Remember to subscribe comment even if it's just to say hi. And hit that thumbs up button. I appreciate it. You guys are awesome enjoy your sunday.
@@ATAP...AnotherTime and I just subbed under my normal UA-cam lol so technically ya got 2 subs outta me 😂 godbless stay safe!!!! (I'm the same guy from the original comment)
It would be nice to put on some coffee and do some biscuits on the stove for the start of the morning...just a thought..thank you for sharing..have a great New Year..
I have to figure out how to make bread. Or? Biscuits, I need to get the right kind of Pan. Or something I don't know. Biscuits sausage and gravy..... Good. Cup of coffee sounds perfect. Happy new year my friend...
Great video again Martin, and sunset and sunrise amazing. Definitely 100% would prefer travelling to work by boat, as roads here in the uk are heaving every day 😢. Hi to River and Cricket also. Think he was checking the shopping, to see if you brought him something back 😂. Till next week 👍
I did rebuilds with a flipper for a few years. Enough to learn 85% of how to do all that stuff on my own house. Saved a lot of money over the years doing my own work on stuff. Great video Martin!
I don't know if it was on youtube or instagram but I saw you're doing work on your boat right now... Very few people have the guts to cut into the top fiber glass. Like you do good job, my friend... You guys look like you're having fun down there. Quiet little harbor it looks like.
@ATAP...AnotherTime turner marine has been a great spot to work. They've let us use their shop and a few tools (drillpress for the grab rails, excellent!) The recore is some for rot but mostly a solid base for the rails to get mounted.
Another enjoyable video Martin! Hope you had a nice Christmas, and just want to wish you a prosperous, healthy, and stress-free 2025! Give River and Cricket a scratch behind the ears for me! -Doug
02:18 That answer is a resounding NO...!!! from my perspective of it. Lets really look at that question you have zero traffic (well maybe "River" getting in the way before you leave or a pelican flock, or perhaps a floating log...LOL) and the views are certainly much better...I may have asked you before Martin, not sure, but is there a need for what some would call "high end" carpentry and stone work down there? I mean in the traditional context like dry laid stone foundations and timber frame homes and/or additions?
I will keep an eye out if there's any positions like that around. I will definitely point it out to you. I really appreciate you. Taking the time to comment enjoying me on my morning commute, my friend. Thanks bud
@@ATAP...AnotherTime Hey Martin, not sure if you have yet (I looked) but shoot me an email sometime with your number and a time to chat. I'm thinking, for at least part of each year if possible, to perhaps live in your area seasonally while I travel the rest of the time. My goal, actually, is to find someone like you, with the skills you have, to "front" a small natural and traditional (seasonal!) bespoke and specialized service in traditional stone and woodworking, or perhaps replication of a houseboat like your's yet a bit larger, and with the refinements you would find in some of the European and Asian houseboats from a century ago, in concert with boathouses, and related rural traditional archtiecture that are quickly growing in popularity with retires and homesteaders. Worse case, I'm hoping to build another traditional houseboat in the next year or so for retirement and rent it out while traveling, assuming you would not mind a respectful neighbor...LOL!!!...If you haven't, look at my online references for examples of the work I do. This restaurant project I'm on is wrapping up in the next six months and I hope to be out by fall 2025...
There are many places where the sheen on the water is natural. It's not always a man-made issue. The mud and soil can cause a sheen that looks like it's hydrocarbon.
Its gonna be doing this or head for the desert. I dont know which yet. The desert will be the last resort. But this old soldier has to find an escape or my country is going to take me out. Hell it pretty much has already. I have always been the, "it will work itself out" kinda guy. Now all I ask for is a place to stay in my camper till I can get a boat built or find a couple acres that nobody else wants to try live on.
The beginning of this channel was me staying in the desert with my R. V. There's a lot of good information there about where I went and where it's great to stay for free. Also I bought very cheap land to put my R. V on parts of Tennessee still have that. Where it's on incorporated and you can live in an R. V. However, staying at a Marina on a boat is relatively cheap. Kind of life or just on the hook like me.
Average water flow at high water, so it does not include flooding. There. 'S.A. Very defined line along the shore. Where the beach has eroded away about 12 inches from the grass. That's typically the mark. In most cases, the beach is actually part of the water.
He is an australian cattle dog, The coloring he has is blue healer... You'. Re right his name is river. I named him after the missouri river where I bought him. I appreciate you watching thank you

I have done that many times, so satisfying to see a disaster turn into a masterpiece. I can drywall, mud and paint if anyone needs it.
Sometimes ripping it all out is the best way to go... 👍. Ill,
Mention you to the boss man when it comes to paint and drywall.
Stay safe guys...

That's awesome. It's good to know. I'm glad There's a natural cause for that type of thing.

What does TN consider the high water mark to be? Is it to the highest flood mark or is it where there’s a beach?
Average water flow at high water, so it does not include flooding. There.
'S.A. Very defined line along the shore. Where the beach has eroded away about 12 inches from the grass. That's typically the mark. In most cases, the beach is actually part of the water.
