A huge thanks once again to the lads over a HD Movie Source for helping me out with some of these releases. Punisher War Zone is an underrated gem in my opinion. I preferred it to the first one.
It was such a pleasant surprise. It was a bit of a gamble but thankfully it paid off.
I saw Punisher: War Zone in the cinema 3 times, awesome comic book movie with great villains. I noticed the actor Dominic West who plays Jigsaw, has been in some Nationwide adverts on tv recently 😁
He's one of those faces that I recognise but for the life of me I could not place him in a movie. I thought he was fantastic as jigsaw. This one was a real surprise. Thankfully the gamble payed off

I had no idea criterion actually brought out RoboCop. That is definitely a first for me. It's a great movie. It is horribly brutal. But I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you as always for stopping by
Keith, a couple 4k's I'd recommend as they look absolutely stunning is Matinee, The Case of the Bloody Iris, and Cry Baby.
Yeah I have my eye on matinee. Cry Baby I didn't particularly enjoy the movie. The other one I never heard of but I will check it out and see. Thanks for the heads up Frank

Agree re robocop - I thought it looked great. Have Robocop 2 on route - haven’t seen it either for about 15yrs, but didn’t remember it being great back then and likewise remember the kid being annoying.
I'm hoping that maybe RoboCop 2 got me on a bad night. I do remember enjoying it so much more back in the day. Hopefully you will get more enjoyment from it than I did. You're going to love the 4K transfer

Arrow has a summer sale on at the moment. Still deciding on Robocop 4K to upgrade my blu ray. I saw westworld many many years ago,really enjoyed it from what I remember. 👍
I took a look at the Blu-ray of RoboCop from arrow Video and I was blown away by the difference with this 4K release. The onlything I will say Stephen is everybody has different equipment so you're going to have a different viewing experience. Hopefully if you do decide to pick it up the gamble will pay off.

Nekromantik 1 & 2 have a fabulous french blu-ray edition in a pink rigid box with a foldable interior that is like those 3D books.
I actually have both of those movies from arrow Video and I'm not going to lie I'm almost embarrassed to have them in my collection. Did not like them at all

@@millerman9991 it's a rigid hard box with glossy details. Besides is a numbered edition limited to 2.500 copies. In Spain was more affordable than in France.

I probably should have said it in the video but unfortunately my Assault on Precinct 13 theme got a copyright claim so I can no longer use it. I knew the day was going to come so I had to come up with a new one. Nothing will ever replace the original but I really do like this one. But thank you so much my friend for the kind words
Hey Keith. Like you, I only recently picked up RoboCop on 4K, but still not watched it yet. Cheesed off I missed the LE set, but hey ho. I will pick up RoboCop 2 but I can wait til I go Stateside later this year. I always remember seeing the Terminator 2 teaser on the RoboCop 2 rental VHS and being amazed 😂
Hey Steve. I actually had the limited edition Blu-ray release so I didn't feel it was necessary to basically rebuy it again so that's why I opted for the standard release of RoboCop. You are going to be blown away by its picture quality as you will with part 2
Westworld is a great movie with Yul Bryner you’ll enjoy it

Some cool pick ups Keith. I remember seeing Robocop 2 at the drive-in(remember them?) It was a bit like Predator 2 to me. Not as good as the original but enjoyable in its own way. Don't know if you are a fan of the movie Caligula but Umbrella have an incredible release up for pre-order.
Hey Michael. Yeah I have to agree with what you said when I came to Robocop 2 feeling somewhat like predator 2. I don't hate the movies but they don't come remotely close to the originals. I have seen that Caligula release but I'm not a fan of the movie if I'm completely honest. I have the arrow Video window box Edition and Im more than happy with that. Awesome pick ups Keith. I have the arrow steelbook of robocop and so happy to have it as its one my all time favourites. Just watched that scream factory of robocop the other night, and it's a beauty alright. The original casts a big shadow over it, but if you take it for what it is, it's a fun watch.

