Great little project. Turned out awesome. I bought a Kienzle car clock in untested condition off EBay 8 years ago. I connected it to a 12v battery, and discovered it still works, despite it being made in the 1960’s
That's a cool looking clock, I like the addition of the lights inside too!
It would be good to somehow be able to switch on the lights remotely, once you have it on the wall!
I think putting the LED's behind the clock face would be a good move
Not been watching you long, came for the fixes, stayed for the random karaoke, great idea for the clock Ade love it, now to watch the rest of your videos 👍
Ha ha love it cheers mate 👍
That looks like a standard Euroshaft fitting (EF), held in place by a screw. The Chinese movements are roundshaft (also non euroshaft or NEF) and helpfully there are at least three sizes of movement/hands, but 5.5mm hour and 3,6mm minute is most common. I fix a lot of clocks at Repair Cafes so have a big box of quartz movements.
If MyMateVince seen you taking pliers to a clock face he kick your teeth in lmao :) good vid and fix as always :)
Lol thought the pliers would grip people's shit (no pun intended) 🤣
Lol did the job tho and no damage, spot on fix :)
Cheers mate
When I saw the pliers, even my cells were cringing.

Ah bugger I didn't think of that ha ha
Bloody Nora "it unscrews" 🤣😂
