Stitching the Dream Big

- Hi everyone,
Students ask me all the time about my process when I am doing different things. I had a Dream Big panel that I was quilting for a client and I wanted to share how I do that. These 3 videos will take you through that process from start to finish. In this final video I start stitching. I talk about my plan and you will see me stitching out parts of the dream big. I apologize that I didn't get film of me stitching out the whole thing. In the middle of me working on this, we added a new puppy to our family (he makes a cameo) and I had to steal time here and there to get the quilting done. I think it still gives the idea though.
As always, you can reach out with any questions you might have.

Always fun watching this one
I don't care what you say: Your feathers are incredible!😅
Thank you for showing us how to take out those stitches more effectively.
Thank you for this video! It gives beginner little me some hope and something to try! I have bought quite a few of these panels to play on but I've been too intimidated to try yet. Hopefully I can find time soon! Thank you!
Beautiful work Adam and Barry is so precious
What a great idea for doing feathers. Might have to try that in my FMQ journey.
I love your videos. Thanks for sharing. I saved it under a YT playlist as "Adam Sew Fun" so I can find you easily.
Your feathers look pretty darn perfect to me! Fabulous work!
Thank you!
Wow. Amazing. Thanks for sharing your talent. Love your adorable fur-baby. Too cute. I've subbed.
I would like to say he has grown a lot but he hasn't, he hovers around 2.5 lbs.
Absolutely beautiful ❤️
Thank you
Hello Adam,
Wondering what thread you used. And thanks for sharing the quilting.
I use all the threads but my go to top is Omni and bobbin is usually Bottom Line or So Fine

Love all your videos and tutorials. Will you please do a video of how you make a facing rather than binding a quilt?
I will add it to my list.
I love the "6" visual for the feathers! Thank you, you're a gem for sharing ❤️
Barry is the cutest little doggo I've ever seen 😍
Happy New Year to you and your loved ones xx
Happy New Year to you too!! I wish I could remember who I saw the "6" visual from, so I can give them credit but I have no clue who it was. I think I was flipping through Facebook or UA-cam one day and that was said and it just clicked for me. Thanks for watching and Barry thanks you too.
Cute puppy.
Thanks for sharing 😀. Do you have to rise the needle height for 2 batting’s????
You shouldn't have to. The foot will keep everything pressed down. If you are free motion quilting, it does take a little more strength to move the machine because of the extra bulk.
Do you baste stitch down the sides with the side clamps on or off. Does it matter?
Do you ever do the Dream Big with Pro Stitcher? If so, do you have a video? I’ve only done E2E and wonder how you do the marking for the pedals with pro sticher.
Hi Lisa. I have not done a Dream Big with Pro-Stitcher yet. I have the designs and have used them in a class but only a few of the petals. Good idea for another video? You just have to mark the areas and fit the designs into them.
@@adamsewfun. Thanks so much Adam. I look forward to seeing the video if you do one. I love your videos and your so informative and a great teacher.
I really enjoyed this tutorial. What color is your backing fabric? Will you use the same light yellow bobbin thread for the whole quilt?
Thanks for the idea to add the webbing on the side clamps. I’m new to long arm and found myself running into a problem with the ruler base. Problem solved!
Please tell me why your. basting stitches are like a huge meander?
It's just the way I like to baste down my tops, there are a lot of different ways, this just happens to be my preferred way. I just need something to hold everything together until I stitch it.
@@adamsewfun. Thank you. I just loaded a quilt today. I am going to try basting your way. I normally do a straight stitch or use pins about 3-4” inches apart (only horizontal. We‘l see…………
Do you have a link to the rulers you used?
I don’t but if I get a chance later you day, I will post another comment with ones I used here.
Are those all handi quilter rulers?
They are. It looks like I was using some of the Arc A templates and Arc C templates, as well as the Curved Crosshatch template
This high speed video hurts my eyes. I can't watch it. I love your other videos that I've seen.
