Paul and Chad are class acts. Congratulations and thank you for sharing my channel with your audience. It was a pleasure to meet and compete against you.
Congratulations Chad and Paul! Waiting for rules to enter to win the Pack Rat. Hope it doesn't involve facebook entries. Some of us don't do "social media" but it's your giveaway. Handle it how you want👍👍👍😎
Way to go Paul and Chad! It’s always great wheeling with y’all and I hope we can do it again sometime. Next time you are in Tennessee make sure to give me a shout this time!
Chad works his butt off! Thank you Chad for being the silent partner. I hope the troops give you the recognition you deserve in all this! Love your cooking setup in back! Convienient. You can get a folding Coleman oven and bake stuff. Just put over o gas burner. I put a fire brick in the bottom of mine to try to have less of a heat spot burning the bottom of stuff. Glad y'all had fun. Congrats on the Win! ❤
Amazing to see why your channel is the best. No razzle dazzle, no big fancy workshops with staff. You can spend all the money in the world yet not turn up and you guys nailed it!
Yes Michelle, I've been jerked around last time by a guy that he wouldn't verify his address. He actually got mad. Well guys this was a super build. You having Chad for a partner cinched the build. He has a lot of knowledge in wiring and fabricating. Hats off to the both of you.
That was one of the funnest FAB RAT videos I have ever seen, great content and a well deserved win. The only one driven to the competition says it all. Chad and Paul you guys ROCK. Congratulations!
ALRIGHT 👍 Congratulations to you both. The best part is that you both drove from start to finish, the entire trip. With a couple of minor fixes. It's pretty amazing for a 65-year vehicle, just built, highway, and off-road. Really speaks well of both of you and your abilities. Well deserved win 🏆 👏. GREAT JOB.
With the way you build trucks, know how to drive and help everyone else in the trail it’s a no brainer you guys won. Always a pleasure to watch, thanks for making great content
While I can appreciate the amount of craftsmanship and work it takes to build the zany, over-the-top builds, but by far my favorite is the Willys wagon. Nostalgic and crazy functional always does it for me. Well done!
Great ride! A request to the camera operators please, if you should happen to remember. When at a place with info signs, such as at the museum, if when panning past the sign, you could get the whole text field in the picture that would be great. I'm one of those people who pause the video to read the signs. I'm pretty sure that there are others like me out there. 😎
Love to see a build like the Willy’s actually function and be what you want it to be. Awesome rig Paul. Your channel and the people you have to help and support you are amazing. Don’t stop doing what you’re good at and what you love to do. Big inspiration to the upcoming generations.
CONGRATULATIONS!! I've watched all the builds. Huge fan of fab rats. Paul and Chad are the perfect pair in my opinion. Both very dam good at what they do. I'm super excited you guys got the Win! I can only imagine how happy you guys are!!!! Thanks for all the great content. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Congrats on the win. Iv been waiting for this video to come and I'm glad you made an all in one upload instead of having to wait for the results. Amazing build. Excited for what comes next
Congrantulations to Paul&Chad ,and families on a job well done!! I can only imagine the huge amount of hours that went into this project. we as subscribers realize that we just get a small part of all you do. Thanks for sharing not only this accomplishment ,but many others all the way back to the early days of long ago. Best wishes always!
Paul builds the best off road vehicles. He knows how to make them work and also is one of the best to off-road a vehicle. Awesome work. Ever need a camera man let me know I’ll move to Utah anytime. Can’t wait to try and win that jeep. Congrats🎉
Thank you for a great video and congratulations on winning the on x challenge. My friend use to have one of these with a corvette engine. It was the jolly green giant, complete with the paint job. RIP Bob
This brings back so many memories for this old man. I had a 62 Willis Wagon in 1966. Two wheel drive 6 cylinder army green. I grew up in south Fla and spent many hours at Dana Beach north of Miami pulling stuck tourist out of the sand. All I had was double rim fat tire with low pressure. Sad to say I blew it up and dad sold it. Now retired I might have to find another................lol
Well what can I say, congratulations on the well deserved win for yourselves and the fabrats crew Paul Chad And Michelle and Mrs Chad you boy's put the time in to build the truck and your dear wife's had to put up with all the time you put into everything, thank you for tacking us along with you on the build and the challenge riding along was fantastic thank's again guy's and girls.
