I wouldn't say the music is too loud, it plays at a comfortable level on the tablet I'm using right now. Your voice is too low though, very hard to make out over the music.
I’d suggest a few more songs from the same concert: Dark Chest Of Wonders (The perfect opening) Ghost River Ever Dream I Want My Tears Back (Troy!) Bless The Child (barely anyone reacts to this song, but it’s just so incredibly good!) Last Ride Of The Day
Okay 80,000+ thousand at the gig... so if only half were hitting on the beat, the clap-back sonic's from the crowd would hit on the upbeat... when you said they were losing it... I think it was the mic's picking up too many of the clap-backs and stomps creating too many sound bounce waves. Tuomas is a master of themes and variations. They are also very good at moving from 4/4 to 7/4 and back seamlessly. The thing so many people miss is all the ghost beats from Jukka on the drums. And at the end they drop a beat each time until the last then drop 2. Love this concert... also knowing that Floor, the singer, had not yet been with the band a full year when this concert took place and nailed it. She learned all of this while on tour during travel and sound checks.
Maybe pausing whenever you want to say something, then rewind a few seconds and hit play again is an idea? Or just lower the song’s audio whenever you talk. Just don’t pause in the middle of the singing or a solo lol
Nice reaction! This was the song that was immediately after GLS. Most of the lyrics for this song where taken from the lengthy poem 'Song of Myself' by the American Poet Laureate, Walt Whitman, circa 1892.
Unusually sharp reaction - well done ! When analyzing the rhythmic accuracy of the audience, keep in mind that with a crowd of 82,000, there is significant delay between the time that the music leaves the stage, the music reaches the back of the field, and the clapping (in time with what the individual audience members are hearing) makes its way back to the stage. Sound only travels so fast; can't disregard physics ! (MAKE AMERICA NIGHTWISH)
I love this song a lot, defenitely one of my favorite. Specially the ending with the fire is awesome. And Floor Marco duet so great, they are just unbeatable duo. Thanks a lot of yr reaction allthough I didn't hear everything you were saying. But I could see you liked it as well 🤘👍 This song also always reminds me of our dear NW fan Ann Waychoff, who pass away while ago. This was also her favorite song. RIP Ann, we NW fans miss you dearly ❣️
You can never expect the expected with Nightwish. Toumas is a genius, the rest of guys and Floor are such great musicians they like to play, refine, and make each song interesting with how it will be played and sung. So good!
Not many reactors (almost none in fact) appear to notice let alone comment on that strategic, pattern-breaking pregnant pause before the last flamethrower burst. It's my favorite part of the song that puts the cherry on top! Kudos for appreciating it so much. /// On a different topic, the strings are not synthesizer. It is backing tracks recorded in-studio by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, yes, the real one.
I'd recommend Ever Dream and Storytime next, from this same concert. Ever Dream is a bit more pop sounding (still heavy, but more commercially viable). It showcases Floor's ability to get up into the higher registers, and just live there, lol. Marko also adds a support vocal that shows he's got some pipes too. the rise and fall is also incredible.. how they tear the song down, then build it back up to a peak. Storytime is classic Nightwish with Disney themes, rock aesthetic, and Floor going full-on classical/ operatic at the bridge. Both are a lot of fun...
From the smile on your face I would say you either liked it quite a bit or you thought it was very funny. I guess after listening to your analysis the answer is, Yes you did enjoy this one. Happy to hear it! Music is never too loud, but you were a little to low to hear your comments during the video. Well done my friend. Peace.
You can take breaks when commenting - easier to hear what you have to say. Expecially for us who don't have English as a 1st language. It's bad enough if someone speed, stutters, blurs, mutters or eats something while speaking, but here the music rolls over your voice.
Tom...Great epilogue, of your reaction. Couldn't hear much of what you were saying. Almost visually looked like you reluctantly enjoying it. A drummer reactor mentioned that he thought Jukka ( NW drummer ) was playing 4/4 and 7/4 Did you hear that ? It's okay to pause and comment, backtrack a sec or two when you restart. Feels less choppy that way.Glad you revisited to re comment on some parts. Thanks !
The music is not too loud. However, I understood a total of about 5 words.... heard "half-time" several times and something that sounded like "ending". All in all, one of your better reactions. 😁
Well, the strings aren't "synthy", if I heard you right, unless you consider the digitisation of The London Symphonic Orchestra "synthy". . . . . . . . Yeh, you need your mic up a bit, or pause for comment and use a back arrow 5sec rewind facility to keep the flow. Good stuff all the same!
Based on what I think your preferences are... (forgiev if am wrong) I think you will like Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean - Live In Buenos Aires (OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO) And yeah I would love to hear your comments a lit bit better as well
Hard to hear your comments (duh over Floor is that a shock). Suggestion either lower the song volume when you make a comment or stop, comment and then do a 5/10 sec rewind to go back to cover the pause. In any event love the reaction and you could do a course on this entire concert that night as all 15 songs were done in legendary form as the band was truly locked in all night. Floor well this was her coming out party in front of 80,000+ fans and she was not going to disappoint!!!
Great analysis. Nightwish kinda rules at being different. Rest assured that every note, drumbeat and time change was carefully planned by Tuomas and faithfully executed by the band. This song really shows the tightness of this epic group. Also, my car stereo is 4800 watts driving 2x15" and 4x8" subs and it still isn't loud enough, so crank it up! However, your mic level was a little too low :)
Do the whole concert, please! Nightwish Live at Wacken Open Air 2013 Correct speed - FullHD - Remastered ( ua-cam.com/video/cAwtzi7Q3Bk/v-deo.html ) Setlist: 1. Dark Chest of Wonders, 2. Welcome to the world of Symphonic Metal! Yeah, your audio was too low to fully hear, but going back to analyze it you sounded much better and we learned a lot about the break down of the music. Great Reaction. You should watch all of the songs played at this concert (Wacken 2013). They are all very good and actually sound better than studio cuts especially for an outdoor setting with 82,000 fans . The keyboard player composes and writes the lyrics to about 90% of their songs. A lot of their songs are epic stories with many transitions throughout that sound like chapters in a book or a movie score. The Poet and the Pendulum from Wembley 2016 ua-cam.com/video/iEzZRMthhXU/v-deo.html is a good one along with Greatest Show on Earth live from Tempere 2019 ua-cam.com/video/bl6lUfIMkGM/v-deo.html . Both of these are recommended after you've checked out more of their other songs. Both are also epic and long ones (20 minutes each). I Want my Tears Back Live from Buenos Aires 2019 ua-cam.com/video/TBOdgxjb0kM/v-deo.html is a great one to see them all having a really good time and fan participation. Floor Jansen (Yansen) is the 3rd singer to join back in 2013 and only was with them for 10 months prior to the 2013 concert. She had to learn the setlist in 48 hours before touring began. You can check out the previous singers but Floor is my favorite and her emotional performances and siren-like quality and Valkyrie stage presence moves me to tears (called a Floorgasm) on many of their songs. Hope you continue this journey, you will not be disappointed!

This song has a really addicting "chug". I could listen to it for hours.
And it announces alone the entry to the second half - a real chilster
The cosmetic products on top of the chest of drawers break up the beautiful decoration of the room. Just a personal appreciation.
Thank you, great reaction! More NW, please!!
We miss you Ann.♥️🌹All the new Reactors, dont know you. 😓😓😓
One of the better songs. Specially live.
You should do “Yours is an empty hope “ live from Wembley 2015. Its awesome and Floor in full power.

I mean in a crowd of that size it takes something like .4 seconds for the sound of the claps from the back to reach the front.
