Hugo, I see you cover more than just music and collecting values, but here's my $.02 : As a 72 year old guy, I have records from way back. Obscure stuff. Now I digitize music from wherever and listen in my car from a thumbdrive, or live at concerts. 😊 My sources are usually the bands selling their vinyl merch. &/or their cds, or else I go to the library! Ripping music to my hard disks (30 terabytes) is fine since my ears are getting bad. My system will play records, cds, cassettes, or reel-to-reel, as good as I can reasonably afford. 😅 I enjoy everything except paying huge record companys for sound that doesn't get shared with the artists. 😢 My max. price is about $30-40 TO THE ARTIST. After that, there's the internet and all those FREE librarys. 😂❤ .... good content! Please keep it up. 😊
I love that you digitize the music, making a database of everything. I also wish i could just pay the artist the money directly! That's why when i buy a vinyl i try to get it from their own website as well, but sometimes the shipping alone is the price of another vinyl. Thanks for the compliment!
I bought the new Jon Anderson record for $NZ50. It was a double album. The new David Gilmour album was $NZ70. That same album on coloured vinyl was $NZ99. That was a single disc album. I don’t understand how they can cost these out. We are getting ripped off.
It seems that everytime i look at prices the 'basic' price went up, first 25€, then 30, then 35, now it seems 40 is the standard. Still LOVE vinyl but they are just exploiting the hype
Great group of records and CD's The Police greatest hits good stuff, I mainly talk rock vinyl on my channel and post a few concert clips, thanks for sharing the great music info I am a Packer fan too,, Peace!
You might want to save for a small system with a decent turntable and needle so you don't damage your records with a suitcase player. Try to make friends with an audio person, they will set you up for cheap with a good system.
It wasn't a suitcase player, it was a JAM stream+ player... Not the worst thing in the world, but not great. I JUST bought the AudioTecnica 120! Set it up and the sound difference is insane. Where the other player would skip some records, sounded perfect now, so im glad i got it!
I collect both personally as you have a point cd is cheaper and stuff like that but vinyl has a more characteristic sound and feel and the look could be a lot better and it’s nice to have something big of what you love so while I respect what you say people like me just want to keep they’re expensive hobby
Trust me i totally get it... While i was editing this video - and i kid you not - the doorbell rang and it was a vinyl being delivered 😅 so i definitely still collect vinyl as well, it's more that i try and bring a bit more attentionbto cd's as well :)
Thanks for not stopping it 😅 what's your favorite band? I'll also add that i do admit they fell off after mylo xyloto, although i still like head full of dreams and a handful of songs of the later albums. But Rush of Blood to the head is my favorite album
@Hugosmediacollection Not sure I could ever name a favorite but I love Queen, AC/DC, Scorpions, etc.! You really hit on a lot of the reasons I've switched to buying CDs almost exclusively.
The resurgence of vinyl is just a marketing money grab, CDs so much cheaper now and sound so much better anyone saying that vinyl sounds better is just trying to justify buying vinyl to themselves 😂
Yeah i literally can not hear a difference, if anything vinyl have scratches more often that will affect the sound in a bad way, so it's a silly point people make imo
This is good keep going hugo!
Thank you!

I do both. I do CDs mainly for stuff that's either not available or too expensive on vinyl
Same here, love both tbh, i tend to get the vinyl when it's an absolute favorite of mine! Otherwise i'll stick to the cds
Not even 1000 subscribers is crazy, I was expecting you to be way more popular
Thank you! Means a lot! It's a slow climb..
@Hugosmediacollection It sure is. Nice video! Got a U2 album on CD for $1, got the same album on vinyl for $20
Genesis- Invisible Touch - A Masterpiece both Vinyl and CD!
One of my favorite bands of all time! Invisible touch is also up there with favorite albums.. still want to own that one on vinyl as wel

I feel like Woody is staring into my soul
But also, amazing video as always ❤️
Huh.. i dont remember putting him there... Weird
I enjoy cds but I still prefer vinyl. I’m also getting it for the cover art
Fair point, if i could affort it, i would get more vinyl than i do now, but i can not justify the price difference to get most of my music on vinyl...
Great group of records and CD's The Police greatest hits good stuff, I mainly talk rock vinyl on my channel and post a few concert clips, thanks for sharing the great music info I am a Packer fan too,, Peace!
I love the police! I will check your channel out :)
Go Packers!

Agree cd music lover here. Just purchased as as new cd the vinyl would have been £29.99.
Paid £2.50 inc postage plastic holder scuffed but cd mint 🇬🇧
The difference is so insane to me, especially used cd's..
Now we wait for the yearly pakjesavondhaul video
Might already be recorded...
I almost stopped the video when you said you were a big fan of Coldplay. 😂
Thanks for not stopping it 😅 what's your favorite band? I'll also add that i do admit they fell off after mylo xyloto, although i still like head full of dreams and a handful of songs of the later albums. But Rush of Blood to the head is my favorite album
@HugosmediacollectionRush of Blood is the last good Coldplay record before they full sold out and turned into a poppy boy band.

100% agree!
