The presentation is so interesting and easy to comprehend. Could you suggest for me some references that you used in this video? Thank you very much!

The primary reference that I use is my own experience of over 15 years as a Breast Sonographer (the things that I've seen and learned while scanning on the job)
Here are my most common secondary references that I use to pull information from:
      1. NCER (National Certification Exam Review). Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS). Breast Sonography. Sheryl Goss. 2009
      2. Diagnostic Imaging Breast. Berg, Birdwell. First Edition. 2006
      3. Breast Sonography. ESP, Inc. Joyce Grube. I have multiple versions of this. I probably refer to the 2008 version the most
      4. Breast Ultrasound. How, why and when. Anne-Marie Dixon. Elsevier. 2007
      5. Breast Ultrasound. A. Thomas Stavros. Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. 2004.
Hope this helps! Let me know if there's any other questions that I can answer.

      Thanks for valuable references!
For me, "sign of tumor Extension within duct" is new and interesting. Could you tell me exactly which reference mentions that ? I really want to study more about that.
However, I'm not sure if I understand rightly: " tumor Extension within duct" is still DCIS
Or It is the same meaning with " extensive intraductal component" (EIC - invasive carcinoma with associated DCIS).
Hope more explanation from you. Thank you very much!

Here are the references that do the best job of explaining it.
      1. Breast Ultrasound. A. Thomas Stavros. Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. 2004. (pgs 482-488)
      2. Breast Sonography. ESP, Inc. Joyce Grube. 2008. (pg 59)
The best way of thinking about this concept is that it's not about a specific pathology. It's a method of characterizing a tumor that's ductal in origin. It's important for prognostic reasons to determine if a tumor is spreading towards the nipple and in danger of, or already has invaded the nipple. Also important is that you must be scanning in a radial transducer orientation in order to view duct extension or branch pattern signs. Duct extension or branch pattern can be associated with any malignant ductal pathology (DCIS or IDC).
