The only places worth living in Oslo are the highly expensive Frogner, St Hanshaugen, Majorstuen and then the lesser expensive but still expensive Torshov - Løren. Sofienberg/Tøyen might be OK but you are getting close to the center from the east which is not preferable. Other places are either not central enough for the price or too high crime, and in that case it's better to live centrally in places surrounding Oslo.

The designer of Bjørvika live in the Aker Brygge area and he self says that he wouldnt live there because of the noise and pollution. Not to mention many sports cars making lovely sport noises reving at night.
Some of the places he walks around is literally where the rich come in fancy cars to drop off their prostitutes😅 + the norwegian currency is getting devalued equal to or even faster than the housing market appreciates. Its been like this for the past 15years now😢 no idea why noone really ever thought about this