Honestly David I am hoping RoboCop to got me on a bad night because like I said in the video back in the day I remember it being a very solid sequel. That does happen to me every now and again so it will be interesting on the rewatch. Yeah the Westworld edition is fantastic particularly when you consider how much I got it for. Hopefully the movie will live up to the release. I will know very soon
Great video as always Keith. I have to agree that the most recent Robocop is a decent watch. I only have the blu ray but it looked really great for a blu ray. Of course the original is the best in my opinion.

Yeah I have to agree Darren none of the movies come remotely close to the original. Like I said in the video at least the remake wasn't trying to be a carbon copy of the original. They try something different and even though it didn't come close to the original I still rather enjoyed it. But thank you as always my friend for taking the time to stop by and check it out

Nice pick ups mate. I think why robo cop got a luke warm reception is because the arrow 1080p restoration was so good, its really hard to see any difference between them.
I actually like the re make , didn't understand all the negativity around it at the time. I had exactly same issue with universal soldier mate , my steelbook had a dent ( UK edition) so off to cex it went 😂.
I actually have the arrow Video Blu-ray release of RoboCop and I seen a substantial difference if I'm completely honest Ian. But I always say it it's down to your setup and everybody is going to have a different viewing experience. Great to hear that you enjoyed the remake by the way. I'm not on my own.

Went to cinema yesterday to watch a quiet place day 1 , excellent. Looking forward to seeing that at home, can't beat the 1st film tho, got 2 steelbooks of that 1 - 1 of my all time favourite films.
Yeah I heard great things when it came to a quiet place. I was told by a few people that it's nothing near as good as the original but it's still very entertaining. I don't think I'm going to see it in the cinema but looking forward to seeing it on my own setup

Great video Keith. I really should have upgraded Robocop by now its my fave film of all time! I just bought the deluxe bluray boxset then they brought this out a year later so I kinda passed on it. Lets hope scream factory do the third one too. Take care mate 👍
It took me a while Jordan to finally upgrade to the 4K release. After seeing it though I'm sort of regretting leaving it for as long as I did. It's a stunning release and hopefully you'll enjoy it yourself whenever you do decide to pick it up. I can imagine scream factory releasing the third one sometime in the future. Not quite sure if I want to pick it up though. But thank you as always mate for stopping by

I watched Robocop 2 in the theater when I was 13 and I loved it.
Honestly Michael keep an eye on it and I guarantee you they will go back down again. It happens all the time on Amazon Italy.

Hi Keith, thanks for again sharing your enthusiasm for the movies we all love. You really don't know Westworld? It's a scifi classic from the 70ies. I wouldn't call it a scifi western. It's about a futuristic amusement park with different worlds (just like Disney). You have a Roman world, a medieval world and the titular Westworld. You can spend a themed vacation there and interact with lifelike cyborgs. Of course, there's a technical glitch and the cyborgs go on a rampage and kill the human guests. Yul Brunner is the iconic gunslinger who is basically the bad cyborg version of his Magnificent Seven character. It holds up pretty well even today and Brunner's cyborg could easily be regarded as a direct precursor of The Terminator. After watching the movie you'll know what I mean. I do absolutely aggree with you on Robocop 2. It's rather stupid and I've always hated the kid. This boy never worked as a villain for me. However, I still think Robo 2 works as a guilty pleasure. As far as the sound of Universal Soldier is concerned I'll have to revisit my Studiocanal 4K. Maybe they didn't use the same soundtrack that Lionsgate used. I can't remember having any issues with my disc.
Wow I have to admit after reading this comment I am a little bit more excited to watch Westworld. I'm actually going into this movie completely blind. Your comment is the first I've read where it gives me a bit of an insight into what I'm going to be watching and I think it sounds absolutely fantastic. I said it a few times tonight but I'm hoping Robocop 2 got me on a bad night. It does happen to me every now and again so hopefully when I check it out again I will feel differently.
As for universal Soldier I couldn't believe how bad the audio was. The dialogue was so low down they were almost talking in whispers. That's why I had to turn it up as loud as I did. I should really look into that and see if I've gotten a defective disc
Robocop is a classic! Murphy/Robocop is a great hero and Clarence Boddiker is a memorable villain.
Universal Soldier is a great hunking slice of cheese and I love it for that!
I've been obsessed with James Bond since I was about 5 or 6.
Every great hero needs a good villain and that's what you get with RoboCop.
I'm a big James Bond fan myself and it was great to get such a beautiful release for Dr No

Yeah unfortunately I had to change my intro Michael because I got a copyright claim on the John Carpenter one. I would rather not change it but my hand was forced. Having said that I do like the new one. No I never heard of the Black Stallion before but I will check out it's trailer and see what it's like. Unfortunately when it comes to my new intro Chris there is nothing I can do about it because I finally got a copyright claim on my Assault on Precinct 13 intro. Trust me I didn't want to have to change it but it was out of my hands.

