I really think Phil just wants people to acknowledge his greatness. Out of everyone that was good at Poker 40 years ago, he’s the only one who still is around except Erik Seidel. He crushed in the 90’s, he managed to adapt his game during the internet boom, and he’s still playing well and winning bracelets now in the GTO era. The man deserves his flowers. Not to mention he is the best (and most polarizing) personality in poker whether you love or hate him.

and it's funny bcos i genuinely think if phil just let his poker speak for itself, ppl would be more prone to acknowledge his greatness, but instead he just hems and haws about how much he deserves it which drives people away more and more

For Hellmuth took long to think about it shouldn’t be a surprise because it’s a bomb pot, and Aces is a terrible hand in bomb pot where he cannot improve unless an Ace shows up on the Turn or River. I like Hellmuth's confidence. He is great. Poker players don't need to be humble. 😊

I love Negreanu and Hellmuth and Phil showing modesty here means he is still growing as a human being. Nice! I hope he will be still around winning when he is old.

That's the first time I actually saw him beat Negreanu in one of these UA-cam clips. Usually Negreanu gets the best of him, and Hellmuth is sent off muttering about how the universe is against him.
