Hi guys, I'm actually an Arubian living in the UK and this video and a couple of others you've posted; like the December one, really helped me to showcase the beaches around Aruba with great diving and exploring spots for my husband to see, who is actually from Ghana. These video's are informative for when I visit with him in 2022... Since you know covid and ....heh, >>brexit... (not fun, trust me..) it makes things tricky when it comes to the new travelling laws (restrictions) that the uk government are just piling on here..lol. So thank you so much for sharing the recent Aruba. I appreciate it. So much have changed since I left 10 years ago and thanks to you guys I have also rediscovered new places from my own island , that I didnt even knew existed..lol, I know, it's kinda sad... but as an Arubian, growing up in Aruba, me and my family didn't have the time to explore and enjoy these amazing places, that most tourists and outsiders really seem to enjoy when they discover these wonderful gems. So I'm really grateful for you guys, to have the ability to film these wonderful gems and showcase these beautiful places under and above water. It really help me to rediscover my home. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. I really pray and hope you guys blow up on youtube and succeed cause you guys are doing an amazing job with your filming and directing and editing. Wow. What an awesome note, Crystal! We are so glad you are enjoying the videos. It has been a privilege to visit, experience and share the wonderful sites of these islands. We loved Aruba so much and your husband will too! When we first arrived, it had just opened up and the island had few visitors with the hospitality industry struggling. As time has passed, we saw Aruba and now Curaçao pick up, although they are still a long way from “normal”. (A two-week lockdown in Curaçao was just announced.) Giving a little business to local economies is a small part; but, hopefully, some of these videos will have an exponential impact by inspiring others to come and experience everything the islands have to offer above and below the water. “Success” is defined in many ways and whether we blow up or not, comments like these make us feel like a million dives…er…bucks! ;-) Thank you for your very kind and heartfelt words. Safe travels! (2022 is just around the corner.)
The locals call that area "Bou Baranca" which means "under the rocks". There used to be a shop called Bou Baranca of an old lady that used to sell drinks and sandwiches in a small hut on the left side of that pier a long time ago. Unfortunately her shop closed in 1999, and I vividly remember that because her shop was the only place where you can buy food, drinks and baits with a boat.
We got to dive this spot on our last trip to Aruba, it was spectacular. I think our fav was Mango Halto, though, for the ease of entry, but the reef here was awesome. Love your videos, it has sure helped us finding the shore dives on these islands!
Glad you like the videos Terri. Some sites, like Hole In The Wall, are a bit hard to find without some help. It just looks like a residential area! Leslie wasn't up for it, but I did go with Pure Diving Aruba to try to catch coral spawning, but we didn't see much from that perspective. Still...any night dive is great in my book. Perhaps next time. :-)
@@TropicLens we actually did that dive w/a DM from JADS, he used to live right there in one of those apartments- he knew every tiny nook & cranny, we had a lot of fun! (He called it Rocky Beach)
Great video. There are now two well maintained docks with excellent plastic dive ladders. Nothing else seems to have changed from the video. Currents here are strong. Certainly not for beginnings, especially beginners who are on their own. If in doubt, don’t go out. Go to Boca Catalina or Malmok or tres triapi instead. ;)

Beautiful footage!! Snorkeling for the first time in Aruba. What would you suggest for our strategy at Mangle Halto? We have fins, masks and snorkel vest and don't want to venture too far out. Thanks!
We haven't been back to Aruba since 2020, Sweet Pea, but I don't think much would have changed with respect to the Mangel Halto experience. When we were there, you could enter down some pier stairs or walking in from a small beach. It's a fairly shallow walk out, so you can easily stay very shallow if you like. Quite a bit of the area is behind some barrier land that gives it some protection from the sea. I see this comment is on the Hole In The Wall video. Check out our Mangel Halto video for a bit more information. Hope this helps!
