Love the new Weakest Link! The remix give it a fresh feeling while still giving me the good vibes from when I was 13 watching the original Anne Robinson run. Weakest Link is among my favorite when it comes to music cues.

The original version of the OST was definitely the one in my mind since childhood. This remake adds articulation, enriching its coolness and grandness. For the question bed, I like that it now completes the sense of urgency, beginning with four ticks per beat at 60 and later having another layer of eight ticks per beat. Overall, I am really impressed with this new remake for 2020!

One of the soundtracks, “Head to head,” has been stuck on our heads for almost the entire time while we visited an arcade not too long ago.
I'm not gonna lie, most of the time people wish for the old themes, but your themes always make that different.

@@paulfarrer2720 Yes. Please! All the cues would be awesome! Weakest Link is so awesome and I'm still hoping to be a contestant. I applied well in advance this time for the upcoming season and did not too bad in both the regular interview and the trivia interview. Got some right, got some wrong.
The Celebration Sting almost sounds like it's for a news music package! Great job revitalizing these themes, amazing sound design work and lovely orchestration.

I need to get to start watching the weakest link again soon! I got to say, this new music is just great! To describe it in my opinion, it's like the original, but it's more of a combination affect between intense and scarier. And some of the cues (maybe all of them) have spurts of gothic background to the music. I just love it, and just love the show too. Thanks Paul for uploading!

Overall a good premiere. Music is relatively the same. I was worried about the penalty shootout theme being changed but it was just right. The rules are mostly the same as well. Jane just needs to maybe wait for the contestants to say their vote first rather than say the statistics of the round and then vote. Im not a big fan of the bank button imo. Also no final round where money could be doubled instead its straight to the penalty shootout after the voting. Jane is a good hostess choice. Overall 7.5/10. Will watch again.
The one rule I hated was you have to wait until she finishes to answer a question.

the production team need lots of improvement and something really disappointing a lot,
Camera,whole show flow and Jane should ignore the camera don't pretend you act in front of the camera.Is something un-natral at all...
My whole suggestion for them please revise the BBC Production Bible again and strictly follow some basic pattern instead keep on changing...
Some rules I hate much is why i need to know other reaction after the person got stunned the question or vote out.
They can do it before voting.I don't need to know others facial expression!
The Timer can be disappear on the screen in tyical round,that mean they need us to guess how much time on each round?
Chain value increase each round adding nothing to the show,if the contestant is bad enough,increase that didn't mean they can earn more.also it just encorage people to bank the less amount of money (that is how WWTBM weakness)
Banking rules is the most annoying part.who think this BS about doing press button and say bank,why not just one or the other?
all over the world the rules never change a lot even the worst version also.
If you apply new thing like this,remeber that this is not "the Chaser" GAME...Is "The Weakest Link!"

it only include some clock ticking(especially on US version bed.)
Also original Shooting angle never will swift the camera when the person is answering the question(remember I'm said that swift was on the person answering the question,)

Yeah I’m always terrified of boring everyone to death with EVERY cue. I had loads of fun revisiting my original tracks from 20 years ago but I don’t think anyone wants to hear every little bit I created for the reboot.

@@paulfarrer2720 i listen almost everyday our penalty shootout (original and now the news version) since i discover the show when i was child, that help me to steep or feel better when i’m sad, So yes i,m keep follow your work and hope one day your will release (Free or not i dont mind) all full tracks of WL, for some people like me, music is more that ‘music’. believe me bro, once you publish all the remake music tracks but in full length... all of us will be more than glad to listen, you won't be boring us, the opposite , your loyal audience and fans are asking for that , its such a great appreciation we feel toward you who is genius and talented composer for us. I remember when I first saw the Weakest Link on NBC back in the early 21st century. Anne Robinson was the host. What I didn't know is that she hosted the show in the UK where it originally from. Out of all the hosts on the Weakest Link, Anne Robinson is the best.

@Char89Charizard I believe it only lasted a couple of years in the US whereas she hosted it for 12 years in the UK. I don't know if you've seen any of the UK versions but as the years go on she actually smiles and jokes a lot more and even almost flirts with some of them, she's still mean to the contestants but it became more light hearted

Impressive as always. Fantastic remake of the original music. Keeps the drama and tension but does it in its own way. Admittedly I was a little worried about a remake of the Walk of Shame, but it's actually just perfect. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised.
You are the man, Paul. I loved "Weakest Link" as a kid and I love hearing your new music track now. I wish you did more work in the US - some of our newer game shows could've benefitted from a better score!
Imagine the revised The Chase US with the original soundtrack. That would be awesome.

Intro sequence sounds a bit off to me. Apart from that, it's a good remake of the soundtrack.
I love how you've transformed the Chat Bubbles and Walk of Shame. So damn intense and ethereal.
I'm not sure if the BBC have adopted the Chat Bubbles in this video as I couldn't hear it on the TV, or maybe they're playing it too quietly.
Yeah they are defo playing it too quietly. What's the point in even playing it I wonder half the time if cannot hear it properly. I hope season 2 they change it make it more tense

Before "Weakest Link" in Russia was rebranded and changed its name and soundtrack I remember how with such calm music host would like strict teacher talk towards students with stone face. When watching modern English versions I honestly don't feel that snarkiness in hosts. Even tho now in our country we won't hear it in show directly, thanks for making such OST

No reason why it couldn’t come back to the UK. Perhaps ask the BBC

@@paulfarrer2720 Жалко конечно, программа легендарная. У нас в России ведёт одна и таже легендарная ведущая Мария Кисилёва, саундтрек офигенный, заставка в HD качестве но немного отличается от 2000-х. Но всё равно вам спасибо, если бы не вы, то программы бы небыло.

I was the host for the 5 episodes of this show in my school, that was a little long ago heheh
Even I knew no one outside the auditorium was gonna watch the final edited episode I enjoyed it as if it was going to be broadcasted (The Teacher's day special was my favorite XD)

Paul, I just watched the first episode of CBS's 2020 series, and they didn't even list you in the closing titles. A tad naughty, that. They listed the crane operators, best boys, and grips, but not talent who composed the score.
I love this so much, but where is the sudden death music? That's the best music in the 2020 NBC Version!

It's 20 years since this was first aired on UK television, but quite frankly, if we ever rebooted it, I don't know who we could get in to replace the undisputed Queen of Mean Anne Robinson.
One person comes to mind...The Governess herself - Anne Hegerty.

Pretty much. I’ve made a few tweaks and changes but nothing major has changed.

Yes
The revival is much better than the original. The new graphics even show the question at the bottom of the screen so that home audiences can play along.
That is a nice touch, though hiding the game clock during the round seems questionable.

Мария Кисилёва отлично вела программу и всем нравилось. А теперь программа закрылась. Жаль что Слабое Звено больше никогда не выйдет. Я надеюсь что все таки она выйдет в России, я в это сильно верю.

@@MusGonnaCall Yeah, I could see why a musician would do that. But I've actually seen a clip from the new Weakest Link over in the US (I'll find and send a link, no pun intended), and the background music sounds really different to the classic background music.

It's a reboot of The Weakest Link, it's like when Dancing on Ice came back and the other soundtrack was created.

actually I don't want the jitter/sfx and heartbeat insider the question bed,is quite annoying and disturbing when watching the show.
When some country version using that version (with BBC adding the heartbeat in the original question bed) is just ruined how the original question bed created the intense atmosphere. It's not really adding value,I voice many time I hate about that.
Overall the whole new mix is not bad,but somehow not have same impact like original OST.
The original OST score really a top notch even on today standard.just some of the revamp music not fit the reboot so well...
I live to annoy and disturb people. So job done.
