Exploring the BNSF Marceline Sub Between La Plata & Norborne, MO - September 21, 2018

Day 2 on the Southern Transcon with another night spent at La Plata, moving westward towards Kansas City for our last stop on the trip. We stopped at some awesome spots along the Marceline Sub, including the city of Marceline where the famous Walt Disney grew up and started his career. You will see in the video the park that he played in as a kid and his love of trains on display. Also featured are some of the last remaining ATSF searchlight signal bridges still standing on the entire Chicago to LA mainline. We end the day though in the busy, and I mean BUSY place of Norborne, MO, where the NS Kansas City District and the BNSF Marceline Sub have joint trackage between WB Junction and CA Junction. The day couldn't have ended more perfectly than with one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen in my entire life! So just sit back, relax, and enjoy!
