These are my first continental set ever - for my S14. They feel AMAZING in the rain - especially for a RWD. I’ve never driven in the heavy pouring rain with so much comfort and confidence ever before. It’s amazing what having one of the best quality tires can do for your vehicle and driving experience
These are fucking amazing tires. I have a lot of experience with tires. Performance, mud and snow, all season/all weather, and winter. These are shockingly great tires. Driver feedback: they feel firm. Not squishy at all yet they perform like a soft shock absorbing tire. They are incredibly quiet and I have virtually no road noise or felt the vibration. I am absolutely blown away by these tires.
wow i just bought a 2004 mgm ls and they have 4 hankook optimo hr724 tires on the car it have some good treadwear left on the tire. i want to drive these tires down until it's time to buy 4 more tires and i'm looking 4 a set of all season tires and i'm sold on these and i heard they have 90,000 miles on the tire so i want to buy me a pair of these. right now i'm debating on these and the cooper cs5 grand touring tire but you said these are much better so i might get a pair of these
Just got them put on my Optima after a front tire blowout, and the TruContacts were the only option for 205/65R16 besides the cheapest option. Being me, i decided to pay $1000 instead of $700, but so far I share a similar experience as you, especially on the firmness of the tire but how it still seems to absorb impact quite well.
My mother has them on her Subaru Forester and they are really amazing. As someone who buys ultra high performance all seasons, like the DW06 Contis or the MIchelin Pilot Sport All Season 4, I was super impressed by these on her car as an all around all weather all season tire. A real deal.
As someone from Minnesota, these tires are amazing in snow and ice. I got 90,000 miles out of my last pair and just replaced them. The car is a 2016 Hyundai Sonata Sport.
Nov 9, 2022. After great reviews, I just picked up a set from my Ohio Subaru dealership, for my 2021 Forester premium. The factory OEM Bridgestone Ecopia HL 422 were practically useless in the snow. Road grip almost nothing in the dry. So-so in the wet. They were designed for strictly saving gas with minium rolling resistance. When I got right unto the highway with my new Continentals, I had a big smile. What a difference in grip. They still have to be tested in the rain and snow.
Howdy Matt, After finding your channel and watching your tire reviews and tire talk, I have gained a new respect for the Continental tire lineup. I appreciate all your posts and insight. Keep up the good work!
Man I was looking into tires and wanted as much information as possible and once I came to this vid, I left with so much more knowledge all because of this video. Very Very well video.
Continental makes some great tires! I have had them on several vehicles and they haven't disappointed! Always got alot of miles out of them with regular rotations.
I bought that tire as a mistake for my 99 Accord. Omg! I was blown away on how awesome the car felt driving and how grippy and soo confident the steering wheel was hahaha! The feeling was like driving a new car hahaha
I highly recommend these tires if you are looking for a smooth quiet ride and great handling.. these tires made a big difference, I was using Pirelli all season tires before.
anytime I am considering a new tire for our vehicles I come to your channel first. I purchased those Continental Terrain contact tires for my Tahoe, and now I am looking to get a set of these TrueContact Tour tires for my wife as she commutes 115 miles a day every week and I want her ride to be smooth and quiet while allowing her to stay in control of the vehicle.
Thanks for the deep dive on this tire. I just ordered a 17" all-season package with these, to put on my Gen 6 Outback when I take off the 17" Nokian Hakka R5 winter package next spring here in the PNW. The OEM 18" wheels & tires are just too heavy, harsh riding and expensive.
Just put a set of these on my 2017 Honda Accord EX-L. What a difference! These tires are much quieter and smoother than the stock Michelin Primacy’s. Great tires!
I LOVE these tires. I have them on both my daughter's cars. 18 Kia Sportage and a 19 Nissan Sentra. They are so quiet and have great grip and wear like iron. The price was right too when I bought them before the pandemic!
These tires were just about the only option I had for my Optima after a front tire blowout on the highway. I only just got them yesterday, but happy with all the good reviews I am seeing.
Love Continental tires. I've always run the PureContact on my 2006 Subaru Forester and they have performed very well in all conditions. I'd expect the same out of these.
I actually bought these based on this review and Tire Rack’s review. Weather/climate in my state is really sporadic from week to week so all-seasons are preferred. They’re fantastic. Sure-footed in wet/dry, warm/cold, and have a quiet ride with a very “direct” steering feel. Surprisingly capable as a sporty tire too! Way better than the OEM all-seasons on a lot of sedans/SUVs
Just bought a 2019 Cadillac CTS off a 24 month lease. They came with Pirelli run flat tires. Hated them. Noisy, and I felt every bump in the road. So after 3 months I replaced them with Continental True Contact tires. Super quiet, virtually no road noise, and great shock absorbing qualities. Now all my friends that have run flat tires on their cars are putting these on their cars after asking me how well I love them!!
