I know you may not know this but do you know how old your palms are cause I just started growing the same species and my haven’t shot out any fronds yet
Hi great info , I noticed you have a three trunk Adonidia that one of the trunk was cut down , I have the same three trunk Adonidia but would like to cut down one of them , so I can manage them better when I bring them in during the winter months , my question is will it hurt the plant ? If I do , my threesome are roughly 6+ ft in size. Your input would be appreciated. Thank you
Hey, that was actually a 4 trunk palm. A 3 trunk can be fine in a pot. How thick are the trunks on yours? I just used a clean pair of sheers and snipped at the base. Eventually the roots on the cut palm will just rot and you'll be able to easily take the trunk away when repotting. I snipped them month ago and have had no issues. Must safer than trying to untangle the roots.
TK ALL DAY Oh wow, 4 trunks? I must have missed it, my Christmas palm or palms lol! At the shaft are about as thick as a beer can, I’m torn, I don’t want to cut a trunk but in the house it could be a bit to much over the winter with mites to control and so on. Thanks for the reply 👍
When will you be doing an update?
Hey Andre, here is a link to my 1-month update! ua-cam.com/video/FEHSnquoC30/v-deo.html
