Blackpool's line up is pretty good however some attractions do need to be replaced. Don't get me wrong some wooden coasters are great and I have had many moments like you had. Nether a less in the future they need to update with more modern attractions like icon.
I'm convinced people play up how rough and bumpy rides are. The only ride that's ever made me need to sit down for a good while is Icon ironically. Grand national is the bumpiest I've been on though. I think I was dehydrated so Icon made me dizzy as hell. The Smiler I could have done again if it weren't the end of the day and found that to be really smooth... maybe I'm too short for this supposed "head banging" I hear people talk about.
I went on Rita! It’s amazing! So fun! :) I defiantly recommend! I also went on hero! It’s not the worst..it’s the whole apart of the ride..it’s supposed to have loops and turns!
Ngl rita has got some good monents and if you are new to towers I deafiently recommend giving it a ride. Also I have only done one ride on hero so maybe the second time is different. I appricate your opinion though and glad you commented it :)
i was considering going on infusion because I loved kamali at flamingo land and I'm fairly small so the restraints weren't bad at all. But hero, my knees were soo sore on the lift.
Infusion is quite similar to Kumali however I think it’s a bit worth so you didn’t miss out on a lot and I totally agree with you about hero, my knees were hurting so bad 😂
Kumali was a lot more rough than infusion it’s safe to say that I’m not a big fan of SLC’s With hero I came off the ride with aches and pains everywhere and Big Dipper I came off with a bruise on my knee

Hello There, great video, it was food to hear your perspective on it. Thank you for doing this, I think the seating positions and crucially the time of day as well as the operations can certainly change your perspecitve and experience on these attractions. Cheers Peter :)
Hello, thank you very much and I’m glad you enjoyed the video 👍. I do agree with you as well because the seat that you sit in can make or break a ride as well as the time of day making a difference when it comes to speed.
I used to love the grand international until I nearly feel off! My lap bar had lifted up and I had to physically pull myself in, I came off the ride crying which is very rare for me to do! They shut the ride for a while but shortly reopened for some reason, lap bar was very loose and rattling! X
I went on infusion when it was at Southport as the trauma tizer because it was a quiet day we went on it four times. I found King Solomon's mines at Southport much worse.
King Solomon's Mines was an absolute rickety bone-breaker when I was a kid. Wildcat was also not much better and people getting stuck on the ride for hours and having to be rescued by the Fire Service happened multiple times just from the days I visited! These things weren't as reported then even in local news as they are now. Also Tiamat forbid Camelot had some extremely janky rides, ironically especially the childrens' atttractions. Pendragon's Plunge was an incredibly poorly-maintained dinghy slide set which was extremely easy to hit your head on, I know I did, as well as the unpleasant if safer experience of getting covered in stagnant swampy water. I'm really not nostalgic for the early-mid 2000s UK amusement parks at all! It's a consistent miracle more people weren't hurt with the incredibly lax attitudes to maintenance, safety and ride operation quality.
As someone who has recently been on hero, I can agree that it one of the worst experiences I had. I’m fairly thin and I sat on the left most section and I came on with bruises on my hips 😂
As someone who's home park is brighton pier, i can say that turbo is one of the worst rides ive ever riden. My first time riding it on the second bank turn i was slammed into the back of my seat, causing my back to be sore for the rest of the week.
I love Rita went on it 4 times and honestly it's so underrated 😭 ig it's not comoarable to other rides sure but if you are starting to get into launching coaster or want to go onbcoaster that is not as rough bc you're scared i really recommend starting with Rita!
He said colossus at Thorpe park That’s my second fav ride there lol although your head rocks about and you can catch your ear on the side I loved it because the loops were amazing and rattle snake I don’t think is that bad sure you get whipped around corners but it a one in a life time opitunity
I’m sorry about that lol 😂, I understand what you mean about Colossus layout as apart from the roughness the rest of it is really good. It is the same really with rattle snake but I personally believe due to It being rough it is not as good 🤔
I had a feeling Colossus would be on the list. From my own experience the seats are so uncomfortable and the restraint requires some effort to get the seatbelt on.
Thank you, colossus definitely is a bad coaster. I do agree with you as well when it comes to chessington and legoland as most of the rides there it depends what mood your in 👍😂
Tbh hero is pretty rough and hasn't got that many good elements, but I still enjoy it and it is one of my little sisters favourite rides. Its way better on the inside seat so definitely sit there

