Drayton manor holds a special place in my heart, troublesome trucks was my first real coaster (wacky worm was my first) and shockwave was my first extreme coaster

Went here for the November Fireworks last year. Met TPW & it made my day. The Zero G roll on shockwave is some out of body experience sensation, I really can't find a parallel element or similar feel on any other coaster. Wish I could've gone on G-Force when that was still there.

I remember going on buffalo when I was two . And going over the water I was frightened going over the water because I was afraid that I was going to fall of and go in the water 😂 plus I always found it to be very fast but now that I see it now I feel embarrassed 😂

Troublesome Trucks is surprisingly fast 😂, it gets me everytime and feels such a sudden stop
Troublesome trucks was my first ever ride!
Why does Shockwave have such sharp brakes? Got to be the most sudden stop of all UK coasters.
There are a few reasons why:
a) ShockWave does not feature a 'true' brake run. The long straight before the brakes was originally designed to be the brake run however some design issues lead to it remaining inside the station
b) Shockwave was Intamins first stand up coaster, so it was not as refined as some of the coasters we see today which have had decades of optimising
In the October 2021 season, I visited Drayton Manor and noticed a few changes with the brakes. The ride was shut numerous times in the day due to issues with them becoming stuck and making horrible sounds.

Yes quadriple onride povs awesome onride footage Shawn, these little family quirky rollercoasters are quite fun for a more fun chilled out experience however as a former ride enthusiast I love the more both Flat, fast intense spinning bigger rides with airtime barrells corkscrews so more to list, Ive never actually been to Drayton Manor b4, these rides look like great fun but the questions is are these rides comfortable especially the first one? Drayton Manor i love it as a kid. I did live in Bedworth so it was not what far away from me

I haven't been to Drayton Manor in many, many years, but i thought it had a few bigger coasters these days. I lived in the Midlands for 11 years, but that was back when the West Midlands Safari Park had The Cobra!!

Accelerator has got to be my fave ride
I can’t tell you how many times I went on that as a kid. I knew it best as the Ben 10 coaster and even if they lost the license that’s still what I call it.

I loved the Ben 10 coaster and I often went on the buffalo one. Sadly I never went on G-Force and I won’t be able to experience standing up Shockwave.

EY, me and my family was thinking about going to draton over spring or summer break, would you recommend it?
If you’re with younger kids then yes it’s a definite must, however alton towers is (at least for me me) only 30 minutes further away than drayton manor so i’d say it depends
as someone who lives nearby it, I highly recommend it. you've got kids rides, family rides and even thrill rides like shock wave, maestrom(gyro swing), apocalypse (drop tower with stand up and sit down options) and much more
and don't forget the zoo

Tbh Drayton manor will always be a good theme park but they need to update the park put new rollercoaster in there not enough

Interesting to say, Drayton Park has 4 roller coasters. I would say 4 of these coasters are very fun to ride honestly. Especially Shockwave which is a thrill ride at the park.

It wasn’t called accelerator when I went on it it was called Ben 10
It was a sad day when the old owners the Bryant s sold it. They seemed to no wat rides people wanted an worked .I built appocalypse,golden nuggets, cinema storm force ,and built a few houses for the staff who worked their 4 years.ow and in the lion pen the big rocks u see are mounds of dirt with steel placed over then concreted.i also helped do the parrot walk .and I was there an helped build the home for the first tapira.i loved working at Drayton manor park.the old owners were very posh but treated u nice.cnt believe it's been 22 years since appocalypse was erected.i was 18 then
