I walked it April/May 2014 it wasn't hard you rested when you need to and always press on and follow the arrows ...What a great trip... return in 2017 walking the Portuguese way.... life changing
I've walked the Camino Frances a couple of times, St Jean to Santiago. Just gotta say for anybody that watches this movie, don't be too intimated by its difficulty. It ain't that bad. The average healthy person can walk it no problem. Yeah, you get sore feet and knees, and blisters if you wear the wrong shoes or socks, but overall it's quite doable. Just remember to travel as light as possible, hydrate and don't overextend your body's limitations on a daily basis. In other words, pace yourself. Also, the living conditions in albergues are hardly primitive or difficult. Showers, sinks, kitchens etc. I always had a decent place to sleep at night and always got enough rest and never had a problem finding a good, affordable meal.
Saw this at the Bloor Cinema, Toronto two weeks ago. A moving documentary with many different stories. Privileged to meet Sue Regean Kenney after Q & A. Wonderful woman with valued positive energy. The thought has been planted for a walking pilgrimage in my future.
Saw this was playing in NYC yesterday afternoon, but we wanted to leave in the morning. Then heard your interview on NPR on the drive home. Then discovered you will be showing the film in Amherst on Wednesday. See you then! Biked it 7 years ago.
Salvation by faith, in Jesus Christ is the answer...

I was there too (and met Sue also). Can't wait for my turn. All the best to you!