I knew from the beginning of the build you were going to win this, congratulations, I had one of those Willie's back in Highschool but had to sell it to help my parents with some bills while I was in basic training for the Air Force, once again congratulations to you and your team
Congratulations to you, and Chad , also a big thanks to all those who organised and ran the challenge, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Congrats Paul and Chad on your win. A good time was had by all. I felt bad for Rudy though. That had to be a bummer. I would love to win the Willy's Jeep but it would be wasted on me. Turning 72 and just don't drive that much any more. Good luck to whoever does win it.
Congratulations on the win! Nicely Done! ! ! I thought one of the other less practical builds might win, but I'm glad an honest to goodness off road vehicle won.
I’m supposed to an overlander; I am full-time living out of my jeep grand Cherokee and tiny off-road trailer for two years now. But my adventure partner isn’t so thrilled with not having modern amenities so after 7 months washing dishes, cooking, eating outside; we now have a base camp trailer she stays in RV parks/campgrounds. So we are definitely full-time adventure nomads but I wouldn’t say we’re actually full-time overlanding. I look at it this way if you’re camping from a vehicle you’re overlanding, that comp seems like fun adventure.
Fab Rats for the win! This whole thing was "right up your alley". You and Chad killed it. Driving to/from the competition, cooking and eating while competitors repaired things, while your repairs were, "weather stripping for cabin ambience, airbag, armrest tape, and a steering wheel that wasn't fastened". I'm holding off on purchasing jerky until someone with skills worthy of that rig wins it. Congrats. You were in your element while the sun was up Your quick thinking, "And I'd like to thank my wife.." was the best part.
What a great video!! You and Chad make a great team. The Ratlander worked even better than I thought it would. All the obstacles, the racing, the camping, and of course the eating steak... NOT TO MENTION the WINNING!!!!!!! Great stuff!!! You deserve it!!!
I have a 07 FJ that I wheeled the balls off of and I love. Because of health issues it's sitting on jack stands with a broken rear. Family is trying to talk me into getting rid of it but I never will. That is unless I won that amazing Willy's! This build is amazing! You guys nailed it!
When the Hula Girl went on the dashboard I knew you had it in the bag. Paul and Chad and your families were outstanding. What a build! Skilled craftsmen’s at their best. Congratulations again and Aloha from the Hawaiian Islands!!!
Congratulations! You guys deserved this big time. The old Willys might not win a beauty contest, but she dang sure wins everything else. My dad had a 48 model, 2- wheel drive, 3 speed with overdrive. As best as I can remember, it was a tuff tank. Again, great job and glad y'all had fun.
As far as lunch in Tucson, AZ...Something I grew up with is "Lucky Wishbone" and their steak finger meal. They have a "Pop", "Mom". "Jr" size for individual meals and a "Family Feast" for the whole family. The fun part about overlanding is getting out of the house, on to some trails, interacting with other like minded people. Enjoying the comradery, conversations, sharing stories, joking around with awesome people. To improve the Willys, add a roof rack with lights, dual battery system, solar panels, 12 volt fridg, inverter, on-board air. With tents, I use the T4 from Gazelle. My broken body has troubles with roof top tents (RTT). If you add a overland trailer, you have more storage, put a RTT on the trailer. Get to your destination, uncouple from the trailer, set up camp. This allows your camp to stay set up and to go hit some trails.
@@LuckyBaldwin777 If you like their fried chicken, you should try the 3 piece wishbone meal. It has the ball of meat that is around the wishbone. It is not on the menu, you have to ask for it. Love the Sonoran dog. I have a home version of it. I of course use a hot dog a bun, but I use bacon crumbles from Costco.
I love this channel, makes me want believe I can built something, get myself, out of a bind. And your family is so relatable. Please keep you content just like this !
Nice. You were in my old stomping grounds, I lived close to Rita Rd. The Pima Air & Space museum is another must see. You were only a few miles away from a big automotive YTer, Sarah N Tuned.
Ok , Paul… Great Your Video. I have Seen Bits and Pieces of Other Competitors . But Now I get to See Your Version.. Wonderful….. It will be Just Fine….😎👍 Love this Channel