Robocop could be my favourite 4K transfer. That might be because I used to watch an awful VHS copy recorded from a TV broadcast and never realized the film could look that good.
Like I said in the video I was massively surprised by it. I'm not sure why people would downplay it the way they did. I can only imagine what the upgrade must have felt for yourself.
@@millerman9991 And as you also said, the grain is likely the reason for some folks being negative towards the transfer. Based on your thoughts I need to pick up Robocop 2 now, never saw that one.

Trust me you have nothing to worry about in terms of the 4K transfers for any of the RoboCop movies. They all look absolutely incredible and you are in for a funtime when you do pick them up. I didn't realise there was an extended edition of the Thomas Jane Punisher. I really enjoyed that as well

If you're a fan of Robocop 2 Cody then it's a no-brainer to pick up this 4K release because it looks absolutely astonishing. She is the main physical doctor who reprogram Alex murphy in Robocop 2.
I have never actually seen an episode of Airwolf. It's one of those TV series in the 80s that passed me by. I really should look into it. But thank you for the heads up Jason

Robocop should be listened to in it's original sound Dolby stereo 2.0
I never actually listen to it and it's original Dolby stereo. The Atmos has its issues but it's still very impressive
I turned on the video and looked away a sec and heard the new intro and thought I loaded the wrong video aha. Both great steelbooks and I loved that universal soldier one and do remember the sound not being great. Great price for Dr no, and I'm going to check out robocop 2 myself soon and then start the videogame as it's connected to the films. I'm gonna give the remake one more chance maybe, I remember when it came out I was shocked at the age rating of 12.
Yeah unfortunately the day came where I finally got a copyright claim against Assault on Precinct 13 so I had to change my intro. Thankfully I had this one on backup. I really need to pick up the video game of RoboCop because I've heard it's very faithful to the movie. Robocop 2 I think got me on a bad night. Well that's the hope but it does look fantastic on 4k. RoboCop the remake is definitely watered down in terms of its violence but I still rather enjoyed it. Hopefully you'll get a bit more out of it
@millerman9991 Yeah the game is great and so surprising from a pretty much unknown polish dev. It's funny how long you lasted before that strike, maybe in a small way its maybe a good thing in terms of the channel doing better to be noticed for the strike, the channel getting traction ect.
@fourlights to be honest Steve I've been wanting to change my intro for such a long time now because there's always that worry about the copyright claim every time I put out a video. At least I don't have to worry about that now

Hah, you changed the intro music Keith, it sounds very John Carpenter, I like it. I only ever saw the first two Robo Cop movies the second one in Florida in 1990 so the second was quite special for me even though the first one was the better movie. The artwork does look really nice on the War Zone, Punisher, the color scheme in mint. Universal Soldier is a very entertaining movie and looks great in 4K, when I watched it it was with the headphone and didn't notice the sound quality was that bad but I'm no expert, you are more savvy when it comes to things like that. Dr No, is a lot of people's favorite Bond. And as for West World, Keith you are going to love that movie, when Richard Benjimin and James Brolin are excellent in that film, you won't get enough of it. It's one of the classics to come out of the 70's and pisses all over the TV series. Word of warning, Don't ever bother with the sequel, Future World, it terrible.
Yeah unfortunately I got a copyright claim for using the John Carpenter intro so it was time for a change. The music that you hear on my new one was done by John over at Mondo and I basically told him to do his own rendition of a John Carpenter theme and that's why he came up with. As for Westworld I honestly cannot wait to check it out. I didn't realise there was a sequel so I will stay clear of that one. But I do want to check out the TV series. Keith, I am sad to hear that you can't use your usual intro music 😢 Sorry m8! In my world that music is synonymous with your channel! To the point where the Mrs knows exactly who I'm watching when it drops! If it helps, I have heard people have had success with altering the pitch slightly with such instances. There is absolutely nothing I can do when it comes to my intro. I finally got a copyright claim so my intro had to be changed. I actually rather like it. The music was given to me by a friend of mine

