    Wait a second, are you using foam for aggregate? Little foam beads for aggregate? How is the strength? My mind is blown. How did you ever come up with such a thing? Please don't misunderstand me, I kinda think its brilliant. I'm a girly girl and I don't do cement but honestly your tempting me to come play in the mud with you guys. Yes it's strong but is used only for non structural purposes. For example a separation wall. Industries are producing these stuff worldwide in huge quantities. It is easier to make than aerated Crete blocks. It's waterproof, floats, good weather insulation specially in hot countries. Styrofoam is the key material to build boat fridges and cold rooms. It keeps everything cold for more than 12 hours with using electricity.

      @@fauxrockwow thank very much for taking your time to reply. I will be checking out your video. And Thanks for that formula, it will make a great base. I’ll be substituting water with aircrete(foaming agent).
      For the house I plan to use rebar and hog wire for the structure. Pour the mold. That will be for the soft inside and then making a hard shell on the outside with chicken wire and fiber cloth and a slurry. I’m thinking of adding the paint in this formula to give it more strength and bonding power.

There is an absurd amount of conflicting information on the matter on UA-cam, compete with all their testings and findings, etc. Lots of people in other countries seem to be building with it and appear happy with its performance. • @fauxrock
      @fauxrock  2 роки тому +1

      Even if you applied some bonding agent additive or any attitude frankly you would still have the problem of the Styrofoam itself being very porous and therefore you would have porosity where and you would not have waterproof material… Just saying

      There are several different formulations that we use... it really depends on your application as to the exacting formulation. Give me a call to discuss your interest. Thanks, Jim

      I wanted to make small fountains out of this. I want to be able to form it and shape it a bit. What do you suggest

      It would be something that you could do, but it would less weight to start with a block of styrofoam which you could carve to the shape you want and then code it with a thin shell of cement.

    The title says "Making", but I only see ingredients and talking about what you are going to do. Where is the "making"? I want to see how you blend all the ingredients. I wouldn't watch a cooking show were they just displayed what was included in the dish, and then NOT show me how to prepare it.

      Jack,
      The next video after the video that you watched shows the mixing and the application of the foam mixture.
      Thanks

    Polystyrene beads and cement, are you using sand. Is that it, just these two above ingredients plus water.

    • @fauxrock

      You are correct... no sand.
