Dinogon, the Triceramon: "TRI-HORNNO ATTACKKU!" Akagi, the MegaSeadramon: "SSUNNDDA JAVERIN!" Naomi, the Lilimon: "FROWWAA CANNON!" Leomon, the Boss: "JUUUOOOKEN!" Veedramon the Lackey: "VUEE-NOVAA!" ToyAgumon the Miniboss: "TOY FURAMME!!"
Major kudos to Kōji Yamada and Satoshi Ishikawa for composing one of the coolest boss themes in an underrated Digimon game. Thanks for the extended upload.
I would love to see a remastered version with some more digimon and a new game+ mode which features a distinct difficulty spike that pretty much requires Mega level digimon
Honestly? Yeah, if any of the original 3 world games needs a remake, it's this one. Much as I enjoy it still, I find myself fast forwarding through battles often because they're just. So. SLOOOOOW. 1st it has to announce what you're doing (attack/guard), then a two to three second pause, then they finally attack. Wouldn't it make more sense to have both prompts show up instead? Just saying, feel like the battle system could use a little fine tuning...and maybe reworking how leveling up works, or at least adding special DNA Digivolve options when you use the right Digimon.
@@WhiplashPuppet Also it should reduce the grind game, just leveling up alone is okay. But then you hit the level cap and must combine with another one to devolve and leveling back up again. This is too tedious, I was using fast level up cheat (1 battle = 1 level) and the rest of the game are fine for the most part.
I've been thinking the same I'd love to see one beautifully done. I remember when I bought "digimon cyber sleuth" and it was so meh, like don't get me wrong, the digimon 3d models and animations were very good....but the fighting and specially the VFX were so lackluster....(i blame the switch's hardware) but anyways the combat system wasn't too much of my likeness. Tho if I ever see a good remake of this one I hope they can rework a bit the battles, they felt great but them being soo slow was also one of the negative sides to it, on the long run the game felt awfully grindy, i couldn't bear too much with it until i ran it with an emulator to get the speed mode
If they ever make a remake of Digimon World 2, here are my expecrations: -Faster battles (this is the game's worst issue IMO) -More Digimon, at least as much as Digimon World Dawn/Dusk (397) would be nice, but if there are around what Cyber Sleuth Haker's Memory offered (around 342 after updates and DLCs) then ai'm fine. -Same Atribute/Type interaction as the Cybersleuth Dualogy. Combining the Atribute chart (Virus, Vaccine and Data) with a Type chart (Fire, Water, Wood, Elec, Wind, Earth, Holy and Darkness) was honestly pretty cool. -Make the domains look different. I'm fine with the dungeon crawling asoect of the game, but for god's sake, travesing dark cave for 60 hours got old fast, especially when I was grinding digimon. -Add some side Quests. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers on the DS had a near infinite amount of side quests that forced you to revisit old dungeon. There are very few incentive to revisit anythibg other that Core Tower, Chaos Tower and Tera Domain in the original game after defeating the final boss.
Hidden masterpiece in the huge surplus of the ps1 games catalog. I'm bummed out that we never got another game in same vain of World 2, rogue-like dungeon crawling with turn based combat. Cyber sleuth comes close but for me not as good. A guy can dream that we one day will get a remaster or remake, never gonna happen but who knows, crazier things have happened. Looking at you Dbz Sparking zero and Freedom wars remaster/remake.
this ost is so underrated its one of those ost's that works well with everything u do wither its buffing bombing assisting or plain attacks it just fits
Well it does have that similar feeling of hype except this sound more digital which fits while the other sounds like something from the 80’s (Jazz?) . I could imagine someone like Michael Jackson or the Beatles is playing the piano.
Para mi es El mejor de la franquicia y al que más le he dedicado no me importa que se aparte del concepto original ni que sea enormemente criticado por los "expertos". No hay fuerza que me haga cambiar de opinión en este respecto
> Release day. Sound Design Team: "What's that!? Who did that!? Programmers! No!! That was the MAIN BOSS THEME, why's it in the Tutorial!? Please don't tell me you made the Tutorial Boss Theme the main boss theme!"
Thanks to that stupud horn buster metal greymon, i now have a triceramon that spams horn buster also threw an icemon into the mix cause defensive ray is op as well
@@ValeriusWraith Could you please upload the original file(if you have it) somewhere, the quality from downloading and converting the video is questionable. I would be very grateful to you! 🙏
Needs a full retry, disrespectful to the original, not a "remake" but a "Retry", straight take the idea and do it over without using any of the original material
It would have been a much better game if it wasn't for the forced grinding. How many times did I have to DNA my Digimons back to Rookie/Champion and redo the training all over again, just so my Digimon could reach 3 levels higher than my previous?
@@NeoArashi .......Ugh, I agree, that was easily the main problem that prevented me from playing the game when I was younger. I don't mind grinding in games, but the way they worked it into this game was just too much and made it feel tedious, especially with your relatively limited options to befriend early on, both because you can only easily get the items for the type the guard team you joined specializes in AND also because they restrict what Digimon you can DNA digivolve with until you get to device dome
There was never any reason for the tutorial boss music to go this hard but I'm glad it did.
Beyond last boss music. Concentration skyrockets with this banger.

There are some pretty good rom mods that do alot for the original release.

I used to hear these digimon say the weirdest shit when attacking: “awitaconfyahhh!!!”, “lethalweaponattack!”, “hyunnnnnnnnn!”, “darkvinggggg!!”
God, how much do I love this theme. This makes me digivolve lifting weights in the gym.

When I was younger I thought that only me enjoyed this game and its ost! The best of whole its OST is battle Guardians theme.
Sad thing about Megadramon: He was mostly censored from the anime because of 9/11, where Megadramon would destroy a skyscraper.
this is my favorite boss music of DW2 thanks for uploading
+Bruce Garant Be sure to also listen "Core Tower" another of my personal favorites.
mine too, mastertyrannomon is my favorite whats yours?
Metalseadramon, I love that Digimon
Maybe just slightly, but: this music reminds me "Force your Way" from Final Fantasy 8