Yea, it really matters about your pain threshold on that ride as lots of people hate it but there are also quite a few including myself who doesn’t mind it.
I think my list would be: Hero @ Flamingo Land (Never been on it, never want to) Grand National @ Blackpool (I sat in the back, thought I was going to die) Colossus @ Thorpe Park (I don't find it that rough, but I find the trains too small and I get cramp in my legs EVERY time I ride) Saw @ Thorpe Park (Used to be great. Now unbelievably rough. I feel like my head is being rattled through the whole thing) Dinosaur Valley @ Wicksteed Park (Just crap. Awful restraints. Tiny cars. Pain pain pain) Big Dipper @ Blackpool (It's rough like you said) Infusion @ Blackpool (It's crap, but I don't totally hate it as much as some people) Rattlesnake @ Chessington (I generally hate these wild mouse type rides and this was no exception) Air @ Alton Towers (The posterboy for why a business model of getting the first-of-its-kind coasters doesn't pan out well in the long run. It's the first flying coaster, and the worst flying coaster... just doesn't do anything. Bonus points for additional crapness when VR is attached) Thirteen @ Alton Towers (I mean it's ok, but built as a secret weapon when in reality it's just a family coaster which is kinda boring once you've experienced the drop track once) The last two are harsh but I don't think they live up to expectations as a pillar of Alton Towers' coaster lineup. Thankfully they went away from the whole 'worlds first' policy when they build Wicker Man and just went for a quality woodie. Hopefully they continue down that line in the future :)
Personally I think Vampire should be on the list. The restraints on that ride are so uncomfortable, I don't know what Vekoma was thinking. They should've kept the old Arrow trains considerably they had actual vampires on them. I can't remember if I got any headbanging but I know the restraints were bulky & hard. Colossus was so painful that the last time I went on, I got insane cramp in my legs. The headbanging was minimal, but the legroom is so bad. Rita should get new softer shoulder restraints like the ones on Maverick & Storm Runner, & not lap bars for safety reasons considering the turn after the launch is quite sharp. Also, Grand National is my worst coaster, in fact, by the time I got off, I was convinced I had bruised by butt. That was back in 2019
I’m in Blackpool rn how ironic lol but personally I love the Big Dipper me and my dad always go on it if we go to pleaser beach we wrote our initials in the back cart

Gotta say infusion is hit or miss, went on it twice in one visit to the pleasure beach, first time was smooth and real fun, second i got thrashed around something awful. Maybe it depends where you sit?
I hate hero, I went on it the first time and almost cried the whole way through and it felt like my legs were slipping and I was hanging on for my life
I’ve been on all of these except turbo the ultimate and hero. I might give turbo and the ultimate a go but I’m not doing hero also I love how he makes the video dramatic
I completely disagree with collosus, to be honest the first time i went it was a bit uncomfortable but it was never too painful and its a very fun ride (it did break down the day after though) and the second time very recently It was actually very smooth and i ddint experience any discomfort, I would definitely go on it, it was one of my favourite rides there tbh
Right ur opinion is yours but rita colossas are classics and are not bad i think that u just get sick easy espacialy if u think rita is bad love how u havent put the big one on here or shock wave at dratain maner

It's true number one because my mam and auntie and consin went on it and when they came of they all said " I FELT I WANNA GONNA FALL OUT"
I was holding on for my life and my feet kept coming off the ladder
I absolutely love 3 rides that r on your list the ultimate it was fantastic it was smooth I like steeple chase and grand national
Gotta say infusion is hit or miss, went on it twice in one visit to the pleasure beach, first time was smooth and real fun, second i got thrashed around something awful. Maybe it depends where you sit?
I actually don’t mind hero. I think the fact that it’s the worst coaster around makes it a must ride 😂😂
I’m at flamingo right now
I hope you had an absolutely amazing visit
I hate hero, I went on it the first time and almost cried the whole way through and it felt like my legs were slipping and I was hanging on for my life
I really don’t like hero either. It doesn’t sound like you had a very fun experience though as it does feel unsafe
Please don’t speed up the povs it is not that good
i went on hero last friday
1 word to describe it
PAINFUL
I went on hero and I loved it but I can relate to feeling like I was falling out my cart but otherwise it was great
My top uk coasters are 10. Nemesis inferno 9. Galactica 8. Revolution 7. Rita 6. Saw the ride 5. Stealth 4. The smiler 3. Nemesis 2. Icon 1 swarm
Steeplechase is jjust fine for me it didn't jolt at all!
I instantly regretted putting that on the list after riding it a few weeks back so I know what you mean
@@ThemeParkCoastin it's bad but I find it hilarious at those sudden breaks
Colossus better be on this
I’ve been on hero it’s bumpy but fun it’s not bad
Lots of people have commented and said it wasn’t that bad so maybe I was wrong about hero. I will need to head back and ride it again 👍
I’ve been on all of these except turbo the ultimate and hero. I might give turbo and the ultimate a go but I’m not doing hero also I love how he makes the video dramatic
What’s all the hate on colossus? It was one of my favorite rides when I went
In my opinion colossus is really jerky and for the 1hr or so queue I just don’t think it is worth it.
@@ThemeParkCoastin fair enough I had a 2hr queue when I went but I got a good row so I didn’t find it very rough
And the hate for rattle snake
I completely disagree with collosus, to be honest the first time i went it was a bit uncomfortable but it was never too painful and its a very fun ride (it did break down the day after though) and the second time very recently It was actually very smooth and i ddint experience any discomfort, I would definitely go on it, it was one of my favourite rides there tbh
Right ur opinion is yours but rita colossas are classics and are not bad i think that u just get sick easy espacialy if u think rita is bad love how u havent put the big one on here or shock wave at dratain maner
Thank you and I have learned from making this video that there is a lot of different opinions to do with those rides and maybe I do just get sick easier than others 🤣
Ye but yet again that my opinion 😂😂
Yea and I respect that 😂
I went on hero with my cousin last weekend and we nearly fell out and I couldn’t feel the strap that sits at the back of you sooo yeah
tbh steeplechase and the woodies at bpb are fairly good, they've been retracked :)
yeah i found grand national quite smooth
Steeplechase doesn't deserve to be on this list. Last one in the world. Classic ride.
Steeplechase is such a good ride, but I know many people find it rough so I had to put it on the list :)
