imo lol. Without Shoulder Cannon War Machine is a shell of himself so I can see that being really rough 😬. Awesome that you still almost pulled it out though!
I am keeping myself busy with the perfect match-up from you in standard and expert and like to watch wreck ‘n rule for 4 player games

@@GetUpandGame there are allot of creators doing better jobs on the types of videos you already do With that attitude why should I watch you at all?
I have an excel document with a lot of different books. Most of them focus on the cards I’ve collected thus far, so you have one for the identities (and their cards), one for the scenarios (and their cards), one for modular sets, and then a bunch for every different type of player card (events, upgrades, supports, allies and resources). BUT the book that I use the most is my Solo Challenge grid, where I have all the heroes and villains i have so far on the first row and column respectively and i try to win every match. Right now there are 221 combinations I can do and I’ve won 209 out of those 😁 HOWEVER, not every hero is that powerful and not every villain is that easy SO sometimes sadly I have to win in skirmish difficulty, especially against Loki and Venom Goblin which are the toughest villains I’ve got (probably won’t be buying Galaxy’s Most Wanted any time soon 😂).
So that’s what I usually do when i play MC. Try to complete the grid and when I finish it, I start to play the villains in expert so that the grid becomes FULLY completed (right now my system is: one slash means beaten in Skirmish, a cross means Standard, and if the cell is full then I beat them in Expert
I am a completionist so that’s how I spent my days with Champions ❤ ✌️
Oh my gosh that’s so awesome! I always wanted to do that and I just never did. Part of me wants to “start over” and start working through something like that lol
I especially really appreciate how you keep track by difficulty and are using skirmish where necessary. Like you say some matchups aren’t great and that’s a great way to handle those!
@@GetUpandGame thanks Josh! 😊 id say it would be pretty difficult for you to start now since with all the heroes and villains, there are over 1500 combinations 😅 but hey never say never 😁
I am thinking of drawing up a custom scenario where, just like you and Brandt mentioned, there would be achievements, but I’m still working on the specifics of it. Basically, every type you defeat a unique minion, they would go to the Victory Display AKA The Raft, and to win you’d have to have all of them in the Raft before beating the villain. And if you beat the villain before that you could either remove an acceleration token from the main scheme OR remove all threat from it. You’d still lose by main scheme completion or hit points getting to zero.
When I have all those specifics established and that scenario created, where can i post it so that the MC fandom could see and maybe play it? Because I couldn’t find all the custom campaigns and scenarios other players have created so far… 😕