@@CampusautoCo what tire would you recommend for a 2005 Toyota Avalon? I'm trying to decide between Michelin and Continental. What's your recommendation for a good All season tire, for a smooth quite ride, good in wet& snow, and will last a long time?
Love the "strong TRY IT" optimism. I'm getting these for my Toyota Camry today. I'm switching from Kumho Solus TA31 which lasted me 30k miles in 2.5 years. Hoping these True Contact Tours are the right choice. Thanks for your in depth tire review 👍
@@eamonob84 The TrueContact. I have about 30,000 plus miles on them. I don’t drive in snow but we do get some serious rain here. Tires have handled very well, easy to balance, responsive, and maintained fuel economy…upwards of 35 m.p.g. Plenty of tread left on them. They may have a little noise to them but, honestly, the Impreza has 142,000 plus miles now so it could be just the old car making noise. I ended up going with the Continental TerrainContact H/T’s on my Toyota Tundra. Those are doing great as well….very happy with Continental tires.

I think it's the varying type of white top roads that people drive on across the US. My current Cross Contact LX25's are very quiet on black top roads and super loud on our Pennsyvania white top roads and highways....so I was thinking of switching them out for these True Contacts.
I’m considering the Michelin Defender T+H and this continental True Contact. I do a lot of wet and highway miles. Prefer a quiet ride over sportiness is for a 2017 equinox AWD. Stuck on tire choices what do you recommend?
So you said when the dws goes away that means it's time to replace the tires that's neat. I want some tires that's good like that. So 800 A A is a very nice tire so how long does the treadwear last
Great tire had it on my BMW X3, 04 and Honda CR-V, 08. Much better than Michelin Defenders. Matt will you do an updated A/T tire comparison with Yokahoma ATX and Toyo Open Country A/T3 include with your top 5? Thank you Matt.
How do you like this tire better than the defenders? I’m looking for tires for an SUV so a quiet comfortable ride is my preferred choice. Was considering the Defenders but see quite a few people seem to prefer the continentals. What’s your input on this tire?
I wanted PremiumContact 7 but the tire shop said they don't have for my car's size and they suggested this one... Since it was the suggestion to an alternative premium model it makes me think this is less quality than what I was looking for... I'll probably go with Michelin.
I bought a set of these for my 2018 Toyota Corolla. They ride and handle nicely , perform well on a wet surface but are absolutely horrible in the snow.
I took delivery of a set of these tires today and had them mounted and balanced this afternoon. They were mounted with the painted green and blue (I’m color blind) peripheral lines on the surface of the tread toward the outside on each side of the car. Is this correct? I didn’t notice any directional arrow on either side of the tire. The outside tread on the drivers side is slanted to the rear and the outer tread on the passenger side is slanted towards the front. The car drives and handles great and the ride is smooth and quiet. Love these tires, just wanted to make sure they were mounted properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Is this truecontact tour 54? Good on WI snow roads? I have a new to me hyundai venue that will be 1st winter with me. I need tires and have no idea which to go with. Help?
So when the S wears out, then we can only drive in wet and dry only and we have to stay indoors when it snows?? Who cares about the 90,000 mile warranty then... Cuz we'll never reach that in 10 years...
I mean. I live in northern Ohio and we barely see snow anymore. Even up here I think you can get away with this tire. And if you have more snow then maybe consider just buying a different set as winters. VikingContact 7 is top tier winter tire.

Go with the extreme contacts if you can well worth it.
Do you know what a no cure is? How much do they pay you?
I don’t get paid by manufacturers. I wish I did. You can explain your interpretation of “No Cure”.
I had these tires on my 2021 Mercedes GLA AMG A35 I will never never never buy a Continental Tire in my life and I will tell all my friends in our sports car club not to buy Continental Tires I have michelins on my Corvette 1,000 x a better Tire Continental simply garbage after 16,000km the belts on the back tires have moved and both front tires are worn terrible terrible terrible and I don't even drive the car hard what a joke
what about cooper tires i want to buy a pair of cooper tires the cs5 780 A A or the endeavor 680 A A both tires look good to me. can you please tell me which of these tires
That’s probably from the performance of that car .. tires wear quicker on sports car lol