Really liked beverly hill’s cops 4 I don’t normally encourage bootlegs I’m a digital guy but I don’t like movies being locked to streaming services I mean if it’s a out of print one fine fair enough but not new movies shudder release all there movies on physical I do hope you get a copy if you want it
I absolutely agree with you 100% Sean. If I can get a bootleg edition for Beverly Hills Cop 4 you Can Bet I will grab one. I am going to be watching it tomorrow night on Netflix but I need to own it physically. I've heard so many great things about it and I am genuine excited

Told you Robocop 2 looked superb didn't I? However, like you, I didn't enjoy the film half as much as back in the day. I didn't like the new Robocop at all but I did quite enjoy the new version of Total Recall, it's so different from the Arnie version that you can't really compare. No that was the John Carpenter theme to Assault on Precinct 13. It's a shame I can't use it anymore
Hi Keith, Robocop is one of my favourite films of all time, I did like the second but it's nowhere near as good as the first. Part 3 is just awful no Peter Weller and it's more like a kids film. I also enjoyed the remake from 2014. Punisher war zone was awesome its everything a punisher film should be. When you said you saw the original punisher did you mean the Dolph lundgren version from 1898 or the Thomas Jane film from 2004?. As always keep up the good work.

Hi Keith, loved the video, on the topic of horror movies are we ever going to get a hammer horror on 4K ?.
Hammer horror is not what I call one of my go-to genres. But I think I would be opened to pick up one or two in the future
I've done the same with Robocop because of the reviews, but I still have not bought the 4K. I have the Arrow Special Edition Blu ray.
I thought there was a considerable difference over the previous Blu-ray release but there was no way I was buying the same limited edition set that I had already on Blu-ray. Hopefully someday you will pick it up Allan and be pleasantly surprised by it as much as I was.
LOL, yeah, Robocop 2 hasn't aged well has it? I've still bit of a soft spot for it tho, especially the final battle.

Hi Keith, Remember really enjoying Robocop 2 when i first watched it at the cinema back in the day, and for some strange reason i don't feel the urge to pick it up, i think i know i wont like it this time round lol.
Punisher war zone is great and the fact that its violent, that's how the Punisher should be. Great looking steelbook as well.
Have you got the U.K 4K of Universal soldier to compare the audio? not sure if its the same but its released by Studiocanal so it might be different, i have no complaints with it anyway.
Maybe that is the smart play Mark because like I said in the video I mentioned that maybe I should have kept it in the past when I had fond memories of it. Having said that it might have got me on a bad night. That does happen to me quite a bit so I'm curious to see how I feel when I watch it again.
I do have the UK release of universal Soldier and I'm actually going to do that. I don't remember my UK sounding as bad as this one. Hopefully it will be ok. But thank you as always Mark for taking the time to stop by
Hi Keith, big fan of the channel, not a fan of the Robocop remake myself and much prefer Robocop 2 (Cain rules!!!), anyway something that bothers me more is the cover on the remake, why is the original gun featured but its not in the movie, seems odd!

I remember at the time thinking Robocop 3 was the worst of them all but I'm somewhat curious to check it out now because like I said in the video i really enjoyed Robocop 2 back in the day so chances are I might feel differently about the third one. I doubt it but I'm curious

There is nothing I can do. I got a copyright claim finally on the John Carpenter theme so I had to change my intro. Nothing will live up to the assault theme but I do like the music that I have here
I prefer the robocop remake to robocop robocop is good but it’s ages poorly with the effects satire and acting is poor for some of the cast
I really enjoyed the remake Sean but I have to admit it does not come remotely close to the original for me. I had no issues in terms of the acting and the visual effects were groundbreaking at the time and I remember how I felt the first time seeing them. I wouldn't change a thing. But look we all have our opinions. I'm just happy you enjoyed it