Now that would make a great series…
Paul Talk to Nate.. he has coined Rock-landing.. looks way more fun then over landing.. plus some shared content would be cool..
Oh and nice work having Paul Winch you up Matt&Josh
A one hour and 19 minute FabRats video featuring Chad is pure entertainment bliss.
❤
Chad works his butt off! Thank you Chad for being the silent partner. I hope the troops give you the recognition you deserve in all this!

Chad needs a trophy. You both did well.
Chad needs a trophy for ALL the support he's lent to all these guys. 🗿👽🗿

Congratulations on the win to Paul and Chad. You both are great people.
Two grown men doing teenager stuff- loved it . Two grown men doing what they love , respect to you guys !
I was amused to discover what my friends and I called "camping" was apparently known as "overlanding". 😋
I still wonder how you don’t have a million subscribers, this is just good clean fun! You guys have the best content on the tube and awesome builds!
I've watched every episode for some years now. I had no idea you were planning to give this thing away!! I love the FabRats!!!!!!!!!
I want that right////////
I think everyone missed that single comment. Did I miss the announcement or was that a peak in to the future?

Chad needed to Drive for Sure, all the rigs and electrical nightmares he fixes or makes work, he deserved that seat time just like Paul said
ALRIGHT 👍 Congratulations to you both. The best part is that you both drove from start to finish, the entire trip. With a couple of minor fixes. You TWO are unstoppable just os much talenet no matter what happens you two can over come it, TOP 2 UA-camrs together
If I didn’t know better I’d say that Paul doesn’t like roughing it. Please assure me that he isn’t a whiner!
With the way you build trucks, know how to drive and help everyone else in the trail it’s a no brainer you guys won. Always a pleasure to watch, thanks for making great content
They were closest to the overlander concept and clearly had the most all round capable and reliable vehicle. As you say, a no brainer that they won.
Paul and Chad, honestly, the greatest. Thanks so much for all you share with us all.
Great time being along with you for the ride. Thanks!
Well Congrats on the win FABRATS 🏆 👏 👍 🎉 You guy's have an AWESOME Channel and you did an AWESOME Build 👌 👏 👍 Thanks for taking us along guy's 👍

Congratulations Paul and Chad and your teams. Great video as well.

Overlander here - checking out cool stuff along the way is part of the experience. Glad you guys made the time to check it out.
Great build and great videos. Thanks Paul, Chad, Michelle and the whole team.
Story time with Chad & Paul ,,,,,,,Priceless
I feel like you guys, and the OBS Bronco built the most reliable, most capable rigs.
I don't like Ford's but the bronco had my attention
@@masterbates7016thank you! Pretty proud of it. Not bad for 2 months of work!
Drove the bronco 85 miles to work today. 😂
Love the old Jeep’s built in tables above the front wheels!
Just too much to comment on, I could write a novel about how good this was, thank you. Award couldn't have gone to a more deserving team, congrats!
Thank you for a great video and congratulations on winning the on x challenge. My friend use to have one of these with a corvette engine. It was the jolly green giant, complete with the paint job. RIP Bob

Congratulations to Fab Rats awesome 👌
Congratulations.
The work that you and Chad put in definitely showed in the driveability and reliability of this rig. Awesome job.
I'm going to hate to see that thing leave the channel. I love that ride!
The Willys was awesome thanks to the dream teams combined knowledge and determination. Well done . Thanks for the ride
