Absolutely. An early sign of a psychopath is someone who hurts animals for no reason, or even worse "For fun". If a kid is hurting cats, dogs, etc there's a good chance that kid needs to see some professional help before they grow up and become a murderer.

I’m not sure what a farmer would have to gain from leaving two pigs in a field. Normally, farmers will try and nurse it back to health, to eventually butcher and sell. If they get sick, there are ways to put it down, certainly not just leaving it in the middle of a field. And not to mention having the equipment to be able to bury two dead pigs. Doesn’t add up

Ok welp in Logan's defense he's literally lived outside the u.s for almost 3 years.. and when you sell a pig to another person you unfortunately lose the ability to control what happens to that pig.
I think people are miserable and they see a dude down & are desperate to be able to throw one last kick to the groin to make themselves feel better about themselves. Logan's not a bad person. You guys are f*cked up for dragging Logan through the pig sh*t because his former pet he gave away was in bad shape.. that's like me giving you my goldfish. Logan moved and rehomed them to a ranch, the owner of that ranch said the pigs were basically dumped on him and he was doing the best he could but, in the transition of moving, the pigs escaped their pen and got lost. An other farmer was the one who found Pearl, who was alive, and Piggy Smalls, who was unfortunately dead due to being attacked by coyotes. The farmer kept Pearl for some time trying to find her a suitable home, and I assume during that time treated Pearl for a uterine infection, and eventually The Gentle Barn was called and they now have Pearl in their care.

You cant really predict or control what someone will do, and sometimes people seem reliable when really they arent. If you know the persons not gonna take care of it, then yes you're responsible, but if you genuinely thought they would take care of it and they seemed like a good pet owner, then it shouldn't be your fault. You’re giving a pet to a home, you shouldn’t need to do a full on detective investigation of the facility to make sure it’s perfect. I’m sure it seemed legit too because you typically have to sign a contract giving away ownership on top of making sure it’s vet bills are payed for. Not only that, but the new owner isn’t obligated to tell you the animal is deceased if it does pass away. Animals don’t have nearly the amount of rights people do, so comparing it to humans legitimately doesn’t work. I’m not gonna be arrested for manslaughter if I sell a pig to a farm and the pig dies.
